I’ve been watching filthy fellas for 8 years, one thing nobody can take away from poet is that he has put on a lot of people and really is a pioneer in football RU-vid.
Whenever people are this kindhearted, there's always gunna be some that wants to take advantage. Filthy is one of the best shows on RU-vid. Big up Poet for putting the mandem on and always trying to serve the #community. I liked tego; but this is a Foul🟥 should ab gone to man if he was struggling financially etc.
The main thing that this FF situation exposes, in my opinion, is how INFESTED this space is with people, "fans" that simply don't get it and don't care about the truth. I guess its the by-product of success but its still embarrassing the amount of people who are chatting foolishness. The only solution is if you dont like poet. Leave the space. Turn off the screen cuz you're only stressing yourselves.
When your success is predicated on parasocial relationship with the fans, they invest a lot of their time and feel a sense of entitlement to know what's going on.
@@deanm7428They apparently gave him the company card and he was spending a lot of the money on himself and justifying it by saying he does a large percentage of the work. He’s spent 10s of thousands on himself if I’m not mistaken.
I couldn’t stand Tego for a few years at the start of filthy but the mandem on show seemed to fuck with him so I was like fair enough.. but I yeah I always thought he was a weird one

@sacred1827 they were suspicious of him. But sounds like tego let the status etc get to his head. Always happens. Outsider looking in they come inside and act like they own the place. He defo got fired from filthy. That was a sperate thing that he was part of though. Poet shouldn't be disingenuous. Other members confirm it. But he's saying real shit for the most part. He also implied that tego had been doing it for a while and the info was confirmed a while back. Which if true. It's like when you hand in notice for a job they probably gave him an end date. Specs was telling loonz that tego was going so they all obviously knew.
Poet is one of the few people who I find genuinely annoying in a lot of ways but I stand up for him because I know what he’s done and his intentions are pure.
54:40 This hits hard because watching Filthy over the years, Specs and PK treated Tego with a lot of respect, let him influence their lives a lot and were close with him compared to the others. And they disappeared because of Tego and only reappeared after Tego left.
I've never been big on Poet, but as a Copa and Filthy fan I have to give him his condoms. He also provided just enough context for the Tego thing where I have the closure he needed. And ultimately he has provided so much that we have to appreciate that his biggest flaw is being a little annoying sometimes. He seems like a good friend though.
Thank you for explaining the situation Po. It's unfortunate the hate you get on these platforms, but... I guess it's unfortunately not uncommon. I totally get the desire to keep things behind closed doors. And there is no obligation to share. But it is, I guess, kind to share some stuff with us as we've been supporting the show for so long. So it was nice to not be left completely blind to something that is an important part of our lives.

Filthy Fellas is in my top 3 shows on any platform. I been watching it for 10 years from way back when they used to sit in duos and poet would up a tablet with that guy on it during episodes 😅😭. I say all that to say shout out Poet as that show is super entertaining 🔥.

Generally speaking, right-wing parties in the West don't actually give substantial tax cuts (or any at all) to the working class people. They've just managed to convince them that 'one day it could be you' so they vote for the interests of the rich
As someone who listens to just the music sections of this pod, Poets takes on classic UK albums are increasingly hard to listen to.... Bashy did a classic album, it's top notch and nothings missing for me!

Appreciate Poet’s contribution to the football media scene. One thing I’d say though is, his time as being ‘Xavi’ shouldn’t be the footballer Xavi but more the management Xavi. It’s time to be behind the scenes Poet. It’s come to a point where people in the scene appreciate you a lot and so do the crowd. But it may be time to hang up your boots and let the team do the talking on the pitch while you do it in training. You got the tactical knowledge to succeed. Respectfully 🤝
Poet man! When the dust settles please re-evaluate your part that you played in this! You let someone not of the culture run the account of your own company as you put it and they were able to get away with stealing. This is not a boss move. This is a case of practice what you preach... Your eyes were not in the details. You preach community, part of that is also protecting what you have built, so that you can continue to provide a platform for others like yourself. I like Poet but watching this man completely not understand the concept that not everyone cares about football is kinda mad. I mean whether England won or lost there are people in the country who 100% fully would not care in the slightest either way. They wouldn't have celebrated if they won they didn't care when they lost. So if one of these people went to wireless and weren't happy that it got cut off for the football, how can you call them selfish? 🤔🤨

The issue with Poet is that he suffers from a major identity crisis. he’s not Jamaican for as much as he tries & deep inside knows he’s just a british guy who’s spent his whole life in the UK.

Not everyone is passionate about football, regardless of England's victory leading to a huge celebration. Poet's stance seems narrow and contradictory. He criticised Wireless Festival attendees for wanting the full experience they paid for, labeling them as selfish. End of the day, while casual fans might enjoy the celebrations if England won, it may not be their main focus. I agree with what Poet saying in regards to Bashy, he’s a different version of himself as an Artist, Bashy was colourful and cocky, he’s a mature artist now and nothing like he was before, it’s not really an ‘elevated’ version of himself like Chuckie is saying, Poet is correct it’s a different Bashy we have now, nothing bad but it’s different, very good album still

We are hearing "ROBBERY" but what is that really? Poet can call names without providing receipts - is this ROBBERY like ...writing bad cheques, wirefraud etc? OR is it "ROBBERY" like - he took more money from deals than us? Those two things are very different and can both be painted with the name "ROBBERY". POET even says it "he thinks hes more valuable than us" when talking about "ROBBERY". That is NOT Robbery - that is an opinion that many would feel he's earned. Notice how Poet downplays Tego in this interview completely - he is "the man in question" he is simply someone "Who worked in RWD" , he is simply "the producer"....why lie to us like this? We saw Tego on the screens doing more than that. What is funny is how Poet, someone who talks about "giving people their flowers" - completely undermines the contributions "his friend" // now co-worker has done. This stinks. No receipts, facts ...just slander. But let's be honest, did we expect anything else? This is just about man being upset about how much $$$ someone is making/demanding/taking and spinning it as "ROBBERY". If it aint and is fr - go to court and show us receipts. If not, its just mud-slinging. Poet downplays Tego's role at FF so much as just the "producer" - when in reality FF has never looked emptier and more devoid of actual intelligent conversations and debate. Also the attempted dig about Tego liking Enzo as a player - somehow insinuating he's a racist is dirty work. Stinks. And for someone who is so mighty about talking all the things he's done - look at all the projects and people he's burnt off too and moved on with. Copa90, Boiler Room and now RWD/Tego. Makes you think about who REALLY is the problem doesn't it?
Trumps outcome of his most recent courtcase would be VERY different if the shooter was successful! My beleif is Hunter choose this episode to switch the whole Court storyline. And thankfully it all failed x
