3 people died. 1 was a disable boy who couldn't move. Another was a little girl who was stuck in her seatbelt. The third was a woman who went back into the plane to help the girl. So sad... :'(

Woah. All this years I thought this plane was having sort of a flight test and no one was onboard. Not until now.

That "oh la la", is the understatement of all-time.

Doing what the plane was not designed to do always ends well for everyone on board. Pilot was grandstanding. The Plane was not designed to impress crowds at air shows. It was designed to transport people safely from A to B then on to C and D. A truly skilled pilot would not push the envelope with souls on board. Thats my view. No old bold pilots.

1. He disabled only part of the features 2. He made it to demonstrate the capabilities of the plane 3. It wasn't a simple flight, it was a FLIGHT SHOW But still the captain was reckless deciding to change the course to a shorter runway, to make the maneuver he was trained only at high altitudes, to let the plane get that low (30ft instead of planned 100ft). And he went to jail for that.

I remember this so well. There was a big Mike Tyson fight earlier that week and it was beautiful sunny weather in England.

The strange thing is on these flight-fear-inducing-dramatic documentations that these film-cockpits never correspond to real one.

There are safer ways to tour a forest.

It seems crazy that they'd attempt that kind of flyover through a small airstrip with over 100 people on board. Madness.

I just realized after watching this that everyone in the "I am a teacher" movie is from titan. I thought that most of the people were just random people who were just doing their job and then getting filmed while madam Soot Beng was applying.

This is the airplane equivalent to wrecking your car while you were leaving the car meet

People, this is a human error. It was not the fault of the computer. The planning was already totally wrong, they planned to land at a whole different runway. Secondly the pilots put the throttles to idle and puts the angle of attack very high. They increased the throttle too late to TO/GA. Those engines need around 5 or 6 seconds to go from idle all the way up to TO/GA. You can’t expect an aircraft to go from idle to full go around power in 2 seconds or something. When the engines finally gained enough trust to climb out of the position, it was already too late. It was all the fault of the pilots and nothing was wrong with the computers. I mean the speed literally went down further that 120. Normal landing speed is around 140/145 or faster. *120 is below the speed that full flaps support* Also the computers don’t control the aircraft or whatever. People are totally not understanding fly by wire. The pilot controls the aircaft. The fly by wire system only makes it safer.

When I fly the only time I want a loss of speed and altitude is during landing.

One day planes will just have a pilot and a dog in the cabin. The dog will be trained to bite the pilot if they touch anything.

This was the famous fly-by wire, all simulations done in super record time, Airbus presentation to the public that went horribly wrong when the engines didn't spool up. Mysteriously the battered black boxes filmed at the crash scene morphed into brand new, un-scatched/ un-dented ones and revealed nothing that in the computers was wrong and that it was pilot error. The industry knew it was a French cover-up to protect the Airbus reputation and industry. It was the software operating the engines that wasn't adequately debugged.

What an idiotic crash, the first rule of doing low flybys is to keep an eye out on what's in front of you, had that been like a small hill the crash would've been even worse.
