ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on RU-vid and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

Thank you for sharing lambing 2024 with us the ups and the downs. I once helped to catch a sheep that needed help given birth. It was one of the most emotional things I've ever done literally watching the farmer breathing life back into the lamb. The utter strength of mind you have to keep going through rain and tiredness is incredible. Thank you for growing our dinner xxx

Thank you for these daily vlogs. It truly has been the highlight of my day watching the Lambing Day videos. It's been a pleasure to be a part of this time seeing you, your family, and helpers bring these little lammies into the world and helping them in their first few days (where need be). Seeing the toll it has taken on you mentally and physically, has at times been sad, but I hope you have the right resources to lean on. It truly has been eye-opening seeing what sheep farmers go through, out there in all conditions, ensuring we get food on our plates. This is my favourite RU-vid channel, and I am looking forward to seeing future vlogs. I am the same age as you Cammy, and I am envious of you being out there in that beautiful Ayrshire countryside, doing something you love, and seeing that passion for sheep farming becoming more etched into your face over the years.

Hiya Cammy we just started lambing here in Scotland and it’s going not to bad so far🤞🏻 we have had a few deaths but other than that it has been great, we have had huners of stealer sheep and they’re SO annoying . BTW love yir videos also I just got my Sheep Game jacket🙂

Why roll sheep so often on their back? They die if they don't get help. I love how you work with your family and the sheep and lammies. Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is amazing and the views where the sheep live are awesome. I hoop to visit Scotland soon again. But I am also gifted with a very nice countryside in north Sweden.

Just wondering if you've ever tried rubbing on the adoptee ewe's milk on the lamb, in the past we've had quite good success with it. You'd expect a lamb to smell of it's mother's milk.
