Its a mustard seed 1940s for luck that's what I remember my aunt telling me! Soldiers used to give them to they're girls it had a bowtie pin on top and that would dangle!
Hi Katherine! So many wonderful pieces, whether or not they're intact. I love the Archer Cameo you showed near the beginning of the video. I'm a Sagittarius and have never seen anything like it.
Katherine, are you familiar with 'Attic to Basement'? It is a wonderful little thrift-type store in Bloomington, MN. They sell individual rhinestones of varying shapes and sizes for very reasonable prices (under a dollar). They are just off 35W at 90th.
I love your dress!! The colors and pattern are gorgeous! I have so many vintage magazines I want to part out and use for art projects or framing, but I do not have the heart to do it, thus those magazines are all somewhere hidden away in a box. Maybe it's time to find them and bring them to the next flea market.... Sadly, dealers make more money if they sell those by pages instead of as a whole. I would totally use the remaining illustrations in that book for a project, make a new piece of art out of it.
Hi Katherine. Love Captain Jack Sparrow. So sweet. What a beautiful cat. What amazing stuff. I always loved the Heidi movie with Shirley Temple. Always loved Shirley Temple movies. Some wonderful books in this lot. So sad that Lady book was torn apart. What a shame. Still has some lovely pictures in the book. Luckily. The company let their card in the books like they were proud. I like the eiffel tower pin with the flowers. I really like the little doll behind you one the shelf with the yellow coat and hat. So sweet. And i still love the chicken cookie jar on another shelf. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
Miss Pam was talking about the lingerie brooches tonight. She said they were used to hold bra and slip straps up as they were usually silky and fell down regularly. It was a no no to show undergarments. ❤
@@KatherineYoung yes. Then we had to wear belts or girdles to hold up our nylons and for the period pads. Luckily they invented panty hose and sticky stuff for the pads. 🤢🤣
