This video is SUPER helpful ! I appreciate seeing the recommendation from an actual dermatologist on what to use because many sources online deem everything unsafe for pregnancy 🙄
bro literallyyy lmao. if i listened to what all the internet has had to say ab what’s unsafe while pregnant i would literally just be washing my face and moisturizing it with zero actives or sunscreen or anything 😭 no thanks
Wow! I’m a dude, who’s obviously obsessed w skincare and I kinda looove her! Never heard of her but the credentials are legit, love the clarity and confidence in which she speaks and the sound of her voice is sweet and soothing. Never heard of this HA from Vichy but I’m going to try it next time instead of their HA Mineral 89 which I use everyday and can’t live without. Good job!
I had no idea I should be avoiding retinoids while pregnant 😩 I came here to find tips, leaving realising I've been using my regular skincare when I shouldn't have 🤦🏻♀️ thank you!!! Off to search for some new products ❤️ X
Thanks! I just got pregnant so this is perfect, right now I'm looking for a body lotion, I was using the neutrogena hydroboost and saw a lot of improvement of my belly stretch marks but I want a replacement because neutrogena is not cruelty-free
Hold the phone! Salicylic acid is ok during pregnancy and breastfeeding??? I’m nursing and have been avoiding it but I want to use it for my normal pimples too.
I had the same reaction. My OB told me no but provided no explanation. I've heard some other derm doctors saying the same. That's safe if it 2% or less.
I came across this video at the perfect time, currently in my first pregnancy and have been so terrified to use salicylic acid cleansers!! could I ask if the following are safe to use in pregnancy? I haven't been able to find any information about any of them and any advice would be appreciated: 1. Medicube Age-R Booster-H device 2. Licorice root (have heard a lot of conflicted information about it) 3. Glycolic acid (specifically the Honest beauty sleep resurfacing serum) 4. the VT Reedle shot: Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polyisobutene, Glycereth-26, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Adenosine, Sodium Polyacrylate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Sorbitan Oleate, Xanthan Gum, Propolis Extract, Asiaticoside, Madecassoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid, Glycine, Serine, Glutamic Acid, Aspartic Acid, Leucine, Alanine, Lysine, Arginine, Tyrosine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Proline, Valine, Isoleucine, Histidine, Methionine, Cysteine I have also been terrified to use anything with any form of salicylate in it... Thank you so much
I just wash my face with a gel cleanser a natural one and moisturise with natural rosehip and moisturiser and that's all 😁 I stopped using retinol I'm 19 weeks and skin has cleared 1st trimester acne was crazy but guess hormones has calmed down for now 😅
She just had a baby and her skin is beautiful!😇this video was super informative and now when I decide to have a baby in the future I’ll know how to take care of my skin🌼❤️
Thank you so much for your content! I’m 7 weeks pregnant at the moment and getting hormonal breakouts for the first time in my life. I have been desperately trying to research the same Inky List salicylic acid cleanser - reassuring to know that I can use it safely
Hi Doctor great to see skin care products for pregnancy and breastfeeding ladies, but sadly most of these are not available in Australia please mention alternatives thx ☺️
Absolutely love this video, thank you so much. I did have a question about a product, is it safe to use Skinceuticals LHA Gel Cleanser while pregnant since it is a BHA I believe?
My problem is white spot when I get pregnant, I got it with my first born, and I’m suspecting it’s a vitiligo, because it’s not itchy or anything, and it won’t go way, I don’t use any products that are harmful when I’m pregnant, I only use cerave and mild cleanser. And yet I got this. I haven’t visit any doctor or dermatologist. But I think it’s possible to get vitiligo when you’re pregnant because the hormones messed you up.
I'm 33 years, plz i need recommendations for eye cream and hydrating cream safe in pregnancy, before I was use skinceuticals eye cream, and murad product, I have very dry skin, thanks
From my understanding, SA is okay in small doses and best in short contact forms. Of course, check with your doctor if you are unsure but that's my searches have shown :). I'm using a face wash with a small amount of SA during my pregnancy, but I don't do any treatments where I leave the SA product on my skin.
I've read this too, however, I used a salicylic acid cleanser during both my pregnancies (this was before I read about salicylic acid not being pregnancy safe) and thankfully both my kiddos are fine🤩👏
I would. Always double check with your Dr, but my reasoning is that you would still take prenatal vitamins, so I would do the same with skincare. Best of luck. Xx
Hi Dr, Lindsey, I'm currently in 8 months pregnancy and I'm using Clinique 3 system skincare product and my clarifying lotion toner and the moisturizer it contains salicylic acid...can I know is it safe to use the Clinique toner and the moisturizer that contains salicylic acid during pregnancy? Can I know is it safe to use Clinique skincare products during pregnancy ?
Hi Dr., thanks for this video! I have been using the colorscience total protection face shield for a year now and I love it. However I noticed it has Butyloctyl Salicylate as the second ingredient . Isn’t this a derivate of salicylic acid? And its a known fact that Salicylic acid isn’t safe for pregnancy. Can you advise please? Thanks x
Hey I’ve got a question. Do you recommend buying skincare products in person (going to the company store) or online (e-purchasing from the company)? Because lets say the sun is extremely strong, 30c, beaming hot and you go in person to buy the product. Won’t the sun’s heat age the skincare product on the way back home even though it’s in a bag? Or is that not true? Thanks!
Please do a skincare collaboration video with James welsh,Gothamista,Cassandra bankson & Beauty within Please do a nail & lipcare video & also a bridal skincare routine Please include routine finder for easy purchase of products in ur brand please
From what I understand about this product,it's expected that it will oxidize a little bit color-wise, but that doesn't mean that it's oxidized past the point of being effective as an antioxidant serum.
@@nehanair25meow I don't know. That's what my derm told me. Tretinoin is the only ingredient proven to reverse wrinkles for decades. Adapalene does help a bit.
To be honest I truthfully think it looks so much worse when people get Botox like this. Her upper lip, and I’m sorry to say but it doesn’t move and makes her look older. Your eyebrows don’t move and so we can’t see your expression at all and makes you look older and less real. I think youth shows more when we are able to express! And just be us! This is just sad and too much.
I really know how mean this sound but you are SO naturally beautiful it’s shocking, your facial symmetry.. so pretty and I bet without the Botox even MORE so.
I'm torn on this. In my opinion, if its a cleanser and washed off the skin, it won't absorb that much, so could be fine. I wouldn't use it in a face cream or serum. Ahh I just heard her say "short contact treatment" in the video.
I’m one of those that broke out, but it just started at the end of my 2nd trimester! I actually got contact dermatitis so I scrapped my whole routine that I had been using for over a year and my derm had me use hydrocortisone until it cleared up 🥲
