We are Facebook friends, I do not know what time you did this drive but did anyone hail the bus to stop? LOL Also, I can hear loud and clear that body frame sound effect (Oooo) when accelaration and decelaration only New Flyers have. Awsome, buy and enjoy Mister !!
+South Florida Transitfan hey buddy, yeah a lot of people get up and get ready to board.. even thought there are no Short LF buses in Albuquerque, and on top of that my destination sign wasent working, not to mention the color of my bus is not like the buses that run here lol...
Also, its been a dream of mine to have my very own D40LF. Ive seen D40s and D60s go for a few hundred to a thousand dollars if you buy 20yr old Translink (Vancouver) buses. What did this one cost ya?
Rejean Rivard I got this 35 diesel bus for 10000, but the person who actually won the public auction a few years ago paid like 4000-6000 for it, it has 200k miles on a rebuilt, I plan for it to last a long time
+Rejean Rivard Translink sells for $9000... 20 years old. They were advertised here in Seattle for some reason, I guess because they're cheap ($9000 CAD is like 6450 USD), might be a good bus for a church or something at that price
Oh im Canadian from Toronto. I can already drive a bus as long it doesn't have more than 7 passenger seats. That's how it works in Ontario. But yeah still, for sure when I have the money.
Rejean Rivard Translink would actually be the best bet as BC uses a chemical on the roads when they ice over, rather than salt. The chemical doesn't rust cars which means a Translink bus would be much safer than a rusted out TTC.
Rejean Rivard the FMCSA requires you to have a commercial drivers license, with a passengers endorsement, to operate a "bus" that holds more then 15 passengers...
my dream bus would take the best qualities of the gm fish bowl paticually the stainless steel air craft skin and build a custom ikaris 286 with better weilded together the the orionginal ikaris 286 and cumming pancak 14 leter engine
