I use a 48”high x 12’ utility fence. Covered in two layers of burlap. Use thin camo rope as stubble straps; zippy tie every 12”, spaced 12” high. I use electric fence posts to stake it into the ground at an angle (also attached to the wire fence with zippy ties, weave it through the burlap). Rolls out and is pre-brushed with willow and cattail. Each panel sets up in less than a minute with 2 people and just rolls up after the hunt. The metal utility fence makes it rigid. 2 panels makes about a 10’ wide blind (it’s an oval setup). Super cheap too, very effective and can be modular. 2 panels does 3 ppl and a dog comfortably. 4 panels does 6 people and 2 dogs.
I personally like the Layout best, its more mobile if you have to move spots on your hunt. However A frames do have there place but for me and the guys layouts work fine, maybe one day we'll try the A frame again. Great video!
Just dropped the load on a full tangle free panel blind setup hunted out of one last year and it was a ton better than laying on the ground especially when you are an aging hunter.
Any tips on grassing up layouts? I have the fake stuff on there but hunting hay fields it still sticks out and definitely needs some natural veg on it.
Take the fake stuff off. Always use what’s around you. I really take my time to stubble in my layout. If you have access to a drone use that above your blind to really see how much it takes to blend in. Good luck this season.
