Hello Chris, my name is Jesse I'm currently 25 years old. I was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 21, I had health insurance when I was diagnosed with this desease. About 1 year and a half ago I lost my health insurance, insurance became too expensive to afford and ever since I haven't been taking my medication, about a week ago I been having really bad knee and elbows pain. As of today I decided that I was going to declare my self bankrupt because I either take care of my bills or I start taking care of my self. I feel somewhat of failure to my wife, 2 kids and my parent's and to be honest I'm scare of what the future has in-store for me and my family. Hello, I’m a New Zealander and I have Lupus. I empathise with the comments. In my country and 40+ others we have Universal healthcare. People with chronic illness go through enough without worrying about healthcare costs. No stress, medical debt, no medical bankruptcies. Our healthcare is not attached to employment or employer. I’ve been following American politics and believe Medicare for all can be your universal healthcare. Bernie Sanders seems to be the only person for these past 40 years fighting for this. Consider voting for Bernie if you can to get this past. Tell your family and friends. Healthcare is a right and not a privilege. Don’t listen to corporate media’s anti M4A propaganda. Who do you think they work for and who are their advertisers. Corporations and pharmaceutical companies don’t care about your bills, suffering or health. It’s their profits. Universal healthcare is successful. It’s works.

I just want to say God bless u all I just found out 2016. But now I'm 58 Thank God but some days I have cement in my knees ankles shoulders the pain.

The wanting to work and can't part is debilitating. What we "do" defines us as men. Not being able to "do" makes that definition vague, until you can find other ways to make an impact like this husband and father.

Yes I was always a sick kid. Allergies. Lupus and Sjogrens now. My Mom has autoimmune and 2 of my children.
