It looks so much healthier. I gave my daughter a good trim in June. Took off about 4 inches and this made detangling easier much easier and gave her hair new life. Health over length.

Your hair still looks very thick and beautiful after the cut. All you have to do is keep up the maintenance and it no time it will be back down your back again. Stay positive and keep calm to reduce any stress affecting your patches at the back. Have a wonderful weekend.

There's nothing like a good trim! I've learned over the course of my 16/17 natural hair journey that the more consistent you are with trims the better chance you have at retaining length. I would be afraid to trim my hair uaing this method because I wpuld be concerned with the final shape. Now that I think about it, I dont even trim for shape (as evident by my hair trim video on my channel.) I just trim tiny section by section with little emphasis on shape at this length but when it was shorter I had to keep it in mind. Btw, I've been wanting to try one of your styles but it's so hard to decide with all of your options!

Thanks for sharing, aspects like these on the natural hair journey are much needed. Real and raw, life happens, and like life we trim off the old parts of us we no longer need we get back up and move forward. Your hair is still beautiful as always. Hiiii 👋🏼👋🏼 princess
