Today me and Mum are up early, to do the tidal River Thames from Teddington to Brentford. The journey is about 4 miles and should take only 45 minutes and the conditions are perfect, clear skies, no wind and a good tide. Last time we went out on a spring tide which did not go so well, but that doesn't mean the almost 360-degree turn into Brentford and the Grand Union Canal, is any easier! Once we're make on the canal, its straight up the Hanwell flight and lots of miles of urban canal before we finally make our way out of London at Harefield and outside the Ulez.
