Beautiful music by one of the Grand Masters Liszt My Father told me when I was a boy Flowers wither Beautiful women get old but Great Music never dies. I’m 60 now and came across this video and the soundtrack reminded me of his comments some 50 years ago. These old wonderful movies remind me of him and he too is bought back to life along with my dormant past 😊

Charlie Chaplin was so talented and definitely one of the best actors and directors of silent comedy. Even the most funny of them they always had a dramatic elements plus he touched the lives of the people the society and and don't care for. People trying by any means to survive in difficult situations. His films also had always a story to share and they were clever in comparison of the big portion of the films back then before cinema being more professional and I mean that in the way of organized productions and the big companies formed on cinema, because people like Chaplin were undeniable professionals of their time. That movie is very good and well made. 😊

1977 foi o pior ano de todos os tempos, perdi grandes ídolos, Elvis o qual sou fã ha 7 anos, e o grande Chaplin. É incrível como eles tinham uma ligação, a primeira apresentação de Elvis na escola foi em 1947, onde ele cantou a música inspirada nesse filme “A Dogs Life”. Elvis ganhou o concurso da escola, mal sabia ele que se tornaria o maior da música de todos os tempos anos mais tarde. Elvis vive… Chaplin vive…

The Mrs. says: No, I will never ever tire of these precious treasures of cinema that were filmed right where I grew up, Los Angeles, there just as comical and tragic at the same time, Mr. Chaplin lived a poor life I believe in England before he ever thought of coming here to America and years age there was no leash law and my God there were dogs running everywhere until people complained so damn loud and were actually shooting dogs in the streets that something had to be done and they started up these so called dog-pounds and they were horrible places down around the railroad areas and kept up if you want to call it that by some people who fed those poor dogs garbage from the local Restaurants around town and escaped all the time it was awful.

I like old movies, it's great.

I'm reading his autobiography, which is a fascinating book. Disappointed with the loss of music (had it on fullscreen so didn't notice the additional link) but didn't entirely spoil the movie, had me laughing still, I had to keep it down as best as I could, not to disturb the neighbours as it was the early hours of the morning. Will watch again, thanks for uploading.

Como todas las películas de Charlie Chaplin una obra que ha trascendido en el tiempo, con una Picardía suave y Casi inocente de un humor sano y sin ofensas hacia los demás ,un Maestro que a través del tiempo y creo sin equivocarme por muchas más generaciones hará reír a millones en el mundo con su humor , como me hizo feliz al verlo cuando era chico y en la actualidad ahora que tengo un poco más de 60 años sigo deleitándome con sus aventuras, que maravilla el poder ver estas películas en estos tiempos de crisis por culpa de la pandemia donde tenemos que pasar casi siempre encerrados en cuarentena , gracias por haber subido estás obras maestras, que nos transporta a otro tiempo y nos saca un poco del estrés muchas gracias y saludos . チャーリーのズボンの穴からはみ出した犬の尻尾が太鼓を連打する場面が好きです👌 でもあのワンちゃんは、余りにもチャップリンに懐いていた為に、チャップリンと離れてしまった後に落ち込んで亡くなってしまったらしいですね😢

Charlie brings the slums to the screen, along with the old Keystone trick of crying bucket-loads. This is Chaplin's 'blond' period -- wonder what happened to that dark-haired, dusky girl he once played leading man to? Love the music.
