My right hand rocker had been caved in and filled with lead nearly its entire length and in some places 3/8" thick. I have had the car 30 years and never knew until I stripped the paint. It had holes rusted in other areas so it got replaced. Whoever did the lead work was a master at it!
That stuff is crazy tough , I used it to seal a hole in a deuce and a half fuel tank ! Diesel fuel doesnt break it down , crazy stuff , just hard to sand once it dries
I have been using all metal as well for over 20 years. What's nice about it, since it has aluminum in it, it seams to expand and contracts closer to the same rate as the steel where a plastic body filler are a different expansion ratio. The plastic body filler is really for skim coats over time if the plastic filler is used it will separate from the edges if it is used to thick.
