A Windy February Sunday in Amble.
Just beyond the sights of a busy market on the harbour, a keenly fought fishing contest between experts was happening on the pier. David Dixon managed to land three flatties at once before snapping his line and retiring from the competition ten minutes before the deadline and Fluff Anderson managed a pair too small to take victory. At 4pm Kevin Henderson was declared the outright winner and quiet celebrations were held in The Schooner afterwards.
