I visited one of my Army Buddies in Metairie LA (next to New Orleans). He was a welder at Avondale shipyards. I got real Cajun cooking down there. Some years later just after Hurricane Katrina, seeing the devastation I decided the best I could do is to buy products made in New Orleans as it would be good for those people who work there to still have a job. So I started buying Zatarain's products. Not as good as made from scratch, but just as good saving on time. I usually get the Red Beans & Rice mix and then add the spices. Should look for something called, "Slap ya Mama," a very spicy seasoning. Put it on fried eggs in the morning and it'll wake you up better than strong coffee.

I had to laugh because every time you did something( like cooking in the floating tent ) I'd say that doesn't look safe and you'd look at the camera and say this isnt safe don't worry😂 The setting was gorgeous and the reflection was fantastic!!! OMG!! Hi Kenny, I am new to your channel I just can’t believe that gorgeous tent you took out on the lake. It looked like a lot of fun, the last time I went camping was August 2021 and we only drove 30 minutes from home. Our tent was a 200.00$ tent from Farm and Fleet. We were gone for 4 days. Would love to do more, but just isn’t going to happen. Love watching you and just to let you know the first video I watched was with your family and that gorgeous pup Monty. That's interesting. Pretty neat. Round here cotton mouths and copperheads might make you think twice. No putting holes in the floor. I've been in some pretty heavy winds in my Hilleberg's but never had to throw an anchor out. All fun. Take care.

That’s really cool! I would spend a night in that. And i like your drill propeller….but in water I’d use it in reverse… pull, not push, you don’t have a rudder like a boat. 🥰

The ratio of anchor line to depth of water is about 7 to 1. Scope is the descriptive word. A length of chain on the anchor is usual, to keep the anchor rode on the bottom and the pull on the anchor 'horizontal, which allows the anchor to dig into the bottom. A worst case scenario is to have your anchor 'drag' and lose your boat's position (or tent, in this case). Sleeping aboard is when the trouble could start. If the wind rises during the night and your anchor drags, you may awaken on the wrong side of the lake, a great distance from your point of origin.

I think another base, in front, with an attachment for a small removeable wind-surfing sail will be better for the bacon frying area. Tent should open rear and sides while sailing. "Rings" for paddles.

First. Very nice tent setup kenny. Very peaceful and calming lake. When you feel more confident in it, I think it would be a great tent to sleep in on the lake. Could it be used on land as a tent also? An hour long adventure with you is always a gift. God bless you. Thank you for sharing..

Looks very good and fun to do. Please also emphasize that it is good to have a trash container on board and take the trash out and leave the place - especially water - clean. ...and for a day on the water, or even longer for the night, a compost toilet makes all the difference. This float can carry it with ease. It is so beautiful out there! Let's all preserve it.

Hmm, I wonder, besides a warmer sleeping bag, what else you could do so you aren't freezing 🤔 while you sleep, maybe a cot with sleeping pad, hmmm. Maybe. I bet your kiddos will love camping overnight on the water. You should try it, Kenny. Just think of the awesome memories you'll be creating and how much fun that would be. But with the kiddos, I would do the cooking on dry land, lol, then just go to the floating tent when it's bedtime 🌙 😴 🤣 😄.
