Thank you for those kind words Stevio which I am so pleased to hear as Peter died on October 4th, so this is one of his legacies to the world of RU-vid and woodturners.
First, who are the 2 peeps that gave thumbs down? Let's see their vid. Oh, they don't have one. Second, loved the process of wire burning. What an elegant simple add that completely changes the dynamics of the overall look. Outstanding project, video, commentary, etc... Just bought a lathe and can't wait to try this. Many thanks!
Peter, excellent tip on using the pvc pipe as a mandrel, I agree to only use the Crush Grind mechanism it's well worth the extra money.Nice design and use of the clear tubing to view the contents. Great job!
I am sorry to say that 9 months ago I had a stroke which affected my left arm and I am not woodturning at the moment. Thank you for your lovely comments and if you or any one on here makes a grinder like mine, I should be interested to know how you get on. Peter.
Thank you Peter, I have enjoyed the video very much, I think that you have created a very functional grinder, nothing worse then sitting down to dinner and finding your out of pepper, very practicable and well done.
I have watched this video several times now over the last couple of years, always wanting to make one of these grinders. Thank you for the video, I agree that the quality and craftsmanship of the pepper grinder and your video are superb! I hope to make this grinder soon!
I don't know where's to start. The grinder is beautiful, the video editing and commentary explanations are excellent. Camera placement was great. Really easy to follow you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art. I look forward to watching you create another piece.
Good morning, I want to know where to buy just the grinding mechanism, I have a lathe, I'm retired and would like to sell it, could you help me. thank you. Brazil
Hello woodturners, I have been asked by my husband Peter Fisher to tell you that he is no longer able to carry out any woodturning due to a bad stroke that has taken away the use of his left arm. However, he is more than happy to give any advice or help if you wish to make a pepper grinder. Please contact me here. I apologise in advance as there may some delay on the response.
@@shanestevens622 Hi Shane, thanks for the message. Peter says that the internal bore diameter of the perspex tube has to be the same as the external diameter of the grinder chamber. I hope that makes sense.
@@parapotter1 hi ,sorry I was after the actual size . I haven't bought my grinding unit yet and was keen to know the internal bore of the perspex so I could buy them together. If you can remember the size that is, thanks.
Peter isn't able to go to the workshop to check, sorry. He suggests that you contact the grinder supplier for the dimensions of the grinder. The perspex tube comes from The Clear Perspex Tube Company and they have plenty of different sizes. He mentions the external size, but not the internal, in the video, but perhaps there again the suppliers should be able to tell you. Hope this is helpful.
