Billy, I can tell you exactly where those panels with the lilies, and the panels in the same color scheme as the Chapel come from. What you are turning into the Bar, was the nun's cloister where the nuns would have attended Mass and sung the Office before Vatican II. Since the nuns were not allowed to sit in the congregation in the nave of the Chapel, they had the cloister area separated from the rest of the Chapel by a wood and iron grille and choir stalls for the nuns. The panel with the lilies would have been the base of the grille on one side of the arch into the Chapel and there would have been a matching one on the other side, with an Ironwork gate in the middle for the nuns to receive Communion at. The panels that match the colour scheme of the Chapel were the fronts of the choir stalls for the nuns. They would have been three rows facing each other across the Chapel with an aisle down the middle. Each row would have been higher up than the one in front. This would allow the nuns to sing the Pslams in an antiphonal response style. The Bar/Cloister would have matched the decoration scheme of the Chapel in its entirety. I hope this helps.
Edwardolsen! That is fantastic!!! I love learning the history. I have watched from before Billy got the keys! My absolute favorate youtube channel!! ❤❤
Oh my goodness, Ryan visited! Been wondering where he's been! Are we going to get a chance for a Simon interview before he leaves? Ryan could do it and I'm sure it would be a hoot!
Wow. Feeling emotional seeing Ryan. I'm subscribed to his channel, and I didn't realize how much I've missed him. You have exquisite taste. Love the chandeliers, the exposed beams, paint color, all of it. Looking forward to watching the library evolve.
Todays end pose 10/10 - Beer, the finest lads and Ryan! Just want to mention how impressed I am with Billys steady camera work considering he is holding the camera in one hand and a beer in the other👍🤗
Daily updates are great! The work your team has accomplished is absolutely amazing!! WONDERFUL to see Ryan!! He looks fit and glad to be toasting his buddies! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
So very, very nice work. I really enjoy watching the progress. To Day I heard Billy talk about the bedrooms upstairs, I personally struggle with the everending corridor. I suggest you break it up by not using all bedrooms. Let some be open as small snugs with a little sofagroup. That would also bring more natural light into the corridor.
🇨🇦👋 Love the daily updates. Having built my home, I know how the tedious work takes time without grandiose rewards … until you see the room completing! Thanks for taking along!
The lily represents purity, the Virgin Mary and represent the moment the spirit leaves the body and also represents St Anthony. This is just the religious part of the meaning.
Billy do not get any ideas about once a week videos! lol. I am sure I am not the only one that looks forward to your videos. Crack on, you guys are doing a great job!!!
Billy, for the first floor in the convent, did you ever consider having the hallway along the side, along the windows. This would give you much larger rooms up there, and NO DARK long hallway, instead, a beautiful sun light hallway. Maybe a lounge to break up the “Dormitory “ look. With pictures on the wall and seating in the windows to look over the pool and garden ? Just thinking, space is not a problem for you. Great to see Ryan ! Miss him too !
Schön, die Drohnenaufnahme von Alex. Danke für ein weiteres Musikvideo. Ich freue mich auf den Einbau der wunderschönen Außentüren. I love to see Ryan again. Hi Ryan.
You cheeky thing Ryan, showing up for a cold brew. Someone mentioned they thought they saw you behind a door yesterday. I went back to review. Though couldn't find. Glad to see your crazy self.
