This is my interview with Ross Brodar. Ross is the man behind the film “The Lynchpin Of Bensonhurst”, which is the story of Dominick Montiglio. We talk about the history of Ross and Dominick’s relationship as well as their bond over their love of creating art. We will also take a look at and discuss some of Dominick’s paintings and drawings. Furthermore, we will discuss Dominicks time in Vietnam and how he carried that through his life. Lastly, we will discuss his Uncle Nino Gaggi and go through individual DeMeo crew members and Dominicks opinions of each one.
It was a great discussion and i think we can all learn something from it. It’s also my first ever interview, so i would greatly appreciate you guys and gals checking it out. I tried to make it interesting and formulate questions that would please anyone interested in Dominick and The DeMeo crew story.
You can watch “The Lynchpin of Bensonhurst” by visiting this link

Rest In Peace to all the victims who have lost their lives due to crime. The events that are discussed in these videos are not an attempt to glorify, but to look at NYC Crime from a historical perspective. May the victims families find strength in remembrance of their loved ones.

Of all Gaggi's bad deeds, what he did to Dominick was (give or take) the worst. Without his mafia affiliation, Nino would've just been a loud mouth spiteful bum. Dominick still accomplished alot in his life, but he had so much more potential. Great interview!

You can't say that because to climb the ladder in that crowd that life you have to have something because how many family members of high standing people in the life lost there life.
@Kee2Oz
@Kee2Oz 2 года назад
@@emiliosquillace5228 Nino would've lost his life in short order by Paul or Gotti. Paul's assassination and jail saved Gaggi's life from a hit. Nino got his foot in the door and a very good head start because of Frank Scalise.

@@Kee2Oz nino was one of Paul's ears on the ground don't forget Paul was in restaurants or meetings he needed nino to control Gemini westies you no gotti different I don't no what nino thought about that but had no problem when Paul got the job over niel or Gambino Tommy.

@Kee2Oz
@Kee2Oz 2 года назад
@@emiliosquillace5228 I'm referring towards the end, Paul was very unhappy with Nino. He hadn't had Roy under control and in that way was directly responsible for Paul being on trial. Their bond was not very tight by then. And then under Gotti, Nino made it clear that he wouldn't take orders because he didn't accept Gotti as boss. John Gotti would've had to eventually kill Nino for insubordination.

Really like the tile piece. I like to own art that is escapism so would never own something so dark, but I definitely appreciate it. If I was wealthy and invested in art, would definitely buy it. Dominick’s story is like a modern Shakespearean tragedy to me

Nice job Brett--no interrupting like most interviewers. Question & couple comments. Who did Dom "rat on?" To Ross-no mystery why guys rat-they prefer freedom to dying in prison. Welcome to Hollywood Ross--full of crazy psychpathic thieves-like the mob.[PS like Dom I graduated from a Levittown high school and love doowop] God Bless.

the website doesn't work for me but it might be my old ass laptop, idk. Just for whatever its worth thought i'd let you know. thx Truly an amazing story, would not want to have met Dominick in or near DeMeo's Bar, or have been an enemy of his. Some humans understand how to seem normal and live here on earth, BUT they ARE NOT ANYTHING LIKE YOU, and they live a reality universes away from you. It is insane the lives some ppl have lived and you'd have no idea

Unfortunately he was inflicted by the sickness of addiction wasn't the only one yes he had a conscience. A bit like Phil leonetti or Henry Hill. Love the life but not all of it. Nicky scarfo used to say his no good his not meant for this life about whoever he was talking about or planning to dispose of.

Two of Paul's daughters husbands/boyfriends ended up being killed by Paul. Nino had come across in documentaries as a really bad guy, which he was, but reading mrdr machine nino actually comes off as a much better guy than I had previously thought.

And when Carlo died 1975 nino put Dom overwatch upstairs when Paul was made boss as you discussed earlier I think carbine m1. Shoot anyone was the instruction if things turn bad.brooklyn crew Manhattan crew. Niel Mr niel delacrocce. Paul castalano. Bergen hunt and fish crew John Gotti. And Tommy Balotti.
