I just tried it & it worked!!! It took about 30m to fix my problem but unfortunately when I lit the candle the next day the problem started again. Sooo I just did the hack again

Thanks! The problem when I do that is the extra melting wax builds up and drowns the wick which then extinguished before the process is complete. Any tips?

Pour out the extra wax when it's hot! Only way to fix it really.

I have some candles that always tunnel no matter what. I periodically make them flat again with this technique or put them in the oven at 200°, but then when I burn them again, they still just tunnel.

What if the candle flame just diminishes by itself? I can't do this method because my flame keeps going out

Do you have any suggestions about a tunneling candle with a very short wick? I tried to even out the wax with a wick that is half way burnt though the candle and not only made too much of a mushy mess, but also broke a part of the wick and now it is too short. Can i simply put a wick right inside of the candle while the wax is still mushy and let the candle burn through properly, or do i need to do something else?

What if the wick is really short to trim? I think I might’ve trimmed it too short which caused the tunneling

I have a candle that was tunneling and I didn’t fix it before the wick burned to the bottom. Now there’s a good amount of wax left on the sides. Best suggestions for how to save and use the remaining wax when there’s no more wick?

You can set the candle in a pot of water and bring to a simmer to melt the wax, but you'll need another vessel with a wick to pour it into. I bought a package of wicks from michael's and used an empty candle.

I continue to read such low iq comments on RU-vid day after day after day. And it truly is sad how dumb soceity has become. Like you couldn’t of came up with a simple way to scrape all the wax out and put on a small pot on very low heat on stove? People’s ability to look at a problem situation and come up with a solution for it is deteriorating so fast…

Okay but how to prevent this from happening in the first place? My wife just started making homemade soy candles and most of them burn perfectly except for a few the tunnel and go out.
