I realise this video was at least 9 months ago but I have been catching up on your and Stephanie’s channel. You are one of the most talented people I have ever come across. You are gifted and creative with many many skills and a very special soul. Before watching this I was telling my Mum all about you and how much I admired you. The world is better having people like you in it. Glad all Is ok now and wish you all the best.
I'm a nurse and ANY symptom of a stoke is life or death. You chose to be wise by getting medical care immediately. You are loved by your family and every person that consistently watches your videos. Yes, I am new here as of July 7th 2023, but the past four days I have sat here and binged watched your videos from the VERY FIRST ONE YOU PUT OUT. You're talented artist and musician. You are strong, and have the mind set to help others'. Thank you for that. Keep fighting, keep producing videos. You may never see this comment but you are worthy. Keep your sense of humor and your laugh!
Michael, you are most certainly NOT a failure--you are a bright and multi-talented young man. I am glad that you are figuring yourself out and getting the help you need. Your recent episode that took you to the hospital hit home with me. Please get checked for myocarditis and pericarditis. We lost a family member to a "treatment" that was much worse than the disease. Sadly, it is happening to more young men.
It really hurt my heart to hear you say you think you are failure! YOUR NOT! You are very talented man who has a lot to offer this world and your brave for sharing your story! A lot of people fail in life there has to be failures in order to be successes. There would be nothing in this world if no one never tried! Thomas Edison wrote " I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work! Thanks for sharing your story Michael.
Michael, we have been with you since day one of your channel. You are creative, funny, hardworking, artistic, practical and an absolute joy to watch. We would never get frustrated about the frequency of videos. We can’t imagine the pressure it must create to post regular footage. We are happy with whatever and whenever you post. We love the variety, the honesty and the journey you have taken us on. Keep being you (whatever your diagnosis, you are still the Michael who has all the qualities we listed above), keep well and we will remain very happy followers of your channel. Sending love from UK 🇬🇧
I am so glad you got the help you so desperately needed. My grandson has adhd and he has had a very difficult time because most people don’t understand it. He is doing fantastic now has wonderful job and is doing fantastic.
I am recovering from breast cancer. You have touched my heart many times. I saw a few of your videos. Then I had to start watching from the beginning and now I am up to Jan 27, 2022.
Michael, I was also diagnosed with ADD as an adult, in my forties in fact, and like you, I finally understood my entire life. I tried Ritalin, but did not like the ups and downs. I then tried Vyvanse, and it was a miracle. No ups and downs, just the ability to focus and get things done. I remember the second day I was on Vyvanse, it hit me all at once that how I felt and how I was functioning was how most people felt every day of their lives. What people don't understand about Attention Deficit Disorder is that it is NOT a deficit of attention. It's a deficit of focus. An inability to narrow the beam of your attention to just one thing instead of the dozens of things that catch our attention every minute of every day. D o not say that you failed at everything. It isn't true. You have learned to do so many different things, and have so many talents and accomplishments. I am happy you've gotten a proper diagnosis, and can't wait to see what you accomplish. I do recommend you pursue therapy, however, because battling your way to and through adulthood with undiagnosed ADD gives us a lot of wrong perceptions of ourselves. There are also many 'tricks' that can help you deal with the day-to-day issues of living a productive life with ADD. Wishing you the best going forward. Oh, and when this vid first started, I thought immediately, "Wow! What's Michael been doing? His skin looks wonderful!" Congratulations on making it a whole month without smoking!
Glad that you okay and it's nice to see you back. Hopefully now with your diagnosis you can start to understand yourself. I work with children in the autistic spectrum and they learn new things everyday, so fine yourself time to process things. You haven't called at things, they are your learning stones. Keep positive and remember everyday is a new day.😊
I would be curious, Michael, to know which type of doctor diagnosed you as having ADHD and how it was decided that Ritalin was the best solution for you. Was it your GP or a specialist? Thanks in advance. I hope you have a wonderful day. :)
Michael we all love you unconditionally. Your talent sense of humour vulnerability and sweet heart are very much in tact and we will never abandon you no matter what. Much love Michael.
Dear Michael, I am so happy that you got professional help and got a proper diagnosis. It’s a massive stepping stone. You are going to be alright, Darling. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself. There still will be ups and downs, sometimes you will “go back to your old ways” and then you will get out of it again but you will be alright. Take your time to get to know yourself and to start liking yourself. Discover all the positive sides of ADHD. It probably caused you lots of misery in your life but also it’s likely that it is responsible for your amazing creativity and other talents. You have so much to give, Micheal and you can turn things around. Please do not beat yourself up, if you have some setbacks. Learn and move forward. Congratulations on quitting to smoke. It’s a massive step towards taking care of yourself. This is going to be an amazing year for you, Michael. Good luck!
Michael, you are a fine fine person!! Very courageous to share that with us, and educate us. Never ever criticize yourself, I always say, because there are a million people out there who will do it for you. Hold on to your amazing qualities! 🥳🥳🥳
Michael so happy to see you back and you are problem solving and growing. I feel you are brave to allow yourself to be vulnerable to everyone . We need more people like you in the world. You are human and so lovely. I hope this period of your life helps you to understand how strong you are and certainly not a failure because you have had so many jobs and experiences, each one has taught you something different but just were not the right fit. We love seeing you and your blog's and I know I will support you no matter what state of mind you are in because your honesty is a breath of fresh air.
It's such a joy Michael to see you back, your honesty and sincerity shines through the camera. People who have followed you from the start know you are such a talented gifted young man who has so much to share with the world. Can't wait 🤞😘
It was wonderful to see you working on the organ. We miss you Michael on your channel. I would love to see your recent projects and would love to see a greenhouse update. It's fun to check in with you once in a while even if you don't want to do videos regularly. Michael, you are an extremely talented individual; look at your gift with art and piano is no small task either. Very few people can handle schools seat time and book time method especially talented people like you.
We have missed you so much! You absolutely can post whatever you want even of it’s not Cottage or Chateau related. I am sooooo proud you’ve stopped smoking! BETTER LATE THAN NEVER🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good idea to really quit smoking because it is bad not only for the lungs but your circulation and heart. Hopefully that medical event was a passing one and your body will get used to the new medicine you are taking. To my knowledge it takes a good 30 days to really feel the full effects of it. Glad to see you back. Thank you for sharing your personal story.
Well done for sharing Michael 👏 my wife and I have watched you from your 1st vlog and we just admire you so much you clever talented man and wish you all the happiness you wish for yourself 👍
We all have things we repeatedly say without being aware that we are saying a particular word. The common one these days is “like”. Your word is “basically “.
From that very first episode to todays I have followed you through highs and lows. We all knew you’d be back, we all need a break every now and again and our own personal health and well-being is most important of all. Great to have you back, can’t wait to see you again !
An genuine and enlightening video! So glad that you have found the piece of the puzzle that makes you whole! Wishing you great new adventures and accomplishments in your life!
Wonderful update. Just be you, the right people who are your tribe will continue watching. Never saw you as a failure and in all your many projects you have managed to complete many, like the room you painted for Steph. And you are a good person and friend which is the most important. We should all measure 'success' as such, living authentically and being the best person you can and growing, not just career and finance.
Hi there Michael Im so pleased that you have had a diagnosis and that you can get on track again. So upset that you had a mishap with the medication/health scare/ but so pleased you arre ok now !!! the mystery of the human body!!! You have so much talent and skill in everything you do and im sure that with the continued support of your family and loved ones you will be better than ever!!!!
Michael before you said you've stopped smoking I straight away noticed how your skin looked great thinking is it the light and then you say you have stopped smoking ,good for you you'll find you'll have more energy better skin and best of all more money in your pocket ,good for you and its great to see you back.
Many of us stuck by you if nothing else for your bright blue eyes 😂 You are bloody beautiful! Jokes aside, I feel the same way so many creative ideas in my head that never bear fruit as I get distracted left, right and centre. I'm glad you are well. Having the cottage so empty really shows how beautifully that deep green and light wood go together. ❤️
Good to have you back!!! Never forget, you are a wonderful human being that has a lot to give to others. Take care of yourself and take the time you need to get healthy. Love your collection of Spode!!❤️
Congratulations Michael your Amazing just to let you know I quit smoking a very long time ago be 3 1/2 years now...before I was 7 years no smoking I am so Proud of You Michael thank you for sharing this.. Continual Prayers and Praying for You Michael 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 God’s Blessings Shalom Peace and Agape Love 💛🧡❤️🌸🌺🌹🕊✝️🔥
Good on you Michael for sharing. We don’t all have an easy life due to circumstances beyond our control. You have been missed. We love you and can’t wait to continue to share your journey. Cheers 🥰🤗❤️
You have gifted intelligence in the areas that interest you. Not only can you play piano, you write music, memorized it, and even tune pianos and even have your own tuning equipment! Not only do you know everything about AGA cookers, you rebuilt one after tracking down parts from all over the world. Just in piano and AGA, you have shown a deep dive of attention and tremendous persistence. Then there’s your drawing and painting skills, trompe l'oeil, and your deep historic knowledge of topics like Spode and Beatrix Potter, and many others you mention here and there. Now, how to earn income from those talents. Could you be an authenticator for an auction house? Shame on the education system that punished you for not fitting into its ‘book learnin’’ mold. Your kind of creative mind is rare, valuable, and what brings joy to our world. You are one of my favorite people. The world is better with you in it, and you can’t say that about most of those who fit the box and never had detention! Sending gobs of love for your next chapter…
When you get right down to it, all that really matters is that you're a kind human being. And you are! Hang in there and glad you're feeling better! 2022 is going to be a wonderful year!
I also struggle with a lot of the same symptoms you are talking about. I always just assumed it was a depressive phase that would eventually work itself out as time went on, and things in my life straightened out a bit. But then as time went on, I noticed myself moving in sort of a loop that I felt was out of my control. Now, sitting here, listening to what you're going through, I may need to revisit the actual cause of my frustration, so thank you for sharing and allowing that insight into my life. Just know you aren't alone in this, you aren't a burden or lazy, you aren't what shitty people on youtube comments sections say. You bring a little light into our world, and that is more than enough. Thanks for all you do, and we're happy to see you back.
You might also want to get screened for bipolar disorder. As a child I was diagnosed as being hyperactive. I was given coffee before school and at school. And it does make me sleepy. But my problem isn’t ADD or ADHD. During the bipolar screening I felt like it described my entire life. The medication made me feel like a world of different. There are 2 types of bipolar disorder. Only one of them makes you do outrageous things. One of them makes you have longer and deeper bouts of depression with euphoria and impulsivity less high and sustained. Quicker cycling. I’m lucky it was finally diagnosed in my 50s. Hang in there!
I'm glad you went to the hospital to get checked out. When something happens like what you experienced it would have been stupid not to go in to make sure it isn't a stroke or an embolism or anything bad like that. I'm awfully relieved that you are okay. I'm also glad that you are trying to find out whether or not you have ADHD. I know so many people who have had their lives explained by medical diagnoses later on. Someone I knew discovered that she was bi-polar and it explained so much to her about what she had been going through for ages. I found out that I have DID (dissociative identity disorder) at age 31 and I tried to deny it to myself but after a while it was just obvious that it was true. I then went on to have years of therapy and am now happily living a quiet and stable life. You may not think of yourself as a success but I do. You have done some really amazing things and are a very talented man. Don't sell yourself short. Love ya tons.
God bless you for. O I got out in this manner. I’m a very old lady and not u til now that the topic is out and about to educate us am I able to realize “me”!,! And now I see my children that have trouble with emotions and am trying to educate them too❤️
We're happy you're back. We love watching you and your antics. It's 20 minutes of our day to watch what looks like a wonderful life. We get our fix by seeing you. Thank you.
Dear Michael, thank you for your brave and hopeful vlog today. ❤️I am in my 50’s and ONLY NOW have realized I have ADD. My daughter has been studying social work and in her course of study - in the psychology part of it- realized that when they discussed adult ADD, it perfectly described me! After she called me to discuss this possibility, I was resistant to this amateur diagnosis at first but upon researching it, it describes me so much and explains SO MUCH! I wish you ALL the best in your journey.
Michael, thank you so much for sharing this life changing and very personal news with us. You look fantastic and seem more focused and less frantic than you have been for a long time. Good luck in all your endeavours. 🙏🏻❤️
You look lighter, happier, with more zest. There's a noticeable difference in your demeanour from your last video, this one is more positive and hopeful. What a relief it must be for you finally getting answers. Now you can really start getting to know yourself and liking who you are. May the quality of your life always be improving Michael, you deserve only the best. 🥰
Michael, you look clear eyed and ready to get on with your life. Best wishes for a smooth transition to the new you! I think "life" is all about starting over, and over.... Happy to hear that your hospital stay was not critical. We are all rooting for you!
It's good to see you back - you look great. Sharing your life with a couple hundred thousand strangers can be overwhelming, but we watch because we care and are interested in your life in rural France and your projects. It's real and genuine.
Michael, Will always support you, You are soo Talented, Artistic and Intelligent.. Don’t beat yourself up, Keep up your Vitamins and minerals.. Sooo happy you have kicked SMOKING!!! AND you are Well and on The Road to Feeling more Positive about Life! Can’t wait to see your NEW fabric Painting and Furniture Collections.. Sooo glad you all OK..!!
So glad you discovered this. I was diagnosed at 37 years old. I'm 52 now. ADHD is often missed in girls and wasn't even a diagnosis when I was a kid. The meds will really help. It will feel like a new beginning.
Thank you Michael for sharing your ups and your downs. Mental health is extremly important, more now than ever i think. To be able to talk about it openly is realy what makes a difference. Hope to see you enjoying the work you do😊😊
Thank you for sharing Michael! We care, that’s why we want to know. Sorry for the invasion. Hope that you feel better soon and the doctors can figure out what’s wrong. Much love and many hugs, keri💜
Sending lots of love your way!! So proud of you for no longer smoking! As a nurse mom I’m sure your mom is so very happy!! Glad you are sorting out your mental health needs as well. Our mental well being is just as important as our physical and they are so very connected! So happy to see your smiling face! Keep taking care and know that we all love seeing what you are up to! Thanks for sharing such an important personal story! I know you have helped someone more than you know! ❤️❤️
So glad to see you back Michael. I have always been very impressed with your multiple skills. You are a wonderful pianist and composer, so creative, and you seem to know so much about gardening and many other of your interests. Your personality is so engaging and I look forward to following you in your fresh start. Best wishes.
Congrats on being smoke free for a month. While I've never smoked, I've seen loved ones struggle with it for years. Thank you for sharing your diagnosis. You described a lot of the problems I've had over the years, but never talked to anyone about them. Someone suggested I was manic depressive, but that never really fit. Anyway, I'm glad you're well. Thanks again.
Makes me so sad to hear that you were made to feel like you were stupid or a failure. You are so kind and sweet and so talented. You are able to do so many things and your artistry is amazing. I'm so glad that you are finding things and ways to help you hope it keeps getting better!!
