Any cheap places to stay overnight if camping isn't aloud ? I'm aiming to walk so far from Scarborough and use transpo over a period of days to get there camping along the way certainly a place I want too see
I cycled over just before the tide came in, didn't to into the village. Found a very quiet spot after dark to put a tent go n, try the sands on the left as you head onto the island.
If you've not been in - take a look inside the causeway refuge hut. There's a list of useful telephone numbers - the first one is for car hire and the second for the coastguard lol.
Why do you drive and not walk. I was there, and island is more suitable for walking. It even seems to me to be rude to drive a noisy car in this inspiring environment.
