Hey Leslie!👋 Your projects are all lovely and fit you well! You always inspire me to make and try new things. Thank you for your beautiful free patterns. I've made the butterfly blanket and the giftees love it! I appreciate you taking the time to share this content. Until next time, take care!🤗
Awe! YAY! SO glad you are spreading some butterfly love out into the world! Thank you for your kind words and for visiting this space! Happy knitting friend! xx
Leslie you and I have the same style and your knits so inspire me. I realized too I just don't wear colors. Black, Grey, Cream, Camel, and Beige are all me! I swear all my knits are cream practically!
I am awed at your rate of production and totally in tune with your aesthetic. Your creations are beautiful, I would call them minimalistic chic or classic understatements that make a personal statement. Best wishes for this next year and happy knitting.
Hello, i do love your knitting projects, such gorgeous knits, and great colour choices for you, always pleasant to listen to as well, happy new year, kindest regards pamela hall
Love your sweaters!! I have now knit enough sweaters to know what I like and wear and am focusing on that and trying not to be distracted by the bright and shiny things.
LOVE your style Leslie, I am working on "the coziest cocoon cardigan " right now. I just finished the "Storm Sweater" by Linka Neumann and wouldn't ya know it we are getting a snow storm today here in Atlantic Canada...good timing😂 5doodles on Ravelry. 🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
After I watched this and commented to my daughter about the Friend to Friend shrug, she purchased the pattern as a little surprise for me yesterday! I am looking forward to working this piece!
I enjoyed seeing your 2023 knits. I think I need to be more intentional with my color choices as well as patterns because I have too many knits that I don't wear for one reason or another. It's so hard when you see all the new things and they look so good but with limited knitting time I really need to be more intentional. Looking forward to seeing your podcasts in 2024.
Hi Sharon! Oh, i hear ya! Before I purchase yarn I really look at it and envision it in my closet. And the same for the pattern. I ask myself how I will wear it and if the style is right for me. It's a life long practice for sure! Thanks for visiting friend! xx
Beautiful sweaters Leslie, loved them all! Can't wait to try your hot water bottle cover, first need to get a hot water bottle. What size is the bottle so I can get the right size? Happy New Year! 🤗
Thank you for creating the Friend to Friend pattern, I purchased it in Dec and have already made one. A fav over the pj's in the morning 😊 Happy New Year!
Hi Leslie. Welcome to 2024. I was so lucky to have my Mum here with me for 4 weeks over the holiday season. She is from interstate so I made 3, yep Three😂, Friend2Friends for my Mum to take back to my sisters and my niece. And I made one for myself out of the leftover. I am currently working on the Monday Sweater (love it!!) and have a Ranunculus queued up next (I think). 😊
Love it, your style is always so inspiring 💕 I think I have finally knit enough fun things- oooh look pretty, ooh look fun - but have now given a lot away 😳 and will now knit what I will truly wear, well that’s the plan anyway 🙄
Such a lovely sweater review! I’m going to look at some of your sweaters on Ravelry, surely I’ve added them to my queue already! I’ve noticed my tastes change…probably because of Pattern Overload! Sooo many I want to make, yes, but finding the Perfect Yarn takes a while. Grateful that you explain yarn/s used & your thoughts on them. Even though a sweater is “basic”, yarn changes the whole look & feel, right?! Happy Knitting in 2024 to you!
Beautiful makes! You definitely have a colour theme going LOL. I had to frog a project three times, because I thought i knew the pattern. Good advice...read it first! Happy New Year. I love watching you for inspiration. Rosie
Omg, so this is absolutely ridiculous to admit but this was the first of your podcasts I’ve ever seen! Haha I met you at Cake-a-palooza bc my partner-in-crime Jackie clearly has her finger on the pulse and was already totally clued into your amazingness and went straight to you with me in tow. Haha and I was like, “who is this gorgeous being standing in front of me? And how have I never come across her?” And yet, it still took me months to watch bc I’ve been so far behind on RU-vid. But no more, Leslie, bc I am absolutely smitten, and I had to stop and check Rav after you showed pretty much every sweater here bc I need them ALLLLL! Massively long queue now and I’m sooooo inspired! Thank you!!!
hahaha! You are just the cutest! And completely darling! You put a giant smile on my face! I absolutely loved meeting YOU at Cake! Love watching you and Jackie and can't wait to catch up! 😍🤩💜 Hugs friend! xx
Love all you made! You’ve inspired me so much. I think one of my 2024 knitting projects will be Steven West Sock series. I am also thinking the Field Sweater and Lulu vest pullover.
Thanks for the review of your favourite knits this year. I am currently finishing the Fleur shawl by Espace Tricot and getting ready to knit a vest for my brother, who is turning 80 later this month at a club in Vancouver, BC -Google The Carnival Band and you can see Ross playing with his sons. He also plays in a jazz band (alto sax). I am thinking cables and cardigan style in blue but still can’t decide on the pattern. The yarn arrives any day-and then I will have to knit like a fiend to get it done before I travel to the coast (from the BC interior) for the celebrations. He is very knit worthy.
Thanks for reviewing your knits. This weekend I plan on finishing my Rocket Tee DK. I’m working on a Lightweight Hipster shawl for my granddaughter and The Cozy Kniiter Advent Sock using the Heel -Toe-Do-Si-Do pattern.
Thanks Leslie loved reviewing your knits. Have you knit Petite Knits Copenhagen Cardigan or Cumulus sweater? Classic lines you might like. Lento has been on my list as well. I’m still puzzling over fit. I think we’re a similar size. I’ve tended to knit too roomy. I’m getting better at finding my best numbers. Raglan depth is a challenge I’d like to master this year. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Leslie! I loved your walking & knitting montage. Also your 2023 knits are beautiful! I love your style. What is the white tee you have under your sweaters? It is the perfect neck coverage for sweaters without being a full turtle. Thanks.
That was so much fun!! Thank you for putting together these videos, I know it's not as easy and quick as it looks, but they are so enjoyable and I really do feel like I've had a visit with a knitting friend!
Love watching your videos Could you please do a video on beginner sweaters. I listen with intent to your advice on your knits. Easiest pattern to read and follow is my main concern 🤦♀️ Thanks again 🙏🏻 I have made 3 of your friend - friend love them
Awe! SO happy you have made the Friend to Friends! Yes... I will try to remember to mention sweaters I think are beginner friendly! Thanks always for visiting with me Gail. xx, leslie
Happy New Year. What a spectacular collection of sweaters you knit in 2023. Esmeralda is next up for me! And I had to laugh when you mentioned learning knitting needles mm sizes. Oddly that’s also one of my knitting goals for 2024. I’m doing pretty well with it so far! I look forward to following along with you this year!
Oh Laura! You will inspire me to keep going on my memorization! :) Thank you! Thanks for visiting and I think you will LOVE Esmeralda! I'm wearing it now. 😍
I love the sweater fashion show! Sooo many beautiful knits! Sometimes it is good to read the pattern, but sometimes it's difficult not to dive head first in excitement as we knit-up a storm!
Thank you for showing all your sweaters together, Leslie. I want to be more intentional about knitting only sweaters I will wear. I’m guilty of knitting whatever is popular at the moment and then not wearing it. I also waste money buying the newest pattern just because “it’s new and shiny”. This will be a year of frogging or passing on sweaters I never wear! I’ve made several friend to friend shrugs, the newest being a black one with black flowers and red silk yarn centers to wear to my granddaughter’s wedding last night😊 I always love watching, Leslie❤️
Happy new year Leslie 🎉..... Lovely to see all your beautiful knits❤ Love your channel so much. Thanks for all the inspiration.... ❤.... Wishing you love, happiness, good health and plenty of yarny goodness in 2024🎉🎈 xx
That was so fun to watch! Funny we are both knitting a hot water bottle cover. I chose my pattern because I wanted to learn to knit cables. Now I know 😊. It was an easy fun project to keep me busy waiting for my yarn to start on Amy’s Coorie in poncho. Have a wonderful 2024
I'm on my fourth Fancy now. It's so easy and quick with Big Birdie. I love that it's light and warm. I wear them almost like a sweatshirt and have observed that it isn't pilling.
Well that was fun. I’ve knit a few of your things too based off your recommendations (so happy with the end products)! For 2024 my big goal is to redraft an Heirloom Quilt Cardigan so that I can knit it in the round with steeks. Adventures in the year ahead 😂.
Dear Leslie, It's so nice to see you in great spirits. Now I am also happy and very inspired by all your beautiful sweaters. I always notice that I want to knit very unusual patterns, but prefer to wear the simplest ones. That's my resolution for this year: less is more. Probably just until the ultimate, most extraordinary pattern catches my eye again and I become weak. Happy New Year to you and your family too. I'm really looking forward to your next episode to see what's currently on your needles. Be hugged, my dear knitting friend. Heike
Have recently found your channel and it has quickly become a favorite! During down-time after the holidays I went back and watched most of the old content! I’m just starting to knit sweaters and love your sweater selections! Am currently knitting the Daily Pullover! Also, love your Friend to Friend shrug, made 6 or 7 for myself and Xmas gifts- thank you!! Looking forward to your 2024 content!!
Love this. My favourite this year was your pattern, the Friend to Friend shrug. I'm on #15! Can't wait for the free pattern. Thank you for your kindness. Happy new year ❤️
Thank you for the review, you Nailed it every time! SO INSPIRING. I love your style and so true about knitting what you will wear, so hard when you are drawn to color, but not my comfort zone for my wardrobe. Good advice ! Happy New Year and look forward to all your episodes.
Happy New Year! Loved seeing your collection and your aesthetic and recommendations have never steered me wrong. I knit 2 Fried to Friends for Christmas presents. My daughter is pregnant and it’s so cute on her and a great pregnancy staple. I’m trying something new, mosaic knitting. I’m not much on color work and this is interesting but no sure its my thing. It’s the night shift, I much prefer garment knitting so I think I’m going to cast on a Lento! ❤ Thanks again!
Awe! I love thinking about your daughter, pregnant, wearing a friend to friend! Makes me so happy! I bet it would be great for nursing moms too! You will LOVE the Lento! So very wearable! Happy knitting friend! xx
I found the lento pattern - thanks - think I'll do that next. What yarn did you use for the sweater. Did you use what the pattern suggested - Mereno by La Bien Aimee and Kumo by La Bien Aimee? Just wondering. So you say you will make another one. What yarn are you thinking of using. I'm not a real fan of the La Bien Aimee yarn that they suggest. Just curiious
Happy New Year! Beautiful sweaters - you do great work! Always love these year end videos and to see.which ones are your favorites. Take care, Kris K from Connecticut ❤🧶
I love The DailyPullover! I made one in Pickle, and have yarn for several more. Leslie I must say, I love your style, plus all the sweaters look great on you. Have you ever worked as a model?
Awe. You are so sweet Beth! Thank you! I had a slight stint in the Ford School of modeling but never did anything with it. :) I bet Pickle is the perfect color for a Daily Pullover! I love that you love that sweater too! Happy knitting sweet friend! 💚👯♀️
Wow, I love every piece you showed! I have never knitted a sweater before, because I’m too intimidated, and I have no one to help me if I run into problems. Any suggestions how to tackle a sweater on my own? New subscriber here 😀
Hi Carmen! Ohhhhh! So exciting to start a new project and possibly knit a sweater! Yes... You can do it! There are so many resources out there now to help! Maybe even a yarn shop near you? RU-vid has so many tutorials and you can always message me on Ravelry! Have fun!
Hi Leslie your water bottle covers are so cute , I'd love to make 2 , for my gurls, they love them also . You knit a lot , did you get wool in Germany ? Happy New Year , ein gutes neues Jahr we say 😊❤
Have you ever knit the Luz Cardigan by Emilie Luis ? My sister has asked me to make it for her in cornflower blue. Her pattern is on Ravelry , and knit with mohair silk. Any recommendations for yarn ? My sister asked for cashmere. But I think it would more cost effective using another soft yarn 🧶. All of your beautiful creations look so soft and cozy! 💙💫. I understand, love having my daughter home with me too. She’s 28 and I don’t see her much anymore . She’s living her best life . 😊
Hi! I have not knit the Lux Cardigan but it looks LOVELY! Wow! I absolutely LOVE the onling yarns! They are overseas but ship so very quickly. The no. 10 held with no. 11 would be perfect! That is what I knit the no frills out of in this video. Pure perfection! int.oenling.com/collections/onling-yarn?currency=USD
