I think you missed a lot of the context as to why so many people were freaking out over bald Harry Styles - it was because he did it like right after 1989 Taylor's Version came out and iirc in one of the vault songs Taylor makes a snide remark about Harry growing his hair out after they broke up, so even though it was most likely a really crazy coincidence all the Swifties were freaking out bc they thought he shaved his head in response to a Taylor Swift lyric. And while we're talking about Taylor Swift, IMO the "seemingly ranch" meme was ruined almost immediately by brands capitalizing on it, like Heinz literally made a limited run of "seemingly ranch" sauce. If anything, to me the "seemingly ranch" meme was a terrifying display of how powerful Taylor and her fans became this year.

I remember going to see the FNAF movie when it came out with my friends and we walked into the movie theater right as a showing of her Eras Tour movie had ended and we were greeted with what seemed like a horde of rabid young women and girls with pink cowboy hats and kandi bracelets who all looked like they'd seen God Himself. 2023 was Taylor Swift's year (even Time fucking magazine seems to agree with that) and from the looks of things 2024 will be hers too. If you wanna know my thoughts on her actual music, she's made some songs I truly despise with every fibre of my being, but damn, those two folky chamber pop albums she dropped during the pandemic? I think they're great. Some genuine tear-jerkers on those records.
I was so confused seeing Harry shaved. I'm not on social media, so this video was my first time hearing about it. I'm a fan of BTS though and they have all recently shaved their heads because they have enlisted in the South Korean military for their mandatory service. It took my brain a few moments to realise there are other reasons people shave other than joining the military.
