Hi Guy this video shows a view of the most popular buildings in port of spain Trinidad. Email: tmcsween22@gmail.com Instagram: Timz_ Facebook: Timz Mode
Actually, seeing this brought tears to my eyes, I am A Trini born and bred, however, at 20 years I married my American husband and move to America. I miss my country and my people, ,My life in America is wonderful, but my memories of Trinidad is wonderful, I remember the river lime, cooking curry duck down the islands. Going to the beach on weekends. Christmas time being so festive, having the nieghbours coming to our house on Christmas eve playing parang music drinking rum and eating salted ham, that was boiled outside in a pitch oil tin. I really love and cherish those memories.
Hi Veronica thank you for watching . Your comment really touched me because it's people like you that gives me the inspiration to create videos like these in the first place. Peace love and blessing to you ❤
@@tmcsween22 You do an excellent job of showing our beautiful and beloved Country, I look forward to seeing all your videos. I found your channel a few days ago, and it's great, thanks for posting.
Hi! I’m 13 from Tennessee, USA but my grandfather was born in Trinidad 🇹🇹so my love for this beautiful nation has always been evident. My father (who is first generation American from my grandfather) promised he will take me. Watching these videos about Trinidad and Port of Spain make me so proud to be a Trini. Much love from Memphis TN 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I am a South African and I have been reading books about Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 for many years since my high school days back in the early 90s; I read about Dr Eric Williams; the "founder of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago", I read about Adrian Cola Rinzie, I read about George Chambers, I read about Arthur N Robinson, I read about a small mutiny of Islamic militants let by a man called Abu Bakr (his original name is Lennox Phillip) that attempted to overthrow the government of Mr Robinson, I read about early African slaves and Indian indentured labourers. I must say, the story of Trinidad and Tobago has always been fascinating to me. I remember when I heard of the passing of Mr Patrick Manning; the then Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, I got so devastated because I have always been following T&T politics and I grew to like Mr Manning's political style just by reading books and reading articles on the internet about his government. I had vivid dreams of Traveling to the islands and becoming a citizen. The one epic moment was when Kamla Persad Bissessar and T&T government delegation visited South Africa 🇿🇦 in 2013 to attend the funeral of our former president Nelson Mandela. I was so elated to see the delegation from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 that I wished I could talk to them. That's a snipet of my interest in T&T. I have never been there but I strongly believe one day I will visit Trinidad and Tobago, one of my favourite countries in the world.
Hi Ernest thank you for taking the time to read and educate yourself about the rich and vibrant history of Trinidad and Tobago. I think you are an awesome human being for that! It will be such a delight to have you visit our beautiful country and I hope one day that dream becomes a reality for you. Just so that you know I am will to extend my hospitality to you whenever the time becomes available. Best regards, Timz 🇹🇹
@@tmcsween22 Thank you so much Timz 🙏🌹, you're an awesome lady too. Take my word for it, when the time comes for me to visit Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, you'll be the first to know. I can't wait to talk further with you. Thanks Timz, keep well and stay blessed!
@@georgelee1428 Hi George 👋, nice to see that you're trying some South African language. It beautiful indeed! The greeting is in Zulu language and it's actually Sanibonani which means Hello. In Sotho-Tswana language is Dumelang, in Xhosa language is Molweni. Keep well, stay safe and stay blessed!👍
@@ernestmalonkane8668 Hi Ernest Blessings, Thanks for the correction. Is Ndebele saying the same or slightly different? I was in Zimbabwe a few years ago in Bulawao. I visited Botswana Francis town. I know a few words in the Shona language. One day I will visit SA. Going to DRC next year, Tanzania this year. Mission work. God Bless. Be safe.
Haven’t been to T&T in a long time. Thanks for sharing this . And ignore the two old grumpy old farts criticizing the video. Bet they viewing this on a flip phone .

Why is Jamaica always on you trini minds?🤣🤣 Trinidad and Tobago will never look like Jamaica even in its poorest form give Jamaica a few more years and we will turn the Caribbean into the pearl of the Americas we all r Caribbean people we must stop competing against each other and build up all our Caribbean islands you and I know that Jamaica brings respect to this region so when you talk about Jamaica show some respect...I love all the islands so let us move with one voice
@@alphansoworth9775 Im just admiring the skyline of that country i have been to Jamaica ir dosen't look that modern. I know you don't like hearing it but Facts don't have feelings playboy.
@@kassankamble9794 I'm sure there's places in Trinidad that looks like down town Kingston but u don't hear jamaicans criticizing Trinidad..out of all the Caribbean islands you just jump right at Jamaica..Jamaica wasn't even apart of the conversation but my brother look I promise you this Jamaica is going to take the Caribbean to the world you guys know us jamaicans when we fixated on something we get the jab done..keep watching!!
@@alphansoworth9775 Aye i live in Brooklyn i constantly hear jamaicans go in hard on Trinidad and other islands my G!! But never the other way I'm fascinated by that. Anyway i been to Jamaica i loved it but was shocked when i saw a Caribbean country with sky scrapers i made a comment it offended you. I don't know why.

trinidad not so big that a train could do what a car/public transport cant. Also, not only would it put thousands out of a job but, like the reason we got rid of them in the first place, our government would never be able to afford maintenance. i agree with everything else thou, crime needs to be checked and we are in need of major infrastructural development nationwide
@@paulfrancis253 I mentioned nothing about car population, just the fact that cars/public transit are just as efficient as a metro in a country that is urbanized to the extent of ours. Yes, singapore is smaller but they also have a population 5.4 times greater than of ours. Implementing a train system was more out of necessity for averting a car population crisis.
We are in the age of decolonization. What a horrible name to carry "Port of Spain" big and bold smh. When its the beautiful Port of Trinidad tu di bone. Loose that name ppl
Regardless of what you think of colonization it is a part of what makes us who we are and it has shaped the culture that we love. Just because that part of history isn't how you would have wanted it doesn't mean you go and erase it. While we're on the topic of changing names let's forget about speaking English because that's the colonizers language. Let's make up our own language but the funny thing is you are not going to go out of your way to do that. So stop being fake woke.
Whilst i appreciate her efforts it fell embarrassingly short of real input and detail, she highlighted the Trinity Cathedral without reference to the fact its the Anglican Cathedral but there is also the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Independence Squre, she Never ever HIGHLIGHTED THE RED HOUSE ,THE PARLIAMENT AND ITS VERY VERY HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE AS THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT AND OUR DEMOCRACY IN THIS COUNTRY,WAT ABT THE OLD FIRE STATION DIRECTLY OPPOSITE ON THE EASTERN END AND ITS HISTORIC SIGNIFICANCE, OR THE NATIONAL LIBRARY ON PEMBROKE OR THE HALL OF JUSTICE,OR THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OR MEMORIAL PARK.OR THE LIGHTHOUSE OR POINTING OUT THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN BY NAME STARTING WITH QRC OH AND BY THE WAY THE CORRECT SPELLING IS STOLLMEYER AND ITS NOW KNOWN AS KILLNARY CASTLE OR HOUSE IF U PREFER( MAY HV MISPELT) BUT THE POINT IS IF ONE IS UNDERTAKING SUCH AN EXERCISE ESPECIALLY FOR AN INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCE THEN U HAD BETTER DAM WELL KNOW OF WHAT U SPEAK AND THE FACTUAL BASIS UPON WHICH YOU PRESENT YOUR SO CALLED TOUR, NEXT TIME PLEASE TAKE ALONG A REAL OR AUTHENTIC TOUR GUIDE
Hi Jeffrey you are taking too much time out of your precious day to focus on something that has no long-term contribution to life. My video was designed as stated in the caption as a DRIVE AROUND THE CAPITAL CITY. No where did it state that this was an actual TOUR of the city. If you were looking for a tour of the capital city I would suggest you LOOK ELSEWHERE or DON'T WATCH because this video will not be sufficient. In my videos pertaining to tours I usually would give sufficient information as my history have shown. This is the last ill speak on this . TIMZ MODE.
Calvin Henry Thank you for your keen Observation its the exact point i.tried to make at which she acted all thinned skinned and took offence. The point is if you Are DOING THIS FOR AN INTERNATIONAL VIEWERSHIP AS SHE CLEARLY SAID AT THE OUTSET, then surely you must hv some very basic information about the topic you are commenting on, in marketing IT IS CALLED PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND BY THE WAY CHARLOTTE ST, FAMOUS???😅😅😅🤔🤔🤔🤔FOR WAT MAY I ASK, IF SHE HAD A CLUE, SHE WUD HV COMMENTED ON WOODFORD SQUARE AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE AND CONTRIBUTION TO THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE IN THIS COUNTRY MORESO AFTER THD FATHER OF OUR NATION DR.ERIC WILLIAMS RENAMED IT THE UNIVERSITY OF WOODFORD SQUARE OR DOES SHE EVEN KNOW INDEPENDENCE SQUARE WAS KNOWN PRIOR AS MARINE SQ OR CHACON ST WAS NAMED AFTER THE SPANISH GOVERNOR DON JOSE MARIA CHACON, MAYBE SHE WUD DO WELL TO GO RESEARCH HER TOPIC B4 GOING OUT ON WAT APPEARED TO BE SM SELF PROMOTIONAL JOY RIDE
I want my homeland that raped us on and still do to at least have a road like theirs cctv police and army, politicians that aren’t corrupt inside out and much much more time to wake up economic development in the Caribbean islands
Went there twice for work and I honestly did not like the food at all me being (hispanic) the garbanzo thing in the pita like wrap called "doubles" was horrible. The best part of my eating experience happened at STICKY BONES.
