This is day 1 of our collection of home videos of our trip to Disneyland in September of 2023.
We packed up early morning here in Utah on September 8th 2023 and hopped on the road heading west towards California. We spent the night in Victorville then woke up and finished our drive to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. We pulled up to the Hotel with excitement and anticipation and was greeted by the staff at the entrance where they helped unpack our luggage and sent us on our way. We chose self parking across the street so as Freddy parked the car the rest of the crew headed in to the Grand Californian. Upon the beautiful wooden entrance there is check in to the right and straight ahead is one of the most magnificent lobbies we have ever seen. With a raised ceiling showcasing the elegance of the Hotel, a fireplace that is so stunning, and plenty of seating to relax and take in the vibes you can’t help but feel like you have truly entered something magical.
We then went up to our room to put our things away. As we entered the room it immediately felt comfortable and as cozy as a hotel room can feel. The balcony overlooking the courtyard was so amazing and refreshing it added a huge boost to the experience. We then unpacked and got on our way to downtown Disney!
From here we entered the park and hopped on the “Disneyland Railroad” one of Dilly’s favorites. We rode that to “Toontown’” and went straight for the new “Mickey and Mini’s Runaway Railway”. After our first official ride of the trip we jumped over to “Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin”.
From there we enjoyed the rest of the day doing rides, eating good food, and having a great time exploring new and favorite attractions.
