Billie and Finneas are so good at telling a story and bringing out people's emotions. No matter what topic she sings about she has an incredible way of connecting with people. I look forward to seeing you explore her music, she certainly covers a lot of genre's and ideas. Some songs have a deep message and others are just fun stories with dope beats. You never know what you're going to get.
10:13 It has to be sociopath because psychopaths don't get bellyaches. Sociopaths feel regrets whereas psychos enjoy the pain they inflict. The story unfolds as regret and remorse. Though fictional, the song reflects her childhood fears of stealing and the imagined consequences had she gone down that path.

I love the way Billie moves. You can really see the training and skill. That she had to give up serious dance because of injury saddens me immensely, not just for our loss, but for hers.
This is one of my favourites from Billie, this whole album is pretty much made from my favourite songs. 😁 If you wanna see her do some dancing I would recommend 'Hostage' MV.
Oooo I like this song!!! Billie really impresses me and makes me so relieved that she isn't stripping down like most female singers. I really hopes she sticks to her guns and doesn't one day collapse under that pressure from society.
Excellent video. I loved the initial prediction based on the look of the video before anything really starts. I think Billie definitely has the skills to act if she wanted to. I believe she's expressed in the past that she has no interest in it aside from her music videos. I'm hoping future Billie will have a change of mind about it and decide she wants to give it a go. I think she'd be excellent.
I always thought this song was about someone using drugs to cope with heart break... “my friends aren’t far in the back of my car lay they’re bodies” like they are physically there but not mentally because they are high. “Where’s my mind? Maybe it’s in the gutter where I left my lover” as in she “lost her mind” ie getting high, and she left her lover behind.
I think you liked the song so much because you actually did relate to it. I had the same but after listening to it a few times I found out that everyone could at one point want (or had) to revenge a person because they treated you badly, whereafter these feelings of having a bellyache then appear. It's not about doing a real severe crime like murder but it's about consciously taking revenge on people you love.

In this song Bellyache the first seen shows Billie sitting on the side of the road and if you look closer in the back ground you will see a shovel in a pile of dirt... that's were she retrieved the money, after she killed her friends ☠ If you listen real close, Billie uses the words MY, MINE, MIND, & "I DON'T MIND" (now stay with me... ) You'll hear the D in the very first words cut off Which turns 🎶mind into 🎶MINE or My Then in the 1st chorus she sings 🎶 where's my MINE ?!...🎶 as in... "where's what's owed to me" (typical psychopath phase) The video Also gives reference to a play on the phase "my MINDS in the gutter", & the phase The "Windmills of my MIND" YES there are Windmills in the background of the video!!! Billie's GENUIS is amazing she's the real deal... the cop at the end does not stand a chance 🔪☠🤪 I also love Billie does not see the yellow flowers but feels them and the next seen she has ripped them out of the ground and throws them into the air.
I love this song!! I believe she explained the meaning behind this before but everyone seems to think its just a fun fictional story- it's not!! The story in the music video is pretty obvios, a girl who murdered her friends/family but doesn't know why. The meaning (i believe) is about billie and her rise to fame. The bigger she became she more friends she unintentionally hurt eventually having to leave them all due to the pressure of being such a big star at such a young age. In her friends eyes she was being selfish and consumed by fame. She became aware of everyone's perception of her, giving her horrible guilt and a shitty bellyache. So at the end of the story she can no longer take the guilt (" now I got a bellyache") hinting at her suic*de.
Not meant to be a serious song, really. She's telling a story from the perspective of a serial killer. Billie has a lot of very deep songs, but this is more of a fun one lol XD I haven't heard of an "aunt finneus." Her brother if Finneus. And Billie herself used to be a dancer before she injured her knee :)
On the noose part I just realized while you were talking that maybe she meant that she will kill herself in secret, and since no one would know she killed her self people would still think she is on the loose and be scared as to where she will pop up next💀

Editing to add suggestions: - Copycat (Mahogany sessions, not the album version) - All the Good Girls Go To Hell (live on Howard Stern - it's acoustic and way better than the album version with no creepy visuals) - Hostage (official video). It's darker, but if you enjoyed the dancing in this one, you should appreciate it.
