This is why the desert will always be my favorite part of Sumeru. The lore is so deep and convoluted that I need KlemenTime's content to connect things together in my head. Thank you for this ❤
While the desert was the most tiresome area I explored while playing, I still loved the story and politics hidden behind it. Glad to know the video helped!
As much as I LOVE your high quality videos, Watching a video with like 100 names mentioned and no main plot to follow through was extremely exhausting... I appreciate all the scenes, they were beautiful and I can't imagine the amount of work you put into it. But my slow brain turned into just spaghetti half way through... Still the GOAT in genshin lore content.
Can’t argue with that. Tbh it was mostly hard to follow for us as well T_T but I hoped that using different NPC models would help. Still wish they would show us these characters in a form of a teaser like they did with Ei’s friends.
So all this time our dear Kazuboi has been roaming Teyvat salvaging all that hidden lore and the lost history. But seriously, this game's lore never fails to blow my mind. I've been playing since day one without any breaks and there's still so much lore I didn't even exists in the game.
That’s true! While people are waiting for Natlan for its war tropes, there was already one in Sumeru hidden from us. Still, I hope they make a similar plan behind Natlan’s tribes and make it easier to notice.
This video is insanely well made - from the story presentation to the animations, this is literally one of the best lore videos that exist for Genshin 🔥❤️
Great video! I am deeply impressed by the level of presentation both in terms of visuals and audio. It is clear that the channel team's efforts have paid off incredibly well- you have successfully created a truly professional Genshin Impact documentary series. I hope to see even more videos for both new and old content and I'll definitely be keeping up with your channel's videos in the future. Thank you for your hard work!
I'm so happy to see more klementime storytelling!! Especially about an indepth history such as sumeru desert xD!!! Awesome refresher, learned new things and connect lores that may had been confusing to connect. The visual map and directions to guide us to understand what's going on was so fun and intriguing. It became easier for me to digest information and entertaining to learn. There's a few things that I would like the video to improved on. -The subtitles. I personally would like them to increase the subtitle words size a little larger because it is quite difficult to read along while you speak with small text ^^". -The intro was beautifully made as usual xD. However, some words are blended into the background picture so i wouldn't be able to clearly read them ^^". -Lastly, the cursive titles. I'm interested in the attractive, authentic fonts, but I'm not very fluent in reading cursive fonts ^^". It could just be me who lives most of my life without cursive ^^" All in all, I'm delighted to see new video from you and it have been a fun experience to watch xD! Thank you hehe
Klemen, your contents are always great no matter what you upload, and your visuals are perfectly on point. You're so criminally underrated; I hope you eventually get the spotlight and all the support you deserve!
This is AMAZING! The production of this video is so good as it presents the history visually... To this day I don't get the players that judge a region by its aesthetics. Now they're complaining about Natlan being too colorful but we lore players know dang well its a facade and these people hated the desert and Dragonspine anyway. If Natlan was fully volcano and barren they would've hated it as well. I wonder if Natlan has historical connections to Sumeru seeing as it is just west of the desert...🤔
Amazing video! If you won't mind, I'd like to share some thoughts on the matter. For the question of dating this everything, could it be after the calamity? Since the form of a phrase "this happened thousands of years ago" is more likely to be just a traditional formula in orally told stories whether they be fairytales or legends or epics, there is a possibility it gives little to nothing on dating events... Also, some thoughts on Xiphos, Faramarz and Balash. First of all, could it be Balash who wrote the story on the last obelisk? I believe, Goraz sent Faramarz to, possibly, not necessarily kill him, but to perserve Balash was no threat to his reign (being blind is enough for that purpose). I guessed so, since it is most likely Balash being a narrator in the Key of Khaj-Nisut (he mentions he was once a counselling minister), he was a renowned poet (him being blind only adds to the story as in most middle-eastern cultures the best poets are said to be blind) and by timings he could live in the same time with obelisk? Also, Balash recognized Xiphos as a fallen prince (although it's debatable whether it was a real thing or just a metaphore; Key of Khaj-Nisut tells it was a real thing, but I'm not inclined to 100% believe those stories in weapons especially when it comes to some tropes like Xiphos's one, with him being a fled prince dressed like a peasant - it's possible it could be just a nod to stories of Fereydun/Aedipus, I mean, some desert-like trope) and gave him the Key of Khaj-Nisut, long-lost skipetre of non other than King Deshret himself, so something seems fishy about the figure of Balash as whole. Might he be a part of Temple of Silence? Known for its great keepers of secrets, talented scriptors and that also was placed it Tulaytullah? Just a theory, nothing more) Then, to Xiphos himself. Are you sure he was in love with Makhaira?.. His sword (the Moonlight) mentions there was a Jinni in his sword that loved him, also, the Key of Khaj-Nisut solidifies it. Makhaira told she was a daughter to a Jinni (maybe, she was lying), not a Jinni herself... Oh, yeah, and I believe Faramarz was the one to kill Makhaira due to her insatiation with current power, he tells something about "snake poisoned kiss that sealed the lips" in the lamp... once again, thank you very much, the animations were wondrous, I especially liked the map of desert!
The cataclysm only happened 500 years ago, while all theses events dates back to more than a thousand years ago after King deshret's sacrifice, also yes Makhaira and Xiphos were in love, Makhaira had four lovers and she was just a Concubine jinn so it's normal, the four lovers being Xiphos, Faramarz, Badanah and Balash or Goraz i forgot which one
Thats hella twisted. All the more so that its really there just waiting for you to discover. I dont dive that deep in the lore but I always read the text that I could find while exploring. So I am really grateful that you are diving this deep for us.
I'm so in love with your channel!! Your videos are so well written and easy to digest! Also, your voice sounds so much like Kazuha so its kinda like I'm listening to a history story from him haha!! Thanks for everything you do, you deserve soooo much support!
Really good video, though you did forget some things like how Xiphos and Makhaira died, there were 99 cities, the Gurabad tyrant who attacked Tulaytullah (even though it's most likely Badanah) and a lot of things not mentioned in the first Gurabad section, but other than it's really good, also the mirage is most likely hermanubis or his vassals
the genshin team building an entire historical saga for a gacha game 😅 i feel like i'm studying for a history exam everytime I watch a klementime lore vid
With these videos, we might not even need an anime adaptation for the teyvat lore. And after watching this, humans are really just one sad greedy beings that don't deserve any kindness from the world.
Great video and amazing quality! Do you think that the mirage mentioned in Part III could be related to Hermanubis in some way? Maybe that siege of Tullaytullah is the one described in the cutscene of Cyno's 2nd Story Quest, where Hermanubis himself fought defending the city. Or maybe it's one of his followers bearing a fragment of his power. How do you think the timeline of the Temple of Silence fits in tbe overarching timeline presented in this video?
I think the Temple of Silence would fit during the time of Shirin and Shiruyeh as it notes that “there was infighting among the rulers”. Since Kisra was now the ruler of Gurabad at this point, he was a power-hungry king.
goat genshin lore youtuber!! i was wandering...where are those godly being after the fall of king deshrett and rukha went to? why these human seems taking control of sumeru? after the war of archons, arent they supposed to be ruled by a God?? which one took place first, human history or the archon war??
