For a physical Atlantis I've always felt santorini/crete were the nearest matches to Plato's legend. I don't understand why in versions it states Thoth was an atlantean, this doesn't seem to make sense in terms of the atlantis legend, could be a more modern addition or a title for something we are unaware of perhaps
Thank you for your interesting insights. I understand from you that the Hermetic tradition of the West is somewhat akin to the Tantra in the East, in that all aspects of life must be embraced and that the ego is more a functional tool in our life rather than something to be destroyed at all costs
Interesting thoughts. After watching many of your videos I've observed you seem to be constantly pushing the agenda that spiritual growth should make one more functional in the world, a very pragmatic focus on life. I think that is just one of many perspectives that one can choose to buy into or ignore, just another aspect of the duality of our existence.

I feel its very key, you're right that the spiritual path is an end unto itself, but I've found its fully possible to be well accomplished at meditation or a spiritual path yet be stuck in a rut in all else in life. Finding the middle way seems to be the best approach.

To me this seems to show the different approaches to enlightenment in Eastern and Western traditions. Eastern enlightenment focuses on nonparticipation in less perfect levels of existence; I'm not totally sure because I am more familiar with Western tradition. In the West, practitioners seek to elevate the less perfect levels of existence by changing themselves and the world around them through reason.
i like this thinking, it reminds me of the philosopher stone in alchemy, most people only think of the methods and the gold they can get, but that's nothing compared to the inner transformation the alchemist is feeling and having. as Franz Bardon used to say every act can be sacred, if done with the right attitude and thinking can bring us to gain control over our elements.
I learned a love of all things Atlantean from my teachers in the OTA. I reserve judgment on physical Atlantis, but metaphorical Atlantis is a perennial inspiration.
