I subscribed. I'm committed to learning Spanish. I work in a prison and, unfortunately, some of our offenders speak very little English, so I want to learn Spanish to be able to communicate with them better. We can have a safer relationship when we communicate better.
@rocketterrier Thank you. I've been listening to a lot of these videos, and others, and trying to take in Spanish-speaking media. I appreciate the encouragement.
Id definitely recommend watching @qroopaul on RU-vid. He was in the same position that you are currently, and makes it easier for English speakers to understand the technicalities of Spanish from the English perspective. Highly recommend
I’m a beginning Spanish learner (I’m 80 years old 😂). I enrolled in a Spanish language course at my local senior center, 7:40 and we are conjugating verbs. My five year old granddaughter speaks English, Spanish, and is in Mandarin immersion preschool. She doesn’t even know what a verb is. I watched a few of your shorts, I liked your method, and looked up your RU-vid videos. I’m going to subscribe and hopefully take a course. Much success to you!!
@@soljah2540before this channel he used to be a basketball youtube coach his channel was ILOVEBASKETBALLTV but it was overrun by some people and they kicked him out it’s fucked up that that happened that channel used to have like 2 million subscribers
I like these videos where you just talk to us because it help me get familiar with the words accents and speed. Keep doing don’t let RU-vid discourage you !
0:50 Hey Iam from Virginia Beach!! Subscribing to your channel. This is something I’ve been wanting to do from the beginning of the year 2024. Just decided to start now. I love your content so far. I hope to be speaking Spanish soon. I know a little so that should be helpful. Took it in high school and then quit because my friends and the hole classes Spanish speaking. But I should have used that to my advantage at the time but when you’re young you don’t care lol 😂🤣 Thanks for the content! 👍👊🔥
Yep, that’s worth a sub. You are literally the second channel I’ve ever subscribed to, because I thought it would cost me money, but even if it does, you are worth subbing to because to the density of your videos, as well as your general knowledge of Spanish, and how to teach it. Thank you for that!
I’d take the predicament as: post shorts to boost views and engagement. Of which your channel will be discovered to more people and help them learn through discovering deeper into the courses/longer videos
I love how your passionate about teaching and your tips are practical, thanks ive grown up from watching you at ilovebasketball to years later who would have known i would be watching you to learn spanish while im im mexico
Love your content on RU-vid and I’m very dedicated to learning fluent Spanish so I tried to sign up for your course. Unable to process payment using three different payment methods, all valid, so I guess I’m SOL on that one.
The shorts are actually really helpful for me! I've been trying to learn on Duolingo and Tobo Spanish for about a year now and your shorts help me keep the information in my head!
i want to learn spanish and am dedicted. I go to a church with majoirty being hispanic and my nail technician only speak spanish. Plus do many customers come into my job who dont speak english. Im so dedicated especially since my sister was able to learn it
Tengo un pregunte, pero no sé si yo sé palabras todos en español. I’m just beginning. Should I listen to the same Spanish content (I.e pick a movie/so forth) repeatedly until I master that one video or should I listen to different in out from different videos every day?
Grcias,Rocky! Gringos seis el Español el sonido malo muy muchos en la trauma por 2 años a high school como el Ingles en Japon por 6 años. Porque, estoy un Japones en Japon.
Honestly I just wanna talk to this one female I've been talking to in Spanish because that's her first language. I just feel like it would be more respectful to her.
Don't give up. I'm trying again for probably the 5th or 6th time. And I'm picking it up faster because I remember some things. I'm using Duolingo and I got my son to use it so we'll help each other out.
Muchas gracias por ver (Thanks for watching!) Don't forget to check out our guide of the 3 Secrets to Learn Spanish Faster here - speakspanishfaster.com/youtube
I found your videos because your shorts were recommended to me when I started searching for basic Spanish learning videos (pronunciations, how to roll erre, etc.), and it led me to subscribe to your channel and watch your longer videos. So I think there’s utility to the shorts, even if they’re not a good learning tool and shouldn’t be prioritized
I like these kind of videos because I understand a lot of Spanish but the few words that I don’t understand, I come back and watch until I no longer need the subtitles 😊
Love your content! Just subscribed! Have you thought about doing a video for Police, Fire, & EMS personnel for common phrases to ask in emergencies and probably what common words or phrases to expect when they reply to our questions? I’m a firefighter/EMT and we have been getting a lot of Spanish speakers lately in our area. I was wanting to put together common phrases on a cheat sheet for my crew and also just to help me learn Spanish. Just asking cause your videos have been pretty helpful in terms of teaching styles! Thank you!
I wonder if you could do a video on word placement in Spanish because on my journey of learning Spanish I’ve notice how natives mixes up the word as in they don’t use individual spanish words to make a sentence they mostly use a word a two. I hope this makes sense

I found you through a Shorts video actually. I've been trying to learn Spanish on my own since 2020 and am passed the beginner's stage of annunciation from when i was in high school in 1997. I didn't take it seriously in high school and regret it. I'm starting a different adventure and the reasons I want to learn Spanish are where I like to be is a lot of Spanish speaking culture, the fact that it's a beautiful language, it's becoming more mixed into my family than it was when I was little, and I'm finding the different language dialects and cultures to be more fascinating the more people, videos, and reads I introduce myself to.
You definitely have a very unique style of teaching, which is something I have been looking for. I especially hate the apps or courses that teach perfect spanish. I should honestly speak fluently, because I was with the father of my 3 kids for 15 years and he is Puerto Rican. Anyway, many of my frends are Puerto Rican and in order to help people in need (homelessness) being more fluent in the language will help so that I am not limited in those that I can help. Thanks so much!!
Been wanting to learn Spanish as well and just wanted to know if your way of teaching is okay for people with adhd because I get very demotivated easily when things get very confusing, I am not the smartest 16 year old but I think I can learn Spanish fast if what your teaching in your app is easy for me to learn lol. thanks
Where (In Spain) is the closest to Mexican Spanish. I know there are different languages all over Spain. I'm looking for an area that speaks closest to Mexican Spanish
@eduargironza3403 hola amigo I want to learn spanish do you help me you also need english I know english little bit we learn what do you think if want we will talk in instagram or whatsapp
This is coming late, so I'm guessing you've had a lot of good suggestions already. Where there is any tidbit of knowledge you can distill, shorts can mainly mainly be used to lead people to your main channel. I'm one of those beginner that took Spanish in highschool and I'm surprised how many words I can pick up here and there. Your videos with subtitles are great. I'll be looking into your channel more. I'm hoping to find some lessons of words with pictures of the main topic.
It's one o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep now. Approximately 400,000,000spanish speakers in the world and we don't know what the right "r" sound is. You left us hanging. Can they possibly all be the same? Will we not be able to understand each other? I was looking for encouragement.
He is pronouncing it right. There is r and then there is rr. One is pronounced harsher/harder then the other. Just went through this with my son. He was trying to pronounce rr with every word that had an r in it. 😅
Yo coach Rock ! it's crazy how a few years ago you helped me a lot with basketball, now that I might play overseas I look on youtube and find teacher Rock🥲 I love how you're challenging yourself with italian, keep going ! you're very motivating
