I have a step daughter too, in the beginning she was very rude to me whenever she visits. She stays with her maternal grandmother and visits us once in a while. When i realized she was silly, i stayed in my lane. I don't poke my nose in her business, she spends time with her dad and leaves. I was at my shop one day when she showed up. She stayed there with me and helped me out and since then we've been good. Sometimes don't force things, let it happen naturally

At a point in the movie i forgot that Fred and Clinton were actually acting. The bond between Father and Son is so real. Flowed so smoothly! Linda Osifo is a natural,shr played her role so well. I think the step mum was actually alot. She was the problem most of the time. He doesn't just disrespect her from nowhere. She's always in his business. Even me watching the movie was pissed at some point. She didn't understand boundaries or know when to stop. When getting married to someone who has a child you don't expect them to just embrace you from the onset. You have to take things slowly and they will come around. They are also trying to adjust to the new reality. Any woman who doesn't understand that have no business being with a single father

I've been seeing comments about the step mom talking too much. She loves her husband and she knows that her husband loves his son the most which means she is nervous most of the time because she wanted to be loved by her husband's favourite person. Nervousness turns some people to chatterbox. Being a step mom is hard, if you are quiet then people might assume that you don't love your step children and if you talk too much then they will say you are begging for love and attention. Sigh
