Hmmmmm, now I am wondering if I should hold off on buying FSOA. I almost put an offer in and then saw this video. Anyone think it would be the smarter choice to wait and check out these weapons / do we think FSOA will drop or increase?
@@turetaa1 While I tend to agree the problem is that it will mean every upgrade from now on is going to be a different play style you will need to learn. I also dislike the idea of passives, its how we got a tier 95 melee weapon being a instant EOF fodder because of how good a passive was. The 9 seconds is also going to mean the FSoA will be a EOF fodder given you don't want to switch to it and loss the passives on the weapons. Power IS about weapon feel though. Unless you can trigger wild magic enough its not going to be very good.
I feel they are removing the skill ceiling, for people who put hrs and hrs in to master combat to pretty much be like yea we gonna make pvm pretty much 1 click and camp something, it’ll make magic dead. Also means no 4taa
@@dying4abeer527 I undestand your point. But, there's less than 1% of player base that tryhard bossing with all switch, 4taa and so on. Jmods are trying make RS3 "good to watch in stream" like OSRS do making the combat more simple and working on unique builds for each style
A new BUFF BAR. If new abilities require stacks and buffs then let us find these on screen. Too often they are not in the same spot if they even show at all. If they want people to get into combat, then make it easier to see what is going on, consistently.
Considering that Magic Dual-wield was my go-to combat style for roughly 75% of bosses before Necromancy came out, I'm looking forward to bringing my spell days back.
If you want to bring more people into pvm. you need to realise that runescape is runescape. And stop trying to be any other mmo out there. For as long as the tick system is a thing. Some people will not do anything more pvm related than afk bossing/slayer. There are slayer monsters in runescape, that has more mechanics. Than some bosses in wow(just to take a another known game as an expample) Some bosses that are peak pvm introductions for people in runescape. Is jad, archglacor, hell even kerapac normal mode is quite easy to learn. Because they have easily spotted and telegraphed attacks. You can see and have time to react to them. And true, some bosses in other mmos is just a clusterfuck of mechanics. But there you have the support of your other part members to split them up. Runescape in general, people play solo. So you cant have 5-10 mechanics in a longer boss fight. Your avarage player will not be able to learn and remember those. Conclution: A new runescape boss need. 1. Mechanics that you are able to spot, and have enough time to react to(when you take the tick system into consideration). 2. Being able to do it solo, but also can bring a friend or two. 3. Loot that is available to anyone doing the boss(not just those who do it on hard or 1000% enrage). 4 . Doable with revolution/semi manual. 5. Don't have a bloated health pool to pad out the boss fight(Just because it takes longer. Does not make it more challenging. Looking at you vorkath)
I think they should just remove the style specific attacks just make all of the abilities accessible Though i hope Fsoa is finally going to get a passive
They need to give elite tecto a set affect and they need to get rid of the consumption of item charges like how draco has... it doesn't degrade and you don't need to constantly buying more and more tectonic pieces of armor to recharge it.
1. Tectonic Repair Patches exist and are way cheaper 2. I don't foresee them doing that unless another magic set is added. Sirenic only got a special effect because Dracolich became a thing
This is the issue with the age of the game. The vast majority are high level. Runescape 3 isn't very new player friendly as is. Making things for new players get the core community mad for some reason
Yo you should definitely make a vid showcasing ‘what is rs3?’, something along the lines of that, a vid I could show a friend who’s never even looked at RuneScape before, without scaring them away by bombarding them with info that they will never understand, having a hard time with this myself I don’t even know how tf I would explain rs3 as a game I just end up rambling on about every single skill 😂 Lowkey whole rs3 community needs this vid so we can alll bring in a bunch of noobs
they say they don't want people switching to fsoa for spec then switching back cause they want it to be a stand alone dual wield. Well that's fine i guess i just gotta eof my fsoa
Not gonna lie every time I look at updates for this game since switching to OSRS, I get annoyed with how complicated everything is in RS3 :l New dungeon looks great though!
I hate switchscape being a thing. Especially when it is switching between combat styles, that should NEVER be the best. That being said, a switch scape from same combat style is a hit or miss. I personally don't like it, but I can see the high level players wanting it.
If you don't like it, don't use it. Simple as that. You can do all content without switches. You cannot expect to deal maximum DPS with minimal input, pvm would lose all depth. Also switch scape is not that hard. It's literally no different than clicking any other keybind, like an ability. It's been a part of RuneScape pvm forever.
Jagex has a chance with Necromancy to help bridge skillers like me to PvM in a way the Arch Glacor couldn't. Keep it as a simple, separate combat style that's easy to learn and pair it up with bosses who are designed with easier mechanics in mind. Don't place the responsibility of learning poor combat mechanics and complex combat ability interactions on the player - take the responsibility yourself Jagex! Or stop making 90% of your content additions/updates PvM related!
Wow that guy on the reddit that said this is a very osrs style update was not kidding. All kinds of great stuff in here for sure theyre definitely taking the right pages from the osrs playbook with some of these ideas. I really like the timer bar for boss specials although i would hope thats a blanket change and not just for this dungeon because by "mid to high level" you should be able to subconsciously feel out that timer so it seems redundant to add it for only these bosses to teach new players. Would be much better to use it somewhere way earlier like QBD
T95 is a glorified camel staff and im not fond of that idea. I would prefer staff and wands to not compete against each other because they don't work right seperate.
Right! Mage flows so fluidly with its swaps and 4taa, they should really not mess it up and instead leaning that Asa gameplay style with the utility weaving and all. Just wasted potential for good and different play styles between the different styles
@@aaronw-arrior9974 You are in the tiny minority of players who even want to learn 4taa let alone can actually do it… Game design isn’t about making some sweaty loser happy, it’s about making something accessible and enjoyable for the majority of the player base
@@aaronw-arrior9974 Like they should let them be decent seperate for the people who want to be lazy, but endgame pvm should require using both and having the ability to actually use magic.
@derais6162 yeah, I am nit a fan of dumbing down combat because of necro being popular and it being a lot harder to output a bit more damage, and I think that's fine. But people should also not feel like they need to do the stuff the top of the top do. They want the most so they do. Why cater only to revo warriors and people who don't when they don't engage in it, it's a wierd back and forth
Jagex should make the t95s of both 2h and dual wield have visual runes (like in zammy) stack over head like Necro has souls visible around the player. Another buff on the buff bar just adds confusion to an already more confusing style compared to Necro. Gconc/ sonic wave could be the basic like soul sap that is used to add runes to the player to reduce the “crit spam” method of magic. Necro has moved combat away from crits = everything yet we are getting more of this with magic? Sigh
is it known if the t95s will be hm only or if some item for making them will be hm only? like lets sey need some pices of items from nm thats tradeabel and some from hm that is not tradeable but used to make the final weapon?
This is what keeps me on osrs and off of rs3. ToA is like better than any of the EDs in rs3. Rs3 raids just need to be removed from the game. Elite dungeons are far better.
This feels very we have a new update how do we make this the bis and make all other styles crap, personally I think magic has always been rubbish and will wait for a range duel then I’ll actually be interested but don’t make it good for 6 months and power creep it
I'm not really a fan of bossing in rs3. The game isn't responsive enough to be viable for fast reaction combat. I play FPS games, and my reaction speed isn't the issue. I end up having to spam click over 10 times on a spot before my guy even begins to move. Then even as he leaves the spot he was just at, I can still see damage numbers telling me I got hit on the square I'm already gone from. I'd be more into another skilling boss like croesus or big game hunter. I enjoy those, but I don't like having to play with a bunch of people who can mess up the run by trolling, or having to team up with 4 sweats that want to do it down to the second. I prefer playing solo, and just chilling.
Genuinely, find a world that works better for you. a solid 99% of the issue you are describing comes from playing on a world you have either bad ping or bad latency on. Or a high population world. Find a low population world that you have low latency on, and, you will notice a very big dif.
