I have to say how much I appreciate you guys making this video in English. I think us brits sometimes take for granted how much more concentration is needed when setting up stuff like this in your second language. I also love how Gunter turned up after the heavy lifting was done. A man after my own heart. 😏
As a 80s teen, I grew up in the time of the Walkman and Discman. I remember how CDs were sold as the ultimate experience of clear sound (even when not full sound range), no scratches or surface noise. I'm not going to lie, I value a good sounding system, but I also value the ease of modern streaming and wireless choices. That said, music needs to be enjoyable regardless of how is being played. High-end system or transistor radio, if you are enjoying music and the experience of listening to it, you are doing it right. This said, Michael does it right. I always learn and get inspired for your passion for audio and music. Cheers from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Congratulations Michael and thank you so much for allowing us to join you in this incredibly exciting adventure. Your entire system is absolutely gorgeous and I truly enjoy all your audiophile reviews and videos. I have to ask though… if not too personal….how much does one need to spend to buy a system like yours? Suddenly my “high end” audio equipment seems…..lame. ;)
I remember when I bought my Goldnote Bellagio Reference Turntable with a Tri Planer Arm & Benz LPS cartridge, when it was being set up I was so nervous but excited, it took about 3 hours and sounds great
That's a beautiful table, and an incredible system overall. In truth, it is the kind of system that most never have the chance to hear, some are lucky enough to hear a handful of times, and the very fortunate few have the chance to own. Enjoy it!
Beautiful rig Michael!! Your entire setup is a model for audiophile excellence! Thanks for allowing us to see your setup, makes your channel that much better!
Ok I hope enough Analog Studio recording stay in existence & Vinyl that will extend tour investment!!! It is very Beautiful!!! The video of someone in New Jersey that built the million dollars system
Recommend using thin clear film for any shiny or chrome Use a CO2 mini cartridge and fitted to a mini appropriate nipple. Will you use both arms - stereo and mono? Nice unit.
Absolutely gorgeous table Micheal, congratulations and many happy hours of enjoyable listening. I remember how much I fell in love with my Gold Note Mediterraneao table when I first got it and setting it up....cheers....✌️
3:13 I like the alignment feature for the heavy platter installation. I have a similar design on my TT, also the graphite mat. I wonder if you could ask the designer why he settled on graphite, if he tried just placing the record on the aluminum platter, and if he makes the mats. I purchased a couple of graphite mats many years ago from a company called "Boston Audio" I believe he sold the company a few years ago. Anyway, hope you continue to enjoy the new TT!
Wow amazing set up Michael Heavy work & intricate details for sure. Volker is a genius,a master craftsman.this turn table his crowning glory years in the making A Cool video Michael. All that remains is to enjoy the music ✊👍
What a beautiful piece of machinery Michael, the amount of engineering and craftsmanship that went into your TT is mind boggling. It has the simple beauty that reminds me of a Porsche 356, but with the performance of a 911 GT3! I can't imagine how incredible it's going to sound, I'm looking forward to your sound reviews.
Hi Michael, Can you possibly tell us what Otoscope was being used (i.e. manufacturer, model, magnification etc.) by Einstein Audio to check your stylus was correctly positioned in the record groove ?
Congratulation to this really expensive turntable, however I have a handful of doubts that this turntable will sounds three times better than my LP 12 Klimax for a third of the price. Don't take it personally. Regards Chris
The attention to detail of the engineering is just mind boggling, the ways to adjust the feet and tone arm, the consideration that’s gone into all that is genius. Just seeing the mirror exactness of the sub platter made me feel gooey inside.
A wonderful pleasure of this "Aerolith turntable". A vivid emotion accompanied by a sense of accomplishment. Einstein who completely fulfills wishes and needs in space in time. :-) What luck 😃 that presents an ideal. Michael and Volker = 👌 ❤Heike
Wow Michael, that is a stunner. Congratulations man! I have a question though, it was mentioned that the cartridge takes 50-100 hours or so to run in/wear in. In that time is there any risk to the record? Is there any chance it could slightly damage a record? In that run in time do you only play cheap records which you do not worry about so much?
RU-vid has its limitations and the recording device is a phone, camera or high end recording equipment. A lot of hifi sounds sterile and wooden albeit very detailed. The Einstein equipment has life, musicality and drive.
I was asking myself: what reason would Volker have to wear his Pepsi Rolex the wrong way 🧐 …maybe that the viewers are able to better read the time : 1:20 pm I think I saw …😂. Ansonsten: wahnsinniger Aufwand um eine Platte zu drehen. Hoffentlich lohnt sich der Aufwand auch in klanglich relevanter Weise gegenüber dem Vorgänger Einstein Plattenspieler. Crossing fingers … But you, Michael, said something absolutely right to Volker: that it’s NOT either placing the speakers correctly OR using good cables! You do both to get THE BEST results! Makes me a bit „sad“ to hear such nonsense from Volker already the second time. He should know about the importance of good cables to achieve the best results. EVERYTHING counts in a HighEnd Audio chain and carefully selected cables can make a BIG difference in reaching audiophile „heaven“. Cheers. Michael
It’s a great looking piece of equipment, no I mean art… All the best and happy listening. I guess our journey is always evolving. Just one thing… I hope you don’t have to move your new turntable any time soon.😂😂😂
Setting up your turntable, Michael, is truly an art and a testament to the intricacies of high-end equipment. Many overlook the precision needed, but you've nailed it. Kudos!
Congratulations. Following your dreams and accomplishing them is very important in life. I'm very happy for you. By the way, the turntable looks stunning
How exciting! Any great turntable is about precision engineering and not hype: As precise as the lathe that cut the records or better. It really has never been mentioned but do you only do analog with this system? I get the shower thing....setting up something so precise (Also heavy!) and in a mentally focused fashion can be taxing. It is also good to see the place you call home. Where you are comfortable. Thanks for sharing this extraordinary experience with all of us out there.
I understand why high end turntable has to machine the spindle and bearing shaft as one piece where the bearing noise can transmit all the way to the record touching the spindle. I understand in budget turntable for easy centering but with expensive turntables they can certainly decouple the spindle from the bearing shaft.
Well, great video. But what I really missed is a demo of you using at, putting on a record at start playing and using it, so we can se it in operation and hear how it sounds.
Stunningly beautiful 🤩 I’m also in the process of upgrading my Acoustic Signature Merlin table to the new Acoustic Signature Tornado with 2 tonearms, one with a stereo cartridge and the second one with a mono cartridge. So I can play all the mono records that I’ve been buying lately from your website 👍 Regards from Sweden
It would be great to hear your thoughts on this table now that you’ve had it for a good few months. Hopefully an updated video won’t be too long away? 👍
Gorgeous piece of engineering! Really beautiful, congrats! I,m really glad. that you got an extra mono arm, I remember that I suggested to you to do so when you started the channel! Enjoy!
This is very interesting thanks for sharing your new purchase. I hope it gives many years of listening pleasure. I look forward to your thoughts and opinions after some time spent with it.
Truly a thing of beauty - I’m sure the sound will be equally as impressive when you have everything fine-tuned. Amazing engineering - that platter almost looks as if it were a Concorde spare 😊. We all look forward to on-going updates. Enjoy Michael.
Michael that isn't a turntable, it's a work of art!!! Michael what cartridge is on that table. That table looks like it weighs almost 80-100 pounds. I just picked up a new cartridge, the Hana ML and already thinking about a Hana Umani Red. I'm also looking at another table by Kuzma. The discovery makes this hobby is so much fun!!!
