More of the American Heritage would be great love those designs, maybe on RTX material? Black shirt with high viz strips on them for construction workers 🙋🏻♂️
As usual, Jocko is on point. Yes, Origin, you NEED to be in work wear. Work wear, is exactly what Origin, is about, no? Working hard, jobs, bringing manufacturing back home, and America. I'm ready for more work wear. I'm not a desk jockey and everything I do, is hard on clothes. I need work clothes, made in America.
I do work at a desk and I also want work wear! I’d love to have comfortable pants that pass off as business pants. But after work I want comfortable, sturdy clothes and boots. My day job is in software, but evenings and weekends I’m doing manual labor - woodworking, construction, working on my vehicles, yard work, etc. A good sturdy pair of pants that will last me years is what I want!
@@martharetallick204 Do they source all the cotton and other materials from American companies? Do they twist and weave the cotton themselves? Or is it just the assembly? Where is the denim cut? Some companies have everything made outside of the country, including cutting the material. Then the last step of sewing the pieces together happens here in the US. That's better, but not really enough to restore American manufacturing capability.
@@martharetallick204 There's several other "Made in the USA" jeans, but I can never seem to find out if they go as far as Origin does, with sourcing materials. If I have to look that hard to find out, chances are it's only partially made here.
Bought some Carhartt clothes for my warehouse job. Got holes in a few months. My built jeans and hoodies are holding up YEARS later. Really no comparison.
I continue to buy Origin because of the quality and customer service, not just to support American made products. If it’s crap I won’t support it just because it’s made here. I’m happy and proud to support Origin, great work.
Word of advice from someone who has sat through a bunch of apparel collection meetings, get some grid wall installed in that conference room on a wall. Instead of a rolling rack for the collection, you can put pieces up on the grid wall and show and discuss the pieces without having to fumble around racks of samples. Being true to size is another issue new companies struggle with. It turns off customers if sizing is off or inconsistent. It costs money for reaturns and exchanges. Ultimately, it can cost customers who get frustrated with sizing issues. I can't stress enough how important consistent sizing is.
Agreed. If they do good in regular workwear I think FR would be a logical step. I’m a lineman and the quality of some of the FR stuff out there is atrocious.
I left Carhartt after they mandated vaccines, and now i wear Kuhl, Duluth is too heavy and immobile. Origin, please make the pockets accessible unlike the jeans and a non strechy waist on your new work pants. I really want y'all to win, but the fit ultimately wins my money. Hemp blend work flannel please, my Patagonia is amazing, and I'd love something made in the USA
@@caryrichardson338 I'm sure some seedy behavior is happening certainly. Which is why we'd all love Origin to get it right, but when using tools, the more effective one is often used rather than the right one. Haven't you ever seen an electrician hammer something with pliers!
@@OneGold_777 I get it. Patagonia are huge supporters of abortion and closing access to public lands to anything except hikers. Two things I can’t knowingly help support in any way.
I love Origin. I have multiple pairs of boots and jeans; multiple hoodies and hunt wear. MAJOR POINT OF CONTENTION: some of us are built more like Eddie Hall than others… the fit of a lot of these garments are for little skinny folk. Well, I’m a Bear. My chest and shoulders are huge. My quads are huge. My calves are huge. If you’re getting into workwear (30+ years experience with heavy construction and forestry) PLEASE cut that shit so it’s functional. My Delta 68s look like leggings, Bro…
I have been wearing American jeans for two years, but from a Chicago brand, mainly because they are cheaper. Now that I have two pair of Origin jeans, I am converting my wardrobe to Origin. Happy to finally see a denim jacket! I've been waiting to buy one from Origin.
Our renovation crew is from this broken down County where one day the industry of American made Stanley Furniture, Wrangler, Levi, etc left these families here stranded. Call it now a generational curse. We’re trying to make a difference. Dilapidated homes, motels, stores, buildings are getting Originfied. We take pride in grabbing the worse piece of crap and make it new, safe, & liveable. A message of grace for hurtn families. Everyday is for just that today. Thx for inspiring to dream. Ps: love the work gear we wear.
Hear me out. Have y'all thought about making a mid thigh pocket on the right leg for your work jeans? It's a pocket made for your phone, it would be in a very convenient place for when you're crouched down working your dirty job and are expecting a call from a job recruiter and miss it because your waist pocket is in an inferior position...... no? Okay.
Just ordered two pairs of pants. One was the work pant. I’m a union iron worker structural and and a connector. And we go through pants like nobody’s business. Even learned how to use a sewing machine to keep ‘em going. We shall see how your jeans play out. Looking forward to getting them
Is making a lower cut front pocket an idea so you could actually get your hand in the pocket? And would offsetting the rear pockets further to the sides so sitting while stuff in your rear pocket won't put pressure on your sciatic, making it more comfortable.
Got two pairs of the MOAB pants, one was missing some of the belt loops, not sure if I should send back or keep as a novelty. I love them otherwise. If it’s not on your product list yet, can we add all black wool lowers? I have two of the camo, but for hiking and running it would be nice to have something neutral. Also some longer inseam training shorts (basketball). 70% of my closet is Origin products, the other 15% is USA made, and the final 15% are local businesses or imports. Looking forward to being 100% in the next two years. Even with the occasional mistakes I’m not going to bail on y’all. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the great work, casual and hunting gear!
I've been wearing origin jeans working in a woodshop since they launched. Overall they are great. The only problem is that the delta68 jean fabric tends to wear quickly at the front of the pockets (from carrying material, rubbing against a work bench etc). Once they get a snag or a hole in that spot it quickly "runs" or expands (this has been consistent over at least 4 delta pairs). This doesn't happen with the factory denim jeans. I have factory denim jeans that have held up for years. It would be great of the delta work pants could have factory denim over the wear points on the front of the pocket (exactly were a phone is creating a friction point).
More US wool would be nice I work outside 6 days a week 52 weeks a year from 105 in the summer to 10 in the winter. I find wool spans the temperature range really well.
For my job in Texas I have to wear pants year round and I would like a lightweight pant. That is durable and knee pads be built in that would be great.
I can relate. But if you are waiting for Origin to bring out a women's line, you will be waiting for a long time. As for work pants, I bought mine from Round House. Oklahoma company that's been around for a century.
In my hometown, where it's hot 300 plus days out of the year, no matter how great the quality is, it will wear out easily. Especially if a bicycle is your transportation. After one year, the jeans wear out. The Dickies 874 might last you four years if you're lucky. My point is, when it comes to blue collar work, your clothes wears out to the point of no good no more. I guess when making a product, you got to start with appeasing the people in your environment first.
Gotta have the hood on the new nova lock jacket. Even if I'm wearing a hoodie underneath or a beanie, I like that extra water resistant layer to keep said hood or beanie dry. So pumped for the joggers. REALLY looking forward to more training short options that were teased in a previous video. A 6" or 7" inch would be great or even up to a 5" with a liner? Really wanna stop wearing training shorts made overseas. Maybe "essential tanks" with summer coming up? So excited for future drops!
Been looking for a quality American made flannel, I will wait for these to drop. Please consider making a more fitted version! Similar to what the Delta 68s are to the factory jean. Also in the market for a canvas jacket, but will delay until these come out.
Can we also get a line of chinos/khakis for those of us that sit at a desk all day?! All of my previous sources for American made chinos have dried up.
Bringing respect and durability to the workwear community is a big deal. The trades are less respectable domestically than they are in other countries like Europe and Scandinavia, which is why most of the high end and technical workwear is made over there and imported here. If you can bridge that gap and give American tradesman workwear that performs and fits professionally while being as American as they are, all ships rise with the tide.
My Delta denim jeans wore through the crotch in 18 months. It’s not a lifetime material as much as I love them. Meanwhile, my Black Friday 2023 Delta jeans have shallow pockets and a REALLY bad zipper. Go back to YKK zippers please.
Can I make a recommendation: Make your canvas Double Knee in Black (LEO), Dark blue (Fire/EMS), Dark gray (Industrial trades), and OD green (Should be obvious) Also, seems obvious to me, but Calf height side zip boot. In black, because it is the number one selling shoe for Wolverine for almost 15 years.
We need FR clothing, pant length in 38 & 40. Y’all should actually get construction workers to critique the clothing. Then you’ll have bomb ass clothing.. I’m a union lineman, you know we build power lines
I feel I like no Jean jacket would be appropriate without a Motörhead, Suicidal Tendencies, Metallica or an Iron Maiden patch on it. That’s just me though. Gear looks good gents! As an old schooler “TTT” 😉 keep on keeping on fellas!
This is what I am looking forward for. You guys are finally getting to build rough drafts before you’re putting it to market. I am very happy about this.
Some good stuff. Are you guys discontinuing the 100 kilo joggers and 100 kilo shorts? I've been needing some more pairs but they've been out for a while.
Stowable hoodie? Other than that, take my money. I’m buying more origin stuff due to liking what I have now more than anything else. Earlier on I had stitching that was off here and cuts that were off there. Lately, it’s all right on. I’m buying for me, my wife and kids and gift cards for family presents. Even if separated from USA made, I’d buy it.
Gotta have the hood on the puffy. I live, work, hunt, hike and climb in Alaska. Nobody up here normally buys their insulation layer without a hood. Period.
I hope the original Heavy Hoodie design stays! Just waiting for a restocking of the grey one so I can order it. On the new one, the zipper pocket was missing - please dont change the existing model!!
Are you going to make FR rated clothing? Need to wear it for work and would love to rep Origin. Also please can you make womens jeans? Want to buy my gf some jeans
Wondering why anyone would wear fleece shorts. I always think of fleece as a way to stay warm. If I'm wearing shorts, I'm going to a nylon short, not fleece. Seems weird.
Screw the logo placement stuff, I am a renovator I live in my work clothes, I beat the crap out of my work clothes paint, glue, sparks you name it .they get washed every other day .My happiest day when my clothes get washed enough that they are not stiff as hell ...start there I use double knee pants not because they are exciting .......... they have a pocket inside the pants for foam knee pads that slip in when I need them. and out when you don't. knee pads on bands cut your legs after a while if they were in a knee pocket on the outside of the pants a different density pad could be used....for instance painters use light weight pads there goal is the stand and make production ...floor setters use heavy duty pads ...I use gel pads....when your knees are cooked you are out of the trades...... why not interview people who work for a living
Would love to be able to rock origin but the price deters me. I own some jiujitsu items. Other than that I can’t afford to buy multiple pairs of jeans for work. I can get 6 pairs of jeans for the price of one origin. Hate that it’s not from America but also hate to have to live off of ramen to wear something made in America.
I don't know where you guys are marketing your product. Or what your price point is. The farmers and ranchers in Missouri with love. Those advance m f a feed stores in missouri missouri farmers of america
I want to add Origin to a Vendor list to those of Us that Operate on the North Slope as well as the Cook Inlet in Alaska…We Need you as You Need Us👊🇺🇸👊
Have you guys made any updates on boots. I Have had two pair and both have fell apart within months. Love the boots just don’t hold up like they should.
One thing that is so irritating is when companies make these jackets without hoods. I will never buy one unless it is a denim jacket. Anything else has to have a hold. It provides more weather resistance.
On the canvas pants if it can hold up to briars and such but still be relativly light weight Id be interested. Dans Briar gear is currently the gold standard
I need stuff that I can convince an entire state contracted system to switch over to. Where everyone is issued origin work pants, jackets, sweatshirts, etc etc.
