I have a felon for embezzlement in 1995. My only crime. I finished LVN school in 1999 was denied my license and fought for 3 years to get my license. I had to go to the attorney General of the state of California to be approved and placed on probation status. I had 3 children under 5 and single at that time. It took me years of embarrassment to climb to the top as a RN. I have been working in the ER setting and as a flight nurse since 2008. Interestingly enough, in 2018 when obtaining my MICN, mobile intensive care nurse certification, my felony came up. Literally 23 years later! The system needs to be reformed! You shouldn't have a life sentence if you were not given one. Making it almost impossible to obtain a job let alone a career to support your family! I would love to meet with you and help change the system !

You rock Savannah. I'm 60yrs old and raising a10 yr.old. never had kids until now. Its hard enough just navigating the life of a school aged child. I bet he’s Nanny Fay’s ear & strength. He may withdraw. May not be carrying near the weight Savannah is, but it’s early & he’s probably processing. He knows his family was led by the women…. I bet Grayson is in the total “I don’t care,” phase about anything he can say that about. It becomes so much for that teen brain that they often shut down, seem selfish & loosen the relationship w the parents until they’re 22-24. Hopefully he stays away from alcohol & marijuana. All that would do is prolong the inevitable dealing w all emotionally.

My situation is nothing like Savannah’s but going through trauma, my advice is you have to make sure you’re doing okay, and a lot of self care. When you’re taking care of everyone else (especially due to trauma), you’re going to be in survival mode. And when things start settling down, my health decline drastically. If I could go back and do it again, I would ask for more help, and be in therapy way sooner. You’re doing an amazing job, just don’t lose yourself in the mix💗

Usually there is a way for married inmates to correspond. They do not make it easy though. It's usually jumping through a million hoops, they each need a bunch of signatures of people approving they talk ect. ... Savannah is 26 She is caring for two children. One is about to graduate and the other is a preteen Many sisters and brothers across the world are caring for their sibling getting up and feeding them and walking them to school at the age of 12. Yes Savannah is doing something new and challenging but in true comparisons she has it easy. In my single family home the brother even went to the store to buy tampons for his sister. Savannah you have been very lucky all your life. You now are doing something people have been doing for years and years. You are doing what's right but try not to be a hero and just be a good person without all the back slapping. You are doing a good job just like normal people do every single day of their lives. I knew a 12 year old that babysat 5 days a week after school fix meals for the kids, dressed them, got them up for breakfast while the single parent worked two jobs. Many Many stories out there.

I am an addiction therapist and I agree with you on the whole prison thing of them getting out and not knowing what to do. I think that there needs to be some kind of Transition house after Getting out of rehab. prisoned and Half-way houses.

I so appreciate the awareness you are bringing to the prison system. People don't realize that tax payers pay around $140,000 a year to house an offender and we are doing ZERO to re-habilitate them. I worked in a women's prison. Offenders have a little "job" where they make pennies per day. Those pennies help pay for their crappy hygiene products and maybe some noodles. The rest of the day is spent playing cards or watching TV. Most offenders can't even get into any programs and the programs that ARE offered are total crap. We could be giving these ppl real jobs that pay a little. This would benefit them and society. Money could be put back for them so they have housing when they get out. What Savannah said is 1000 percent accurate. People are sent out of the system with 1 pair of clothes and 100 bucks. And we expect them to get out and do right with just that.?!!! Come on now!!!! Also laws need to change. It shouldnt be so hard for these ppl to find jobs when they get out. Everything is stacked against them. People don't realize that America imprisons more people per capita than most other countries. So much for land of the free. 😢😢

Totally agree! If they are already shunned and looked down upon because you been in prison, it is impossible to get a foot up into society. The chances of going back are high. People may not know, but some prisons profit from housing prisoners. The government pays these prisons take prisoners because it is cheaper. If it is a for profit prison, will they want to rehabilitate the people who makes them money?

Offenders can have no contact with each other is beause they are in their criminal crimes together and both are married to each other that is the reason they put each other apart .. not takeing a risk of escape . Savannah this may not be a great question. However, you don't know if you don't ask. Could your mom and dad receive letters and cards from their fans. If so how would we get it to them. Like could you release their address or set up a post office box up for them and forward the mail to them. Just asking cause I'd like to support them. I know as a child of a parent who was in prison 10 years how difficult it was and how hard it is for all of you kids.

Airline attendants know exactly how much room there is for passengers carry on. So when they tell you to check your bag just do it. Don’t argue about it. Your holding yourself up. Southwest said you were late boarding. The other passengers had already boarded. Regardless if the attendant was rude or not. This could have been avoided by using common sense and following airline rules. I say this as a frequent and avid traveler. My husband is a government engineer. He travels quite a bit internationally

It’s not that the flight attendant was wrong, it was more of how he handled the situation. She admitted they were both probably having a bad day. He took it to an unnecessary extreme to flex his power. He must suffer from a weak ego! All he proved was that he was an asshole! She nailed him properly!

@@ddbean6571 Savannah was late boarding. One hundred passengers had already boarded. The plane and the passengers were waiting and were being held up. A packed plane, they start telling the last twenty passengers or so to check their carryons. There simple isn’t any room left. The airline attendant is in direct communication with the flight attendants. If the airline attendant was being rude or a fool doesn’t mean it was to be reciprocated by Savannah. She doesn’t do well apparently with being told no. It could’ve been avoided had she acted maturely, with discipline, grace and with common sense. She’s setting the example for two kids. They need her now more than ever. Putting it along with every event of her life on social media isn’t very wise either. I understand we all learn as we go. Hopefully so will Savannah

First off…I am laughing so hard right now! Clearly the Flight Attendant was having a day. He was not doing his job! He was so unprofessional! Savannah, you handled this experience better than most people. I’ve seen passengers become unglued over something as simple as being asked to turn off their phones.

hi, a little word of advice if I may, my ex was locked up for six years, I've heard you talk about your mom being scared in there, etc. etc. I would not say anything along those lines nor put it out in the public. Word of things that happen and said on the outside always trickle back in to the prisoners. They will use stuff like this to make your mama's life miserable more than they already are, your mama would not tell you but trust me it's crazy in there it's a whole different world and it has its own way of operating that is not parallel to the outside whatsoever. Saying she is scared Puts a mark on your mamas back for being weak, being weak is being targeted in prison, that means she will be jumped, people will mess with her and antagonize her, she will be tested and have to defend herself really well so she does not appear weak and if she doesn't pass the test she's going to be fucked, they will mess with her forever including and especially the nights leading to her release, even though it's years down the line.so be very mindful of say NOTHING about either of your parents not good not bad not anything. If u must say as expected under the circumstances.If they find out that she's doing too good and happy some in there will make sure she is not. point blank. its how it works in there- shit is real in there. Keep the real feelings in family only. Please trust me on this. The podcast folks will tell you to talk about it, so what is it going to make money off of this but if you love and care for your parents, and I know you do, stop talking about this in public you don't need to mention your parents it's going to hurt them in ways u you don't want to know nor be able to comprehend.

My daughter's father did 5 years plus 3 currently and I totally agree , and as someone who has done some days myself in the past , you never let them see you sweat, and I don't think they realize how street they actually have to change their mentality from rich good life , and Julie definitely won't tell her that I wouldn't as a mother 😢

Hi Savannah ❤🙏I have to applaud you on how strong you are through all of this. We know what you're going through as we have a family member in the prison system as well. I am not sure if you are aware of applying for a hardship. That will enable your parents to be moved to a federal facility closer to you. And I was also wondering if your parents attorneys have tried to file for a sentence reduction because your parents are first-time offenders. I don't know if your parent attorneys have mentioned any of this to you or to them. God bless you and your family wishing you all much much success 🙏💓🙏

Do Not get involved with a pilot. I can tell you as a witness to my friends life that a lot of pilots are unfaithful. They are also gone a lot and spend a lot of time around flight attendants who want to get that pilot. Pilots make a good living but are gone a lot. Most cheat.

As the daughter of a retired Flight Attendant for a major airline.....you're wrong. Yes they're gone a lot but they also have more schedule flexibility than most CEOs. Yes they make good money but not all are cheating pigs. That's like saying all men are dogs when we all know that all men aren't. Don't lump a few bad pilots actions into the entire capacity of pilots. That's silly!

@Leviicy Hatfield I wondered about the homeschooling to but Grayson was in a small private school and I truly believe with the bullying he probably received and what little time he had left in high school wasn't worth the heartache of the bullying he was receiving. My father went to jail for 6 months i know its not along time but when we to see him i couldnt handle it so i o ly went 2 times he was able to go out for work release and then ge would go back after he was done working for the day you are way stronger then me savannah regardless of what your parents did or didn't do i loved watching you and your families show

Savannah you have grown and evolved into such a smart , capable and kind human. I am so sorry this is happening to your family, I cant help but think that both of your parents will be released early due to their non violent good behavior. Please tell your parents that their millions of fans love and think of them daily and we are sending them and you all lots of love and prayers. Keep pushing and evolving so many are being influenced by your positive and responsible behavior towards all of your family. Its a hard job but you have really stood up. Also I hope that hot pilot hears about this interview and contacts you and seriously SouthWorst aitrlines should know about the abhorrent behavior of that attendant. Stay strong lovely lady and don't hesitate to ask for help from your loved ones its important to ask for help before all of the responsibilities and stressors overwhelm you.

He wasn’t a flight attendant. He is an ops agent and that is their job to make sure passengers aren’t bringing on oversized luggage that is too big for overhead bins. FAA makes these rules not Southwest.
