The Bob Graham Round is a long-distance fell running challenge in which runners attempt to summit 42 of the highest peaks in the English Lake District within 24 hours.
I had the opportunity to spend the entire month of June, 2023 in the Lake District, training and preparing to attempt the 42 fell challenge the weekend of my birthday in celebration of turning 42 myself.

This is not a mere RU-vid video. It's a fantastic, professionally made documentary. I’m from England, not from near the Lakes but it made me incredibly proud to see someone who’s used to running in spectacular locations appreciating the amazing scenery and community that England and the rest of the UK has to offer. It always gets me that you attempt these very difficult challenges while filming them, knowing that the filming will inevitably slow you down, making the challenge even more difficult.

Have to say this is probably one of, if not the best Bob film I've watched. Great storytelling. I love the 'outside' perspective and you managed to capture what's often missing from films like this - which is the culture, quirkiness, community and history surrounding it rather than just documenting the challenge.

It's crazy how you race downhill and don't break anything. Thank you for wonderful video keeping me entertained while I rest from workout training. Healed from gall bladder surgery and now working with a trainer. Ive gone from shuffling early Dec to 5.5 miles !! -utah hiker

I've started running a year ago and I currently don't live somehwere where trail running is realy possible or fun, but after some thru hikes this summer, I'm moving to a different place and I already am SO excited for the trail running I can do there!!! This was absolutely amazing. It was so inspiring and beautiful that it brought a tear to my eye. I really appreciated the attention that you paid to the history and geography of the areas that you visited. I think this is the best way to respect anywhere you choose to travel. Thank you so much for this brilliantly produced video. I am extremely impressed by fell runners - I occasionally run in the pentland hills near me in Edinburgh, but some of the routes you did were simply awe-inspiring. You are a very talented filmmaker.

You could also have a go at the Munros in Scotland (282 0f them). But it would probably take a few visits. Well done on the round - it's certainly a tough one. Coming off Lakeland hills in the dark is always tricky. Congratulations on your time.
