I bet this couple has had to adapt to furniture and houses their whole lives, so it’s great that they have a home that is designed with their needs in mind. This is my favorite of all of the ones I have seen so far.

I love watching home makeovers, but the way that Jeremiah got really emotional here just goes to show how much heart they put into changing these families’ lives. A functional home isn’t just for looks, but it is all about living easier and comfortably. To everyone out there who dedicate themselves to helping people live better lives, thank you.

They had to live in a world where nothing is at their height even in their own home and now they get one that's beautiful and totally accessible. When she said how did you not make this look like a hospital I realized how their world must have either been out of reach or looked like a hospital until now.

I so love how the wife didn't start screaming, but just slowly and carefully took in the changes. I so hope she's happy with everything -- seemed like it!

This is the reason why I first went into interior design, to design a beautiful space for people with special needs. Like she said "Wow, this bathroom doesn't look like a hospital." That's the way things were being designed 30 years ago and I knew they deserved better. Bravo Nate and Jeremiah.

Great job adjusting for accessibility but I would have liked to have seen the sons room as well.

What a beautiful couple. They look so much in love. First thing when they went to their house one shook hands and walked on by and the other shook hands and just leaned down for a proper man hug. I loved that, that means so much when a person goes to your height to greet you. Thank you SO MUCH for that. Wowza the hand painted walls, I don't think I'd leave the bedroom. I love how the living room furniture is fitting all heights. Best wishes and good health to this family.

I literaly was wheeping from moment they've opened the door, Jer had also tears in his eyes..I love them both and what they are doing, but seeing people how big impact work of Jer & Nate have on them is just incredible. How appreciated was everything of their work.. and on the other hand, Mark & Heather got really funcional and beautiful home, they can enjoy. Well done. When I am sad.. I just watch videos like this and I am back on track because of wonderful good vibes from it .. it's poor joy.

Very nice accommodation to the people living there, and the bedroom and bath were pretty nice. But, like most US designers, Nate has a fear of color, which makes a home so much more vibrant and happy if used correctly. Maybe this is older, as it seems things are starting to change and some color is becoming more acceptable.

i hope you guys can do it over here in the Philippines so I can start saving money for renovation.

I love the focus on usability and function of the space. So many of these shows focus only on what's pretty on camera, but in reality it wouldn't hold up. Only criticism... Some of the budget decisions were crap. A $1,000 marble slab on the wall for decoration? Please. Nice couple though, and I never actually considered until now how many parts of the home are designed with an assumed level of ability, and assumed height.
