I was listening to this in the background and got to the scam Anthropologie email I straight up forgot that it was a clothing line. My dumbass was like "anthropology? THE anthropology?? The entire scientific field of humanity, concerned with human behavior, human biology, cultures and societies, in both the present and past, including past human species (that I totally did not copy and paste the definition from Wikipedia)???"

So onision's inner voice is just... Ben Shapiro? Actually, probably pretty accurate

I feel like the part where Onision straight up sends you blackmail through your business email could have been its own video, but I'm guessing you threw it into this one as an afterthought to piss off Greg's tiny little narcissist ego, and I am down for that. :D

Defamation is insanely difficult to prove, even if you said "Onision is a rapist" that would still not constitute defamation. Defamation is basically trying to intentionally spread lies in order to harm someone's reputation in a way that would cause damage to them, especially financial. Talking about Onision's accusers and rumors or whatever, does not meet that criteria. If you were brought to court over it, you could just say "well look at all these people who accused him and it was credible" and they lose right there. They'd have to prove that you have a vendetta against him and did it in order to harm him. You know what the best part would be? He will lose and then have to pay your attorney fees. Then again you're Canadian so it probably wouldn't even get that far.

If you use the _totally FDA approved_ hair removal device then you might be a better candidate for the Turkish hair transplant sponsorship.

To answer your question about "required to follow up a certain amount of times" that you ask, that is 100% the situation. I once received recruitment e-mails for a job that I was already employed in by a recruitment team that I personally knew by name and face in the office. I even said, "Hey, you know I already work here, right?" They basically gave a "yup, but we're required to contact you anyways."

The Chinese MCM one is hilarious to me. Like, most mainland folk who are remotely interested in online content have some sort of paid for VPN. I have a load of mainland Chinese mutuals who are freely interacting on English Twt. There are literally mainland Chinese skeptic blue ticks that make RU-vid content (Naomi Wu is a great creator in the makerspace, for example). It's one of those things that's technically illegal but no one cares. The only reason one would want to reupload content is to not bother with VPN speeds. This is such a scam

The weird long spaces in the salutations are definitely empty name fields from a mail merge template. Considering how easy it is to pull in mail merge data from a spreadsheet, I'd venture to guess that they straight-up didn't know your name and didn't bother to Google before approaching you with a sketchy business proposal. Dunno how accurate this is but I've heard these emails are often worded like crap on purpose. If you don't fall for their initial email you aren't the sort of person they're targeting. They're looking for people who are easier to manipulate so by wording their initial email as poorly as possible they filter out the people who are more likely to catch on before they can get any money out of them (and thus basically waste the scammer's time). Given how prolific this sort of email scam is I'd guess it's probably a pretty successful "business" model.
