I cannot tell you how many rings I have cut off with a ring cutter after 9 years as a medic and firefighter. This is easier, safer, and doesn't destroy the ring! Incredible and simple. Thank you for sharing!
This is happening to me right now!! We went on vacation and hiked in the heat and I can’t get them off to shower! I tanked so hard to go over the knuckle that now I’m bleeding, swollen and have cuts on the side of my finger. Will this still work??
I was taught that as a student nurse 60 years, ago. Far less traumatic than using a ring cutter. We were told it was an undertakers trick of the trade.
My father's wedding band has been on his finger for over 50 years, until the day he ended up losing weight. It fell off naturally while wash his hands. The tan line made it seem he still had a ring on. Lol 🤣 Thx for the helpful tip. 💯👍💯
@@ryansmurda1552 I asked my father, "Does it stink?" Lol 🤣 Its like when people have to wear a cast on there arm for several weeks. As soon as they cut it off, the area is pretty stinky. Just imagine having a cast on for 50 years....🤢🤮🤧🥴
@@zaizoesclashing7103 He was a computer engineer for 45+ years but worked on his hot rods though. Maybe the fact he was right hand dominate might have a reason for it. 🖐
A friend of mine who is a nurse says they use this "trick" in the ER. Wish the ER where I had my broken wrist set had known about it - getting my wedding rings off my poor finger hurt worse than the break! 😩
This hack is at least 50 years old. I’ve had to remove two rings like this and it hurt like hell going over my knuckle. I have small hands (size 4 wedding ring) and fortunately the procedure took seconds and I saved both rings.
Useful video. An incident happened with my wife and I once. A neighbor came begging for us to help her with a stuck ring that was swelling her finger and turning it purple. We eventually ended up cutting it in two with small scissors. This trick leaves the ring intact, and seems superior to what we did.
So cool. My sister badly broke her wrist, both bones, and we immediately removed her rings while getting her off the floor. Good thing - her hand swelled instantly. Saving this video for future ref.
I tried all of the other hacks before this one and they didn’t work. I tried this with ribbon and they easily came off! Works great. Thank goodness because I thought I was going to have to get them cut off.
You can always use butter, or any oil product which the ring will slip over the knuckle, I do it all the time. And you can always wash your hand when done.
The problem is most people have already tried muscling the ring off their finger. This irritates the flesh of your finger from trying to force it off and your finger swells. This method with that wide lace wrapped tightly around your finger helps to push that blood out of your swollen finger. And then as it unwrap the flesh swells back up behind the ring and helps push it off.
