I'm so sad to see you go, yet so happy you are taking time for yourself. I remember fangirling over you replying to one of my comments from a year ago, on a years old video, about boob and bra sizes, I doubt you remember but to me that was a huge moment, and made me get back into a project I had fallen out of love with. Thanks for doing that whilst you were struggling so much

Hey Annika, you were the person who got me into sewing as a young teenager, educated me on fast and slow fashion and the industry's role in the climate & ecological crisis, and basically you've been a hugely important part of shaping me into the person I am today. Whatever the future holds for you, I hope it's every bit as bright and powerful as you are. Thank you for all the good times, you rock, and keep being true to you ✨

I haven't watched in years and on a whim checked to see if you were still creating videos. I'm glad you've taken care of yourself and learned more about yourself! As a young teenager you inspired me to take my fashion into my own hands. I learned to sew from your videos and absolutely adored make thrift buy! Years later I'm still thrifting and making my own clothes to the point of planning on opening a stall at a store next summer! I guess I just wanna say thank you and I hope you are still doing well 💖

Honestly this was what I was hoping to hear; that you've decided to prioritize your health and wellbeing and find what you love. I'm in a similar state and I sympathize with how trying it can be. I hope you continue to do what is best for you! Your videos did inspire me a lot and taught me some great skills as a seamster and gave me some fun ideas of things to make. You also inspired me to never buy clothes again! (Unless, of course, it's really tricky stuff and have to buy it if I REALLY REALLY REALLY want it.) In fact I only bought a pair of jeans and one manga hoodie this year, and made everything else new I wear this year. Hope you continue to do well and be happy!

I have been sewing since i was 4 years old. Your videos really helped me to learn through the years and motivated me to keep going. I was excited every time you uploaded a video! I really enjoyed your wedding dress videos and i decided that one day I'm going to sew my wedding dress myself too. I'm 17 years old now and chronically ill too. You inspired me more than just through your sewing. I still remember your video about your chronic illness and how you said that everybody has a different "normal". Every time i take my meds in the morning i think about that. You are amazing and an inspiration. I will miss your content and your tutorials but I'm glad you made that decision for you and your health. There are a lot of people that really care about you, never forget that. I wish you the best!

You inspired me to look closer at my wardrobe, to stop buying fast fashion and to actually appreciate clothing. And I will always be grateful to you. I hope you`ll keep your videos up as i still reference them a bunch to this day. I've been watching you ever since I was a teenager and you have kind of become a part of my life (in a great way!), besides inspiring me to start sewing, it was a nice company when I lived in an abusive household, giving me ways to explore my creative self :) I'm so glad to hear news about you, and I also love that you're prioritizing your physical and mental health, even if that means not seeing content again! As a disabled queer person, it can be so hard to function normally and it's lovely to be reminded to revaluate life and how can I make it easier for my health, I don't have to struggle all the time and it's ok to stop doing something if that means being more comfortable, or healthier. I'd like thank you for everything!! ❤️😊🌼 Sorry for the long text :)

You inspired me to sew so much. I still haven't had the time to really try to do anything like you've done, but I know it was because of having watched all your videos, I knew how to make a lined bag and was able to make one without a pattern. It’s amazing how distance from the expectations of others can help you find who you are. I didn’t realize I was trans until I was 27 because that’s when I’d finally had a few years of space from my parents’ expectations of me. I’ve since cut them out of my life (after 3 years of abuse based on my gender identity) and I have never been better. So I understand completely why leaving RU-vid is so beneficial to you! Best wishes to you in your beautiful queer future!

Hi Annika! I was diagnosed with hypermobile-type EDS within the last two months. I had to take a year away from uni from July last year from health complications from it. I basically sublux my sacroilliac joint and had sciatic pain so badly I could barely walk. I know how hard that struggle of being away from everything you wanted to do and how hard it is to decide you have to put your health first before anything else. My physio is amazing, too - it's so good having someone who can help keep all the minor injuries from happening. You're not alone! Hearing you talk about your problems feels so familiar. Thank you for always being around and always sharing your struggles.

I've loved your videos for years, I even bought your sewing puns stickers set years ago. I'm sad to see you leave RU-vid but I'm so happy to hear you've improved your mental health and found new passions. I wish you the best.

Take care! In 2020 (and also spring 2021) I had a bad allergy flare up and had to go on a very limited diet and lost of bunch of weight unintentionally, too. It's rough, and had to take about a year off 50% of my work as well. Doing self care is so so so important! I hope you continue to stabilize and feel the best that that you can!

IM SO FREAKING PROUD OF U!!! You are taking care of your health and your personal life and are obviously benefiting tremendously from it. I’m so happy that you are alive and living your life FOR YOU and your loved ones (not us random Internet people lol). You are such a badass and we will always love u! Also I totally get being more passionate about sewing! Making ur craft/hobby your business is honestly super draining.

Like others commented, I am sorry to see you go, but happy that you are doing so much better! Your videos inspired me to start sewing, and were so relatable, as I also have an autoimmune condition (Chron's disease) that impacts my physical health and mental health, so I understood when you had to step back from RU-vid to focus on your health. Wishing you and Lucci all the best in this new year!

I was *just* thinking about you the other day! I'm so glad to hear you're doing well, I completely get the up and downswings of disorder life and dealing with disability. Don't wait for the other shoe to drop, as hard as that is, just do like you've been doing! And you'll be fabulous. 💜

I got into your videos maybe about a year before you stepped back from RU-vid, I honestly have no experience or desire to sew but I love watching others be so creative and make things. I watched a lot of your videos as a comfort, usually in the evenings when I was winding down from work or while I was working on my own creative hobby. I'm sorry to see you go but I am happy that you are healthier and doing something you have more passion for!

Thank you for everything Mx. Annika. Totally understandable to put your health before RU-vid. My mom's got a lot of chronic illness and I myself have experienced malnutrition due to ARFID, so I feel for you and I'm so glad you're taking steps to take care of yourself. And of course the videos you did make will always be there for folks to revisit! Thank you for everything, good luck in future endeavors and stay healthy!

so sorry to hear about the health issues, but so glad you’re getting better and stronger and most of all that you’re so happy. life is so unexpected and strange sometimes, but in my 30s I’ve started finding a surprising comfort and welcoming in the moments that I have to pivot. I’m excited for this new chapter you’re entering and wish you the absolute best in whatever you choose to do. Thanks for the content and that was the sweetest outro/medley for a channel ending I ever seen-such a proper goodbye. xoxo from the states! 💙💙
