Rianna, I am sitting here crying because you are speaking to my soul, to my spirit, to my mind with your scripture and sermon. I am 35, a hospice aide, four kids, a husband and living in a 2 bedroom 1970's trailer. I have so much desire to live a better life. I've had this desire of wanting to be a nurse since high school but my mind has been my biggest enemy always making me feel like i'm not good enough and here I am with four beautiful blessings and looking around I am reminded of what I have not accomplished because I don't have a proper home for my kids. That narrative has been in my mind since I had my first child. I want to break generation curses, and I have because I am raising my kids in a two parent home (just know that this doesn't mean I have any disrespect for single moms, I was raised by them and I know how hard it is and I don't know your situation- there's nothing wrong with being a single mom ❤) But I look around and I see that I want to do better. I want a home for my kids, I want to be able to afford family vacations and make memories with my kids, I want to be able to afford the family christmas pj's without wondering if I will have enough for bills. But I have to remind myself that what I do have is what money can't buy. I have raised some pretty amazing kids, we pray together as a family at bed time and before we drop them off at school, they love their siblings, they love spending time with grandparents, they are really respectable kids. Those are things I have to remind myself that money can't buy! But I do find myself wishing I had more. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit, being courageous and talking about what you felt led to talk about. You are a blessing in my life.
I lived in a 1 bedroom family of 4. So glad u see the blessings I live in a bigger home but it’s more to cleaning and smaller was easier to keep an eye on young kids. Your right they’re a blessing

I used to feel exactly like this when I was following prosperity gospel. We have to remember God doesn’t care about things. He blesses the righteous and the unrighteous with things. Jesus has come so we can have eternal life. That was the hardest lesson I learned. God didn’t lay down his life so I could have a husband (lifelong dream) or a big house or a fancy car or a hot shot job title. He hasn’t promised us these things. He has promised to supply ALL of our needs. Now that I no longer look to him for just blessings, but praising and serving him as my Savior. I am not nearly as frustrated. I don’t compare my life to other people anymore and I am much more content in my own walk. ❤❤❤❤ As far “New Age” Spirituality, prosperity gospel, and any other false doctrine that takes us too far away from salvation is dangerous. 😊
Please understand that God wants His people to have the best of EVERYTHING, even material things as long as we don’t make them idols. Read your Bible and ask God for discernment of His word. These are just a few scriptures that highlight how blessed God wants us to be. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2 KJV “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.” Ecclesiastes 10:19 KJV “and houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;” Deuteronomy 6:11 KJV “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favour of the LORD.” Proverbs 18:22 KJV

Psalms 37 is my go to scripture for this type of situation. When you feel like everyone else is getting what you want and others seem to be moving forward faster than you. Been there done that and this scripture helps me all the time. Girl the way your going now is preparing you for your mate, it will be worth the wait, just hold on, it's coming.

I totally understand where you are coming from. In my singleness it seemed like everyone was fornicating and shacking then getting married. It seemed like no one was looking my way or the would exit stage left real quick when they realize nothing was going to happen outside of God's way. But I am married now to a God-fearing man that truly loves the Lord and me. I have a wonderful family and some of the ones I was comparing to are now divorced. God's seems hard, but it is always right on time. My mindset changed and I just had to just thank God for what he was Going to do. That's when the blessings started coming.
Yes, Sis, about that new age! The major issue is lots of churches include it in their practices and many think that’s how following Jesus works. It’s a mess! The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge and this is an example.

I can totally relate to the struggle of comparing myself to those who are not living godly live biblically. But I been studying out the book of Matthew. These last few days I have been studying out Matthew 6:1-24 and it talks about people who do things to be seen have already received their reward. This can go for those who don’t do things God’s way biblically. God sees what we do in secret and he calls us to pray , serve , fast and etc in private. Not that we can’t talk about it publicly. But that our heart should be to do it for God not for people. Also that our treasures are in Heaven. So don’t give up girl keep trusting God and follow him on the path he has made for you .

I think we just have to remember God’s plan. God doesn’t need you to be anywhere that you aren’t. He’s placing you where you are for a reason! Listen to Him! Looking at the others (comparison) is the devil. That sting is the devil, not God talking to you!
Even satan quoted Scripture while trying to tempt Jesus in the wilderness! So if we’re not equipped and have His Word guarded in our hearts and minds how do we expect to fight back?!
Well let me ask you this if God doesn’t give you the thing that you want Will you still serve him? My pastor started talking about Abraham and man he had to leave everything but he brought a long lot but in the end he had to travel by himself trusting God he had never seen him before never heard of him but followed his voice and God promised him a son and that he would bring forth many nations now take that and walk in good faith and believe Gods promises in his word and ask him what he intends for your life sometimes we are so focused on the desires of our hearts that we forget what God desires to do in our lives and he sees that it’s going to stop you if he gives it to you if your stagnated about it now this was a hard conversation I had to have with myself and I told God I don’t want to feel this need of a relationship if it’s not for me or on my path we’ll take this feeling why do I feel like I have to obtain this longing of a relationship.

I understand what you are talking about and I was there once. I would say Lord why do the substance abuser in relationships and thought I was doing everything that God wanted me to do, but he told me the Devil will make you believe that someone has more than you but I what I give you will last.

Seems to me when people speak about the universe and use the word manifest; they don’t really know Jesus- and just saying what they hear others say. It seems to be the new thing now. They have no clue of Jesus greatness and who God really is. I hear a lot of RU-vidrs doing that. Like being spiritual is the “it thing “ now. God is not a “trend” .

You are on fire and God sees you! Others see you! Believe it or not there are others like myself that appreciate the season you are in. Right now God is holding you closer to Him before life really gets chaotic with a husband and kids, and time isn't on your side. Pray for your future husband and before you know it God will sweep you through your new phase of life before you have time to think twice.
