I feel in the next couple of years, the Jackets have massive boom or bust potential. If our prospect pool develops well, I can see a strong offensive team, and maybe some signings can boost our defense and goalies. However, we can easily be bottom-feeders for at least the next 5 years, likely more. Knowing the Jackets (and Ohio sports not named OSU or the Crew), it'll all waste away
The Biggest Problem with our Offseason was Laine on his paid vacation for the last 8 months which held up the ole trading him since Teams couldnt talk to him before/during the draft and during the opening of free agency whilst he was in "The Program"!! Rumors were, we wanted to make a run at signing Lindholm and a Top RD or a Top Ten in this last Draft!! Which Laines money off the Brokes Would've allowed!! But Then, Laine happened again... People Forget our last 4 Seasons of Coaching Hell has been because of Laine Forcing Torts outta Town!! Its Been a Dumpster Fire Since.... He's a Good Guy but it's time to go!! Columbus Wants Dawgs not Pups😂 PS. You Just Met Someone Else Who Loved Nazar and Mateychuk as Well from that Draft!! My Buddies Dad is a Coach and Scout and Dealt with Cooley and Nazar in all their youth leagues, He said Nazar will be much better than cooley in the NHL and it wasn't close!! He said "He's got that Dawg in em" lol I wanted him so bad on the Jackets!! Also, How dare you disrespect Voronkov after the season he had getting no Time on Ice plus stuck on AHL lines the last 35 games of the year after he was leading the Calder almost midway thru the season!! The World Will Find out Who "Dima" Is🤌🏻🇷🇺 2nd Also, I believe they have eventually having Charlie Elick or Corson Cuelemans play RD With Mateychuk!! Elicks Defense is Pretty Shut Down!! But much in agreement with you on how bad the defensive part of the game is still gonna be this year but its gonna be fun watching all the kids grow another year...
