That is a super cool little pond to fish! Beautiful scenery too, the cloud cover had to be a nice reprieve from the sun! As always, love the storylines!
One guy took his family out there at dusk in the warm season and saw eight rattlesnakes. They like to find hot pavement at dusk. The family was new to the Yakima area. Once you get into the two canyons heading for White and Chinook Passes the snakes don't get much control from local people like farmers.
Thanks Nate! Super appreciate it. Weird how we can see a body of water so conveniently close, and never get around to fishing it. I think for me it's if a body of water on a commute so I'm more in travel mode. At any rate, tight lines!
Our family was literally there a couple weeks ago camping up the road. We drove by that pond several times and it was HEAVING with activity. It did look like a well developed fishing pond ... good for families etc. FYI - there was apparently some issue with the dam, or other river equipment so they were intentionally running the river really high... like borderline flood stage..... it was really blasting.
