@@Sorakeyblademaster37 well i have some vampire doctors in my game that have performed c-sections in the surgery machine. But i didnt try to extract plasma but i think they can do it (except if the pacient is a vampire too)
Omg that's exactly what I thought 😂🤣 also Im not a fan of occults in the sims. But I especially don't like the vamps. I like my simple "human" sims. But that's just me.
Congratulations on finding and showcasing the only sims 4 detail that actually qualifies as disturbing. As soon as I saw the vampire in the vet scrubs I screamed NO out loud
@@Anarchy_Angel94it’s disturbing because ur supposed to trust ur vet with ur animal. A vet doing something other then doing that Is pretty disturbing especially when they are in permission of power.
Yeah and its not like it kills the animal. Its the same as donating blood at a blood bank. Or giving a blood sample to get you health checked. Personally if I had a friend/lover/child that needed blood like a vampire I would provide it for them. I would have it medically extracted rather than bitten. In case of disease.
Now imagine that you did this. Then you give the plasma pack to another vampire as a romantic gift, which starts your relationship. They eventually get married and have a very happy life.. And only you know what started all that happy life... 💀
orrrrr if you expand your vampire knowledge with books you can make plasma packs from fish you catch, its also a lot easier for a beginner vampire edit: you can research vampire knowledge on the computer too
to be honest it's not even that dark, you can't kill pets, it's just like drawing blood... granted it is visually alot of blood but in game it doesn't hurt them
That's incredibly morbid, but also interesting! I wonder if it gives the vampires different moodlets than a normal plasma pack would. Even if it doesn't, this could make for some great storytelling. Thanks for letting us know!
It's morbid when they extract animal plasma to drink but it isn't when they drink from sims against their will? We humans even eat animal meat (yea, even me, I'm not a vegetarian or something), but drinking the blood is morbid? Weird world XD
@@alexaherrmann7683 Animals can't defend themselves and are more innocent than humans. That why it would be morbid if a vampire drank from a toddler or child ass opposed to an adult. It's also done in a surgical setting which makes it creepier.
@@alexaherrmann7683he sims team knows this oddity about us (that we have a higher bar for sim pets than human or occult sims). That’s likely why pets in the sims 4 can only die of old age.
@@Fallen4theFallen2 that’s not the same as drinking the blood of other peoples innocent pets though, they brought their cat or dog here and trusted you and then behind their back, you unnecessarily stole plasma from their little kitty/dog just to drink. vampires can get the plasma they need in much more ethical ways.
I'm sorry but a vampire extracting a non-life threatening amount of plasma from a pet that can replenish it by drinking water and eating a bit of kibble sounds like the utmost ethical option that the creature has. If the alternative is drinking blood from a living person, possibly infecting them with vampirism, I'd say that vampire is vampire theresa....
Dog's blood. Like Simmers have a high tolerance for human abuse since it's part of the widely accepted gameplay, but animal abuse fits in a different category, and there's a reason normal gameplay doesn't allow for animals to die of anything but natural causes. Drinking dog's blood is morbid when you can already do it to humans and are encouraged to.
@@dorian417There's also the fact that dogs and cats have much less blood than humans, so taking the indicated amount has the possibility of being fatal (even if it isn't in gameplay).
I don't see how a virtual vampire drinking a virtual dog's blood is worse than drinking a virtual human's blood lol. It's not like the dog is dying, and it's just a silly game at the end of the day.
*sigh* Alright, I was planning to buy get together but I guess I'll buy vampire and cats and dogs next sale instead. Just to play as a vampire with an animal clinic business. but jokes aside, I think It's pretty cool. I'm thinking about how I'm gonna play with this later.
If you make your vampire sim bite a werewolf, they will do it but they complain about drinking "dog blood". So the idea that they can literally drink dog blood instead without complaint is amusing.
Cool detail! I actually downloaded a gallery house for a vampire vet not too long ago, apparently more people have realized it's the best vampire profession. 🤣 I don't get why people act horrified, the dog is fine, it's not like vampires can even kill.
The fame and reputation system from Get Famous basically does that already. One of my sims has pristine (the best possible) reputation and everyone constantly texts and calls him, and he gains relationship points so fast that I have to cheat them down or else everyone wants to be his BFF after two conversations. And he's not even famous, just a regular high school student, I guess he got the reputation from being nice to others and having good grades? Meanwhile his brother has a slightly negative reputation as he's more of a loner and doesn't get along well with others, so it's a little harder for him to build good relationships
I love how nobody is bothered by the fact that you can forcefully extract blood from *people* which is in a weird gray area between sexual assault and regular assault. But everyone's up in arms that you can perform a relatively harmless blood extraction from an animal during a veterinary examination. Like in terms of evil you would think raping people for their blood would be more evil than extracting a little blood from an animal during a vet visit which they might have even needed to do anyway to perform tests? But what do I know...
I love how people on here think this feature allows for "ethical" vampire gameplay when you are literally an animal doctor that's paid to ensure a live animal's health, and taking advantage of an animal's vulnerable and unknowing state. It would honestly be less morbid if it wasn't available to vets only. The feature to turn fish you catch into plasma is more ethical IMO, since at least the fishes are already dead. Edit: I'm not judging anyone who plays this way, I'm just commenting on how wild it is that people would actually say it isn't morbid or unethical. I guess us Simmers have high tolerance for in-game cruelty, but I had hoped this wouldn't extend into how we actually view ethics in real life.
Not that morbid, it's let's you play as an "ethical" vampire. Could be a fun charecter to play with a vampire who dosent like hurting ppl but still needs blood to survive
I felt like you just added the morbid part just to make it more dramatic or serious but it’s really not😂 should’ve just made this an interesting fact clip since it’s more useful than “disturbing” or “morbid”
And you can donate/sell your plasma depending on where you live; taking a juice pack amount out of an adult wouldn’t kill you, although you’d probably get severely dehydrated if it didn’t get replaced by an IV.
I don’t have the vampires pack, but I think it would be great if u can do this as a doctor and not just a vet. Got my my capri-cat pouch juice and a can of Fanta Caliente. 😅
i have the extreme violence mod for the sims 4 and i had to check if there were any violent actions against cats and dogs but thank God there weren't. 😂
I mean... I guess it's better than attacking people? Like, someone receiving medical treatment is already giving up some blood, why not a little extra?
Honestly , not that “disturbing” IMO, just unethical. However, with this feature being present in the game, I wish Sims in the Doctor career could do the same. I’d rather my vamp sims siphon a little extra blood from a human who understands that they’re having blood drawn for medical testing than from a cat or dog who just knows that their person shoved them in a box and took them to a strange place to get poked and prodded.
Omg this is amazing!!! Morbid why? Human blood is ok but animal blood is not? If I was a vampire I would actually prefer animal blood, we humans put so much shit in our system 😅
Tbf that’s the most ethic I’ve ever seen a vampire be when getting ‘plasma’. If more vampires were like this, doing surgery to save a life and took a little ‘plasma’ off the top, I’d call that a symbiotic relationship
That's strange. I have no problems killing human sims with my vampire, but I don't wanna do this to poor pet sim. I know all of them are just pixels, but for some reason I feel much more compassion to pet sims. Anyway, thanks for the interesting fact, I didn't know this despite playing sims 4 for years!
I had a vampire Sim vet and I had her permanently mind control an employee to always clean and she fed almost exclusively on the extracted plasma from pets/ plasma fruit lol. It was so efficient!
Ok but we need more little cross pack details like this. I love this. I mean, I don't know if I love _this_ but I love that there are surprising details to discover. Not something I'd expect from Sims 4 tbh
I honestly don't get surprised by morbid stuff in this game anymore. I learned about the cow plants, i learned about some of the ways your sims can die, i watched all of the GrayStillPlays videos on the game and i have some experience with playing the game. Even in the base game without any mods, the sims 4 can get very brutal and morbid
Oh The Sims 4 can be dark if it wants to... For example, sims drowning in a pond from Get Famous will feed the fishes if there are sharks or piranhas. Or the fact that there is not only a chalk outline in one of San Myshuno's, but one of the performances your sim can get invited to is about murders taking place there.
It's like the vegetarian vampire. They don't drink blood from human but, still consume blood of other animals. Vegetarian still eat egg and cheese/dairy product
OMGOSH This is so disturbing i have a vampire married to his normal wife and they have a bunch of pets 😬 he also is in the doctor career not too far from being a veterinarian
Whats morbid about this? They take small amout of blood in order to not feed on humans... It's literally canon in a lot of Vampires movies/shows/books. Bruh.
I’ve been curious about buying a Sims DLC, but it just feels like it cost so much. I’m not sure if it’s worth buying like the only one that I feel like it’s worth is the one that comes with the back to work in a pack
