G Face entered this world, torn from his mother's embrace and thrust into the foster care system. Moving from one home to another, he never experienced the warmth of family or the security of stability. Surviving on fruit from trees and scraps from garbage cans, G Face endured severe abuse during his childhood.
As a teenager, G Face found himself unwittingly caught in the midst of a longstanding gang conflict raging through the unforgiving streets of LA. In such an environment, survival meant aligning with like-minded individuals or becoming a target. He joined NBT - Nothing But Trouble, a tagging crew that originated in Leimert Park and later evolved into the Trouble Gangster Crips.
G Face's life took a dramatic turn when he was shot in the back by LAPD officers. Despite being approached by a civil rights attorney offering a chance to sue the LAPD, G Face chose to remain loyal to the G Code he had sworn to uphold. This decision cost him potentially millions of dollars in compensation. His loyalty to his principles led to numerous incarcerations, from youth facilities to federal and state penitentiaries.
However, it was during his time behind bars, particularly after being caught robbing a Wells Fargo Bank, that G Face began a journey of profound self-reflection and personal growth. He eventually turned away from street life and transformed himself. Today, he owns a successful business specializing in biohazard cleanup services and is a devoted father to his children.
We extend our gratitude to G Face for sharing his inspiring journey of redemption with us.
