He was 8-5 as a starting QB in 2011 then beat the Steelers in the playoffs, and was never given the helm again, based on that he should have been given a shot somewhere, but no whinning or bitterness shown by this young man, I think that speaks volumes about Tim .
Dominic Mallano just because Bill Belichick says he can't play shouldn't be the kiss of death. I'm a Patriots fan and have been my whole life but just cause Bill says it the whole NFL shouldn't agree. Obviously he can play in the NFL, we all saw it when he played for Denver and he did a good job. Maybe he just couldn't play for Belichick because he is the hardest coach to play for. I think he could've played for a few teams at the time. He just needed to find a team and a coach with the offense that suits him best and he needed to work on his arm. I think if he worked really hard on practicing his passing he could've been a really good QB. Tim was just never given a real chance to play.
Straight up, Tim Tebow is a Man!! He may not be able to throw a ball in both the NFL or MLB. But, he is fearless and does not care what other people say. As a Gator fan, thank you for all of the memories!! 🐊🐊
@@eavensokolewicz7246 Im saying they never should have given him a Football Life video. He isnt an all-time great, he didnt do anything special in the NFL. He had a half-season of OK play. If he wasnt a pretty white guy that prays a lot on the field, he wouldnt have gotten this video. A Football Life is made for all-time greats or guys that made significant achievements in the NFL. Tebow was neither.
OK, keep believing he gets the attention for his "skills" not due to being white and a good Christian. Anyone else with his stats in the Pros is labeled a BUST.
@@jimmyplenderleith9471pretty sure he kept Denver in the game vs. New England as he was getting hit every time he threw. Is he one of the greatest qbs ever…no. But, the position is constantly changing, you need to throw and be athletic. It’s the evolution of the position. He just couldn’t cut it as a franchise QB. Tebow will always be a UF legend.
Me To. I've have the Honor of Watching him Play in Person 2007-08 at the Height of his Peak at Florida Playing Against Western Carolina(which he Won the Game like 31-7 I don't remember the Exact Score but it was an Easy Win LOL) and Watching him Winning the Heisman and National Championships and Me Being a Die Hard Tebow And Florida Gators Fan This is a Personal Favorite Episode of A Football Life cause Tim Lived an Incredible Football Life I Wished he Could've Played at Least 1 Super Bowl in His Career and I would've Love to see Him Play At Maybe Tampa Bay or Miami. #TebowFan4Life!!!!
pretty awesome that they actually did a football life on Tim Tebow...considering how most mainstream media platforms try to ignore or censor conversations about faith
So censored he was signed to a broadcasting career within months of his NFL career ending. Censored so much that he was extended with provisions to allow him to chase the baseball attempt. Tebow has been anything but censored. But keep the narrative flying even if the facts disagree
@@Matt-cr4vv I never said Tebow was censored, I said mainstream media platforms censor Christian voices (Although now that I think about it he was censored since the NCAA had no problem with words on eye black until he started putting John 3:16 on his). You can have opportunities to play sports or commentary and still be censored. Look at what just happened to CJ Stroud. NBC or whatever mainstream news channel cut his entire sentence thanking Jesus from the interview. Wake up and stop letting your hatred towards God blind you.
@NaghaviSystem He didn't have a lot of shots - just like Flutie didn't. You said, "Potential to be great? You're seriously the dumbest person on the internet". Did you watch the video? Steve Young said he can be great (even clarified between good vs great). You're seriously not the smartest person on the internet.
@Shocking Isn't It? LOL, on your comment: "You're biased because of religion. If you had any football knowledge you would understand." So what does that make you then, biased because of non religion? And can you tell me who exactly I am, because you think I have zero football knowledge, yet I played elementary through college football. Come on, keyboard warrior, let me know what my name is since you "know" so much about me. Furthermore, you're going to take the opinion of some anonymous comments from a team that went 6-10? They should have focused on themselves and their own abilities rather than him.
@Shocking Isn't It? If you don't know what you're talking about, be quiet. It's that simple. You won't make yourself into a complete fool by speaking. You said, "if you actually played then you wouldn't make suck idiotic statements". I actually played. And I was good. And I understood the game and still do. The "idiotic statements" are on your end. Come on keyboard warrior. What's my name? If you don't know me, don't make stupid assumptions. Then you mention, "Nothing you can say will change that fact". You don't know what a "fact" is. What you said is an *OPINION*, not a fact. It's YOUR opinion. Stating whether someone is good or not is a subjective answer. And you have audacity to call me a clown. Those are strong words, keyboard warrior. And it's YOU that are bringing religion into sports. You pathetically think that making fun of me and using ad hominen is actually a valid form of argument. Try sticking to the topic. Tebow's playoff QB rating is significant better than Elway's. His first season as a start is significantly better than Elway's too. It's not just Elway, but his stats are better than many all-time greats, especially low seasons. In his last preseason, he was: 21-of-36 for 286 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown. Those aren't the numbers of someone that's "bad". The reason he's not in the NFL is because of NFL politics, not because of the quality of his play. As to the Jets, LOL! He had only eight passes. Why? Because the coaches played Mark Sanchez. Mark Sanchez :) I repeat, Mark Sanchez. The reason why the Jets were 6-10 is because they were LOSERS and didn't know how to win. Good players can't overcome bad coaching (or team ownership). Aaron Rogers may be a better quarterback than Tom Brady, but Brady has an excellent coach staff that surrounds him. Regarding Belichick, he probably didn't want the distraction at the time with the media frenzy that was going on around Tebow.
@mosessupposes2571 It’s hard to accept that there are people like you who are being genuine writing this comment, in a sense mocking Elways decision to sign Peyton Manning as a “bromance” and grudge against Tebow as if there was genuinely any question in the decision he made. Tim Tebow seems like an all around good dude and it’s unfortunate that he didn’t have the ability to become a high level NFL QB despite his immense passion but that’s the harsh reality when it comes to playing among the best of the best of the sport. Tebow got to play some games and they pulled off a number of miracle wins and won their division with an 8-8 record. And they pulled off a really cool upset against the Steelers and it was a cool story. But the following week when they played the patriots and got stomped into the ground like they did with basically zero offense it exposed the reality. The debate some want to pretend existed exists in nothing but hope and emotions. Tim Tebow played in 14 games that season, starting 11, and threw for 1,700 yards and completed 46% of his passes. He only completed 50% 4/14 games. That same 8-8 team with Peyton was immediately 13-3, 13-3, 12-4 and 12-4. Peyton played some of his best for three seasons, broke the yards and TD records, won an MVP, they went to two superbowls and won one. That Pats team that beat them by 35 under Tebow? They beat them in the AFC title game both years they got to the SB. The fairy tale that there was any case for Tebow to be above Peyton or that they were a better team is noble but genuinely moronic to believe.
This talk that he never got a chance has never been true. The dude got chances to perform and earn a role three more times and people refuse to accept it but he just wasn’t good. People can argue til they’re blue in the face that he never had a chance yet ignore that the guy only completed 36% of his passes in the preseason in New England. He had horrible mechanics that never got fixed, poor arm strength and zero accuracy. He didn’t make decisions quick enough, took lots of sacks, and fumbled a bunch. If he been immensely great and performing great in practice the ides that a team like the Jets wouldn’t have pivoted is a joke. He’s a good dude he just wasn’t an NFL level QB and that’s fine. People do him a disservice when they try to create false realities of how he actually performed
Regardless of how well he can or can not pass a football Tim Tebow has been and is a BEAUTIFUL LIFE. Anyone who openly shows his heart and love for Jesus Christ and makes such a IMPACT on millions in the process with such BOLDNESS that so MANY would hesitant to openly express. Tim Tebow is TRULY living a BEAUTIFUL FULFILLING LIFE.
Possibly the closest to perfect human being on this planet. I’m a Vols fan and have followed him since he was at Florida. He’s genuinely an amazing person
@@CtheDead209-zt8tj And Young kept saying for a LONG TERM career. Jackson hasn't had that as of yet. Look at the guys over the years with Jackson's skill set. I'm a friend of Tims and as a person with disabilities, he's been there for me in my darkest days, I have the blessed opportunity to have access to him personally. We text and he's just been phenomenal. I'm so grateful for a awesome friend protector and spiritual older brother whos there for me. Its a PRIVILAGE , a huge responsibility and sometimes I shake my head and wonder how the heck why was I chosen? Its a gift.
I remember John Elway said he was going to work with Tim on his mechanics in the off season after the Broncos beat the Steelers in the playoffs, then they signed Manning and threw Tim out like a used pizza box. As a long time Broncos fan I would have really loved to have seen what he could've done had Elway worked with him and the team would've given him a shot or any team give him a shot, I think he could've been successful if someone just let him have that chance and let him make his mistakes while learning and improving.
C'mon now, let's be serious. If you could have Manning who is one of the 3 best QBs to ever play the game or Tim who is a nice guy and a great athlete but just not a NFL calibre QB, you wouldn't take Manning?
@@zein9227 Take Manning AND keep Tebow, train him to replace Manning when the time came, they still haven't been able to do that. And if he didn't get the job done then release him, but I would've liked to have seen them give him a chance.
Have u ever played the QB position and had as much success as Tebow in college and the Pros ? Didn't think so. Then never to be given another chance after that Denver run ? NFL is jealous of him.
My daughter goes to NIGHT TO SHINE every year. She is excited every year for that night. Thank you Tim you are a great man. I live in Colorado so I still have my Tebow Jersey and still Ware it proudly. We still love you in Colorado.
I hate when people shit on Tebow, he may not have been an amazing QB in the NFL but he won football games, that's more than you can say about most NFL QB's
In some ways I think much of what people think of Tebow is a direct reflection of our present day society. To his naysayers he is an easy villain or target because of his faith in God, his All-American persona and never quit mentality. So many of these naysayers either lost their faith, never had it or never had the faith to believe in themselves and so when they see Tebow they feel scorn or immediate hostility. Tebow's compass needle always points in one direction whereas theirs spins like a top. In the end though, Tebow accomplished what few ever will. There can be no doubt that his faith has healed many a soul and that accomplishment alone far outweighs any NFL accolades he would ever want to have.
greg j Mark Sanchez went to Indianapolis, beat Payton Manning. Then went to New England, and beat Tom Brady. That's an accomplishment we will never see again. Where's Mark Sanchez's football life? To put Tim Tebow in the same group as Joe Montana, Emit Smith, Barry Sanders, etc is an insult. There are plenty of fantastic college players that were bad pros like Tim Tebow and they aren't getting a football life. He couldn't take the job away from but fumble Mark Sanchez, and Bill Belichick a man who is known for getting the most out of players viewed as "bad" said Tim Tebow can't play quarterback in the NFL.
I love how most folks who say this about Tebow have a wildly different opinion on Kaepernick, who is better in literally every statistical category, and was even a superbowl QB.
Tebow is sadly one of the most tragic stories of a football player I have ever seen. People can say all they want he wasn't a good QB and he sucked at throwing, but that doesn't change the fact this guy was a pure football player, a leader and had the heart of a champion. The fact the NFL blackballed him because he wasn't a conventional QB and man of faith was completely despicable on their part. He was never given a real chance to prove himself and it's just sad because I think he could have been a great football player if some team would have just believed in him and harnessed the talents he did posses. He was just a late bloomer that no one would be patient enough to work with. That and they wouldn't deal with the fact fans and the media loved him like crazy either. Well, that wasn't his fault. He didn't ask for that attention. They thrusted it upon him. If there is one thing Tebow did during his NFL career that I didn't agree with is the fact he was determined to play QB and no other position. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have seen him succeed and become a really good NFL caliber QB, but I just don't think he had all the skills to pull it off. He was too inconsistent at it. So, I think if he had swallowed his pride and played maybe FB or TE, I think he would have excelled at it. He's built like a lineman, so I think he would have been an elite FB/TE. Heck, I bet he could have been as good as Mike Alsott if he chose to put his heart into that kind of role. But yea, that's just my take on this guy. If you don't agree, then fine, don't, but keep any rude comments anyone might have to yourself. I don't mind people giving another opinion about it if they want, but unless it's a mature one, don't bother because I won't even look at it.
I remember seeing a feature on Tebow where they were talking about him doing a QB bootcamp in the summer to alter his mechanics. Whatever happened after that? The clips in this vid showing Tebow looking so awkward in the pocket make it hard to see how he could become an NFL QB without a lot of well coached reps in the off season. Tebow looked pretty good and proved he was a winner in Denver. Too bad the NFL doesn't have the time to teach kids the basics they should have learned in college.
I don't think he was black balled. He should've went to the Jaguars over the Jets. Mark Sanchez is garbage n he could've played but Rex Ryan was attached at the hip to Sanchez. And Sanchez is fragile he couldn't handle Tebow being around so Ryan didn't want to play Tebow. Tebow's agent saw dollar signs and got him to go to NY.
Before Tebow came to Denver we didn't have anything to cheer for anymore since the last Superbowl team and when he showed up he brought exciment back and pride it was fun to watch football games again he never gave up the message he was giving all of us was strong of faith brought the milehigh magic back to Denver made everyone believe that we can overcome adversity and win football games when I went to watch the Jets vs Broncos on a Thursday night game in Denver the Fan's were loud i remember before the last drive after the Jets score and it was 5 mins left Broncos had the ball inside the 10 yard line a kid that was in front of me said it's over we are done with his head down I look at him and said nope we are not done not yet just watch it's TEBOW TIME a comeback to score for the win the people went crazy it was so loud it was electrifying you can feel it everyone shouting TEBOW TEBOW the kid turns back and and hugs me and we start jumping up and down it was so amazing man something I'll never forget we love you Tebow #TEBOWFOREVER #TEBOWTIME
They did - Tebow had the choice whether he wanted to go to the Jets or the Jaguars. He chose the Jets, and Jaguars did not want him after he had turned his "home team" down. Tebow's search for the best platform for his preaching destroyed his NFL career.
@NaghaviSystem Well of first round QBs drafted since 2010 only Patrick Mahomes and Andrew Luck has achieved more in the first two seasons, and only Luck took over the worst team in Football as well.
@@jobdoneright5934 Let me guess that you do not follow the Broncos, and you did not know what he actually did on the football field, and that you either disagrees with his views or think a running QB of his skin color is a racial slur. Lets hear about his completion percentage, and not that he is the fastest QB to reach 6 4Q/OT comeback wins, not that he holds multiple NFL passing records, not that he set Broncos and NFL records in his first 4 games... First game - Longest rush by Broncos QB 2nd game - largest comeback, and most passing yards by a rookie QB in Broncos history 3rd game - first QB in NFL history to run for a TD and pass for a TD in each of his first three starts 4th game - largest comeback within 3 minutes in NFL history, and matching Elway's total of 14+ point comebacks over his 16 seasons

God is faithful I personally think yes he has everything it takes but God was preserving him for something greater something something more than Tim could ever ask think or think of
Well said. ☺️ People knock Tim Tebow for his faith and I think it's ridiculous. He's a man of GOD and he's living it. People knock him because they're jealous. Period. God bless. 🙏❤️🙏
Spent 20 years working children services. Saw people who lived an immoral lifestyle. Saw people who lost their children. How you live matters. He is a winner. I wish the Bengals had taken him. Winner. Winner. Winner.
That's because the world is moving past complete and utter fallacy, and more people are moving towards the realization that in order to accomplish positive progression, we don't need imaginary friends.
Flutie would have a better chance in the NFL now a days. With short guys like brees and Wilson (although taller than flutie) I think he could have been a franchise qb
Flutie was a franchise qb but not for very long. Tebow is like a lot of NFL players who don't understand that they need to adapt and improve their skills. Hard to believe that Tebow could get through college as a big time QB and have such a crappy looking footwork and throwing motion as the vid showed of him with the Jets.
@@dank1j he played with Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez, Riley Cooper, David Nelson, Lewis Murphy, Chris Rainey, both Pouncey twins up front. Their defense was also stacked
A long last talent. I miss Tebow, I remember dressing up as him for the 2011 halloween. He still inspires me to this day. Even though our faiths completely conflict even (i am of paganistic beliefs and dont believe in organized religion or any particular god.) Regardless of faith, race, family etc, you can learn something from every human and you should always strive to show love to others and the earth. i love tebows message and find his faith inspiring none the less 💯
Kaepernick was, too. Let's be real here. You might not like the guy, or what he's done, or what he's said, but he was undeniably a starting caliber quarterback.
@@MCLogikILL How does completion percentage correlate to win rate? Tebow led the NFL in yards per completion, and Tebow/Thomas led the league in yards in December 2011. Tebow was top 5 in completion percentage over 20 yards!
One of them has an 9-7 record as a starter the other has a 28-30, including a 3-16 record in his last two years as a starter. I'll be happy to let you decide who was truly blackballed.
Sideshow Bob Kaperdick is a shit QB. Tim wasn’t the best but he showed how you should act on and off the field. He was a great role model for youngsters And Adults everywhere. That’s what’s important and that’s what he enjoyed most was the fans who loved him for who he was and not for what he wasn’t. He’s a great athlete who could play any sport. He’s playing in the MLB right now and he’s living life. I’d rather have Tebow’s spirit on the field than any other QBs.
When you look at Tebow today you have to wonder would he have been more successful in today’s football. Especially with guys like Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes even taysom Hill
The young man displayed his Standard and it is an embarrassment that people mocked him in such a way. They all should be ashamed of that. All those so called fans you all just mocked him. His standard was the love he has for God ans trust as well, not being ashamed of his love and faith in God.
No question he has a lot of positive attributes. Playing QB at a NFL level was not one of them. Sure he had his moments...but so did even guys like Ryan Leaf. Overall body of work not that good.
@@birdmantd Tebow's body of work was that he turned around the team with the worst record in the NFL, that had not produce consecutive wins for two years prior, knocked out a 6 game winning streak where he had the lowest turnover percentage in the NFL and produced a long string of Broncos & NFL records... Only Andrew Luck and Jarred Goff have made similar turnarounds in the past decade, and they both had non strike off seasons and competent coaches. Only 3 QBs have won with John Fox, who was given credit for his work, though he was a lump that held both Tebow and Manning back. Tebow was not as good as Peyton Manning nor Tom Brady and that is the knock people use, plus completion percentage. Tebow was historically great in college, and his short tenure with the Broncos produced the best results ever by any QB drafted by the Broncos!
A great human being? Why? Because he's a Jesus freak? Because he's so public about having an imaginary friend? Because he makes a big show about praying in public? You do know that's against the BuyBull, right? Matthew 6:5?
He was alright but I wish we could've seen him really get a shot to see how he would turn out. Its insane that he's already out of the league and can't even win a third string backup job.
80% of the World's population admits to believing in God, yet Tebow is different? I sat 4th row at Mile High, watching all those 4th quarter wins. We KNEW we would win those games-so did Tebow and the other defenses. He is a winner, should have had a better shot playing pro football.
@NaghaviSystem lol.... Sad.... I love how some youtube comment scrub says that a professional athlete sucks. You suck at life sir.... ohh and its not curt warner its Kurt Warner.
The most reluctant football player who doesn't want to fit in with the regular stupidity of society. Unless it's about religion and the right way to live life. I feel so sorry for a decent human being like Tim. He's a good honest and decent guy.
Tim should have gotten a few more chances to let him really blossom an give all his hard work and take the things he learned with him. He wasnt able to learn an develop
2:28 Tim Tebow is not polarizing...people's views on Jesus Christ is polarizing. Its people's hatred. Also...man I LOVE all the Flutie highlights. As a fellow 5'9"`~5'10" guy I'm a HUGE Flutie fan.
RedAlertSteve _ They need a minor league. Yes he could've developed at the pro level but there's no patience especially for players that don't fit the norm.
This is why I hope the reborn XFL and AAFL become successful on some level. Guys like Tebow and Flutie lose their chances to play even when they succeed. How in the world do you pull Flutie for Rob Johnson and when Tebow wins against the Steelers in the playoffs, he still loses his job? Should've work with his mechanics and learn to play with him because you don't get players like him often, guys that offer leadership, a will to win and one of the biggest hearts in the game. That's why the NFL is slowly becoming a joke, especially with the recent rules of roughing the passer.
Unfortunately, there is no hope for a football career anymore. Although his football career is over, its sports playing career is far from it. The Tebow story is STILL being written. But it is very probably that he will be in the MLB majors for 2019 and even realistic that he could play in the World Series! I do strongly believe that it is possible he could be MVP of the world Series. save this post.
Clifford Bodine lmaaaooo!!! Yea ok dumbass...so long as we have the college system as popular as it is...the NFL will always be on top supported by college football. Yhe ratings may drop some years but thats simply bcuz there are way more ways to watch the games and ppl usually watch the games together at someone's house and whatnot.
David Santo y? Bcuz the suits arent making the best decisions?? That doesnt mean the sport isnt legit. Its by far the most difficult sport to play and year after year you see new talent become stars bcuz of how well theyre playing. Youre really dumb to be questioning its legitimacy
for Tim Tebow its a Football life there's sure a lot of Doug Flutie. Hes such a great role model. I hope we don't get a Cosby scandal down the line with him.
That was kinda deep when Kurt said not only be able to handle the negativity but also the abundance of positivity. Id like to add the bible says God doesnt put more on your plate than you can handle if you do things through Christ which is what theyre talking about. G2G 🙌 AMEN 🙏
Tebow's career was pure absolute luck from him getting a starting job to the slant route to thomas for the game winning touchdown. Every crazy moment he did were almost impossible and probably the most unlikely outcome you would expect from a horrible quarterback who can't throw. It was really fun to watch though
Jimmie Peters yea its hard to make the nfl no shit. But it took a terribke coach to draft him and countless ridiculous shit for him to win like that bears rb who rab out of bounds on 3rd fucking down. Thomas to stiff arm the steekers defender on a very quick throw just actually go back abd watch the games tebow won. The games were wacky as hell. Tebows career was amazingly ridiculous and entertaining
The reason Thomas scored on such a simple play is because the Steelers had everybody in the franchise including the cheerleaders up on the LOS trying to stop the read-O. Timmy changed the pro playbook. If it wasn't for what Tebow did a player like Deshaun Watson would be struggling in the NFL b/c they would want him to stand still and throw 40 times a game and anyone who suggested any Clemson style plays would be laughed at. Timmy threw a good deep ball too and had a lot of patience, those were also key factors in his "wacky" wins. Did he have the consistent accuracy on short throws that other starters did? No. But I don't understand how anyone can watch highlights of him nailing one home-run pass after another and say he was horrible and couldn't throw a pass. The only reason for those extreme opinions is that fans have been trained to be binary thinkers and trash-talkers, so everyone who isn't #1 at a given skill "sucks." I would love to suck at sports like Tim Tebow.
Makai Brown TIM TEBOW MADE IT FARTHER WITH THE BRONCOS THEN PEYTON DID THEN GOT LET GO FOR PEYTON PEYTON DIDNT MAKE IT PAST FORST ROUND NEXT YEAR HE WENT ALLTHE WAY
