On March 22, 2024 the Pandemic Center hosted a webinar titled From Outbreak to Endurance: A Four-Year Journey Through the Covid-19 Pandemic and Toward Sustainable Health Security.
This webinar marks the anniversary of the day the World Health Organization assessed that COVID-19 could be considered a global pandemic. Four years later, public health experts who have led response and recovery efforts will join this webinar to discuss pandemic preparedness at the time of the outbreak, the work that’s been done to bolster response since, and what needs to be done before the next pandemic.
This event was hosted by Jennifer Nuzzo, DrPH, Professor of Epidemiology and Director of the Pandemic Center. The panel was comprised of experts in this field:
Seth Berkley, MD, Global Health Expert and Senior Adviser to the Pandemic Center
Beth Cameron, PhD, Professor of the Practice and Senior Adviser to the Pandemic Center
Craig Spencer, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of the Practice of Health Services, Policy and Practice
This webinar is part of the Pandemics & Society series, which focuses on current pandemic threats and response systems as well as how to build preparedness for the future.
