Former Ferrari F1 driver Eddie Irvine talks about his one and only nice memory of Bernie Ecclestone, explains why he believes the Great Train Robbery story could be true and reveals other areas John Malone has invested a lot of money in.
Question; how did you meet Eddie and convinced him to skype once in a while? I like the atmosphere of these conversations (as it involved beer), and the stories Eddie can tell. Was this recorded in the morning though? haha Thanks for sharing and cheers.
Hi! Actually we just asked and Eddie agreed to do this thing. And yes, we mostly record in the morning. Which is not always easy when you have to drink and then continue working. No faking there! :-)
Yeah good stuff - found myself mildly at odds with the slightly daft (sorry !!) sounding giggling at the end - but that's just me being overly critical - for no good reason, really, lol. Wasn't this interview but liked how you put Eddie right about Tambourello (prob spelt wrong ??) being at Imola & not Monza - but to be fair Eddie got it mixed with Parabolica (yes I know, guesstimate, lol) Whenever I think of that famous bend I always think of Jochen Rindt - always. Anyway thanx so much for uploading these interesting vids - liking em lots. Peace !! Rx
More of these please. Awesome stuff!! Eddie went out with a girl I know when he was driving for Ferrari. But he used to drive a fiat punto around dublin as his Ferrari kept breaking down. True playboy:)
