I was in Okinawa at the same time as you were, in Jan! Was also trying to catch some mahi-mahi, but only landed a small blue fin trevally! Absolutely amazing fishing!

Thats so funny your throwing these lures. Its a Gancraft 110, Deps 250 and i couldnt tell one of em. But here in America we use thise same lures for Large Mouth Bass. Eeeeeew! Get some!

Great catch pal! We have the same fish here in Greece. Its English name is "Mahi-Mahi" but in Greek is "kinigos" which means "hunter". And it jumps all over trying to avoid the catch! Incredible fish!

we caught about 20 of them when i was onboard a ship. if you caught onw from a school. don't pull the first one cause the other mahi won't leave so you can still fish as many as you want

I have really enjoyed watching your vids. I fished the Texas (USA) Gulf Coast for many and offshore for a few. I couldn’t help but notice your casting. When casting for distance or if a school is just a bit out of range try looking up at 45 degrees and starting the cast with your hips, like driving a golf ball, swinging a baseball or cricket bat. You can hit it with your shoulders and arms but really power it using your whole body. Will add 25%+ to your distance. Many of the guys in the US are using on spinning that you attach to your rod just the reel seat that replaces your finger when casting. No more gloves unless you just want to wear them. Good luck and be safe.

Soo Good! My favorite...got one on a boat 2nd Ever.... was a 30lb Blue Bull on a swim bait while at 9knots. 20lb and a conventional Penn Squider and a stick I won't fish over 20lb on....All blue when it came over the Deck... With a couple big jumps and it's Harem of females like U just Got we ended up with 4 Nice Dodos for our day. Soo Good Frothing for a good catch 🙌💥🤙

back in '06 i caught a 32 1/2 lb bull mahi on a 13inch marlin lure that was just idle because the outrigger fell and as i was placing the out rigger back up it hit. this was in belize during the san pedro first annual tourny 20 mins before weigh in too. we made it in time. we also caught a white square grouper for all yall that know what that is.
