My doggie died today. I loved him soo much. I’m grateful for the joy & happiness he brought me.

Dog are her to teach us unconditional love and loyalty. We don't deserve dogs.

My baby girl, Lilly, just passed away on September 17th. I know in my heart she will be waiting for me. I miss her so much. She was my hiking buddy and my best friend for 13 years. Her little brother and I will take many more hikes and many more walks, all the whole remembering her. Eternal Memory my sweet dog. ☦️

Touching, I always tell this to people who say don't want another dog, rescue another one, that's our role in the chain, while we can.

I found '' rocky '' a german shepherd puppy at a boat ramp 15 yrs. ago, scared, hungry and with a crushed hind leg. I had her leg amputated and nursed her back to health. She was tremendous -- smart, loyal, fun and a great watchdog. She died 5\15\23 and I think about her almost constantly. I hope the pain at least starts to subside. This video is a help. Thanks.

This was so beautiful, i am crying. My little service dog is laying next to me as she has for 10 years. She is my hero, she saved my life so many times. She does not have long 2 days or 2 weeks. My precious amazing hero , my love for you will never fade. An angel sent you, i am forever blessed. Until we meet again. You will be with boo he was as amazing as you. Amen.

My Chihuahua died several months ago after a long illness. I was gutted. We adopted a 12 year old shitzu mix a couple months later who needed a home. We are giving him all those things as our Chi would want us to. For however long we have him.

Anyone who has never adopted a dog or cat, this message is for you.

Hi folks, I was awakened this morning by the songs of many birds that filled the sky. I was greeted in a field of beautiful wildflowers by my Great Grandmother. I am now a great white wolf, you see I no longer have the need for my earthly form. The bright sun makes my long smooth coat shine. The field is lined by great trees, and the sky is always bright with a light breeze moving small white clouds along. There are steams with clear, cool water running over flat rocks in the fields. I have met many of my family here and we have run and howled the day away, resting at times in the shade of the trees. There is more than enough to eat of the finest meats and many bones to chew on. We are all young again and we play with toys and each other like puppies. This evening we all gathered close together to rest at the foot of our Father's bed. God loves all he has created but, we are his guardians. For that short time, I spent with you, I Thank You for your love and care. I will await the day that we shall come together again in our Lord's home. Your Beloved Puppy

To Aber, my first dog. We grew up together. There were times the cancer treatment made me so tired I fell asleep with my head on you as a toddler. You were my boy. I love and miss you. To chance my second dog. I was afraid of you at first because you were more hyper than Aber. But once I got over that I had so much fun playing with you. You were also my boy. To my current dog Lucy. You getting up their in age. I dread what could come in the next years. But no matter how painful parting is I wouldn't trade my time with you. Your my baby girl. I've loved all my dogs.

I had to say goodbye to both my rescue pups over the last two years. I have not made the decision to seek another companion to love and care for because of my advancing age. I am now rethinking that position. This was a beautiful video. Thank you.

My Mom rescued Ralphie 6 years ago. He had a severe heart murmur. That was not disclosed to her at adoption. She found out by taking him to a local vet who said it was not only obvious but the worst kind. We did everything we could. Ralphie was kind, loving, stubborn. In the end his heart and lungs gave out. Neither of us would trade a moment we had with Ralphie.

I lost my big old mutt Little Bear in 2018. Around the same time a friend in Wyoming died of cancer, and the new home she had arranged for her 7-year-old Corgi Laddie didn't work out. Nobody's fault, just one of those things. I was a distant Plan B, put myself on the list because she was a good friend and anyway I didn't think it would come to anything. They drove all the way from Montana to rural Arizona to bring him to me, and he spent a good year before he really trusted me as his person: Just too many changes. But rather abruptly he changed his mind and we got to be great buddies. He loved Jeep rides and chasing free-range cattle out of the yard. At his size he was kind of in the middle of the food chain so I didn't think he'd ever get off the leash, but he learned to stay close when we went for walks. I loved that silly-looking little mutant more than I expected to. Then after our second year together he got lymph cancer and went downhill fast. In mercy I had to put him down. It was about eight months before I could face getting another dog. Two dogs in two years seemed too much. But one day I found myself in a dog shelter in the big town about 50 miles away and there was this frightened little Anatolian mix pup. I didn't really want another big dog at my age but he really needed out of that loud concrete cage. Again, it was a while before he warmed up to me but we've been together two years now and he's my BIG pup. And he's staring at me right now, telling me it's time for evening walkie. Gotta go. :)

I always get another one cause I miss my dog so much it’s the only thing that can make me smile again. I think dogs are one of Gods greatest gifts to us.

This makes me sob every time 😢... But the message is so precious, I would beg everyone who is thinking of getting a pet.. Please listen.. Then rescue, and don't buy xxxx

My beautiful rescue border collie has left two months ago. She was only seven and I miss her so much. This poem really made me cry it is beautiful. Often people ask me if I will get another dog......I wasn´t sure if it would be betrayal. But so many unloved souls are waiting in shelters....and that poem will make me feel a little better when times comes to welcome a new dog.

My 11 year old dog Bella passed today. We shared our love for the past 5 years. Loving another being is the most wonderful experience. I will be at the animal shelter soon. Adopting the pit bull that no one wants. The one who is old and has been there the longest.

I lost mt sweetest baby girl 6 months ago today and I still cry everyday. I have never been more heartbroken over anything in my entire life. Her brother Bo is right behind her and it just hurts to think he will be gone in a matter of months and I am going to be crushed all over again. 17 yo pugs and they have been my heart, my life, my children. Goodbye Mandy, my sweet baby I will never be whole or the same again. I feel like I've been riding the bus of life and had to stop to let off my babies at the next stop, as they look at me while the bus pulls away with me still on it. It's hard to breath and I can't seem to cry enough.

Our beloved Tshamato, aka "Tshami," passed on on Saturday morning, 18 February 2023..so sad to say goodbye to 12 years companion 😢 💔 it really hurts.

I know my dog Woody would have written something like this. He got hit by a car and died during the night in the vets office. I wish I could have been there to hold him as he passed away. I went to the vets office to pick him up the next day, to bring him home to bury him. Burying him had to be one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I asked the vet if he thinks I should get another dog right away. I left with a golden retriever someone left tied to his office door handle during the night.

My dog passed last year and I'm sure he Is roaming the meadows of paradise right now. Till I see you again little buddy, wait for me. This video was sad but beautiful at the same time. The words hit hard. I heard somewhere about a dog that passed the owner said something like. I opened the door and gave my dog a home and now that he's gone I hope god will open the door to his home when my dog goes scratching on it. I was thinking the same thing after hearing it. I bet little buddy when he passed was scratching on God's door to his house looking to become apart of his family where he is also a new dog and no longer suffering anymore.

I just lost my beautiful Missy I had her for seven Great years she was 12 when she went she was a rescue and she changed my life forever I can I can't figure out how to do this without her please don't ever buy a dog from a breeder please buy a rescue

We lost our Bella Diva in September and she looked so much like the dog in this video, it's as if she was speaking to us!!

Old statement, been around for decades. But it does have a great meaning. When I first read it many years ago, I no longer got a puppy, I started getting shelter dogs and even today, one is laying beside me as I write this, And they have all been the best dogs I have ever had. I highly suggest to anyone, a dog from a shelter makes the best friend a person could ever have

I've been a foster Dad with a local rescue group for 11 years and over 70 pupdogs

We learn so much from them. The whole we thought we were teaching them when all in all they were training us compassion patients unadulterated love And last but not least joy❤

This video has a very big part of my heart. Our bailey is 15 and half years old this year. We rescued her at 3 months old and she is a very big part of our lives in her older age. We can see her changing on a monthly basis. We know our time with her is nearing the end. We try to do everything we can to make every moment special. She will not be forgotten for sure. Nowadays we have a big fenced in yard and we can save more than life for sure. Thank you for An amazing video.

We had to put our cat Scurry to sleep just past midnight today on October 28th 2021. She was 16 and I’ve grown up almost my whole life with her. I feel lost, I try to convince myself she’s passed but I refuse to believe it. I miss her so much already.

I lost a dear friend yesterday to time and sickly infection of the ears and skin , a beautiful , beloved dog she will be a puppy to me forever . I've never had something I loved so much , die in my arms . I fill like a I betrayed my best friend , I'm so sorry, I truly loved that dog . I beleave a old homeless dog or pup would be more than welcome by beloved Jazzy to come into that was her home , to restore the love and friendship and protection she gave so well , all she short life . Thank you Jesus for the time we had , and the strength to carry on with love for all animals . Good bye old friend , death is less scary known you are still waiting for me to come home , with my lord Jesus and all the loved ones that have gone before me . I can't hide the sadness I fill right now , but I will smile whenever I think about the love you gave me , you made me a better person , and I truly know that it is to be loved , I believe God made dogs for that reason, they are the greatest teacher's of love and friendship .

My dog passed away today 1/26/22 and one in September 26th 2021

Almost 5 years ago...I adopted a 7 year old Border Collie...something happened in her life that brought her and her male companion to the shelter, I could not take them both, He was a larger breed and I already had 2 girls...one a Lab/BC mix from the same shelter, the other a Border Collie from a breeder...The Older Girls were OK with the Girl, so we brought her home, dor a ling time, she was the youngest...And now Our Rescue, She is going to be 12, the Oldest now, as My Lab/BC passed at 14 in April 2020, and the BC passed in January 2022, and we now have a 3yo and 2yo Border Collie sisters...From a Breeder...But when the Rescue is gone...we'll get another... *This video REALLY hit home with me*

I have always adopted another one or two dogs from my shelter in honor of my babies that have passed i love you and miss you wolf and tinkerbell and pup and momo and petey

I will always get street dogs or the dogs that nobody wants. I miss all my dogs. Some I was too stupid to know what I had when I had them. They all loved me.

So beautiful that's what I tell people.i always got another one right away for this reason.

I really don't think my dog wants anybody else to have her stuff. She was always really jealous and growled at the other dogs if they came near me.

July 4th 12 years ago the vet called me and said Stormy had ckd. She died the following Mar. 30 , 2013. Sasha, two years ypunger died April 30, 2015. Both where Shetland Sheepdogs. A pastor once at a Bible class on Revelation talked of animals in Heaven, then said "I will go a step futher-you will see your pets in Heaven" The doggie with me in my pic is Watson. I adopted him 4 days after Sasha died.
