You can’t work as hard as you all do and not have some time away to break up the constant work. Why not go for antiques. 😂 A win you and a win for us. 👏🏼 ❤thank you
It's good to be a discerning shopper. That way, when you do see something perfect and perhaps a little more then you want to spend, you can justify the purchase 😉
It was hard to see the backs of the blue salon set, but I would have expected them to also be upholstered in the same blue fabric and it didn't look like they were.
Oh my, one always needs dishes! I was wishing I could jump through my computer as I saw so many beautiful dishes. The cup you picked up with the bowls underneath was beautiful. Oh well, someday I shall visit and I will look at all the pretty things.
Hi Everyone,I could spend all day, looking at the beautiful antiques! I liked the blue furniture Terry, but don’t think it was grand enough for your rooms, plus it wasn’t upholstered on the back ! Loved the crystal lamp & the pair of gorgeous pinkish, arm chairs, with the gorgeous carving, obviously they needed recovering, I could see them,in the chateau! Hope you had an awesome birthday 🎂 Ash 🎉 Take care lots of love 🥰💞
I’ve just watched your video introducing the family. I can’t believe how much you’ve achieved in the time you’ve been there. It’s amazing. Did you expect to have got so much done to the Chateau. Tracy’s cottage and the magnificent work in the garden. It’s a pity you have no place for the blue furniture. It’s beautiful 🏴👍❤️
That little pink chandelier would be perfect inside a toilet or closet - just saying.. that blue set would look lovely just about anywhere, front entrance, back entrance, in the salon as a separate seating area near a window, in a summer room or ladies sewing room. I don't remember how many rooms you have on the main floor and basement still to restore.
How about a room with old French modern....I see plenty that you could try in a room....especially those yellow seat in the second brocant...you may be surprised how good they go....
Any where in Tracy house for the settee???? If you have fabric that you could cover it to make it suitable for a room. I would not let it bother me that it was newly covered. I would have taken it so fast out the door with pleasure. That settee was a steal. I think i made my point I love it. LOL. Watching from Australia. Cheers everyone.
The blue salon furniture, maybe if your doing a blue room or maybe, blue and silver ? It was beautiful and was well detailed. I'm amazed you didn't grab it
Happy Birthday, Ash. I enjoyed this episode as well. I saw some things that were lovely but the prices were a bit high. You guys can discern better now that you have most of what you need. I am sure you will find more lovely things to come. If they are worn out, Terry and Tracy will make them new. Beautiful Tanya, keeps us all smiling.❤
My favourite thing to do is to go markets, garage sales etc.. plenty of bargains, kicking you left that blue set... could have gone in stable house... it was beautiful 😅 Happy Birthday Ash 🎉🎉🎉😊
Always fun going out shopping with you all !! Many years of the hunt under my belt, I now just go through Marketplace on line or post the many items I have bought over the decades myself!! Love to adventure out with you all
A very happy birthday to you Ash🎉 wonderful blue sweet wondered whether it would go in the Grand Salon although I am sure youwill choose furniture nearer the time All the best Kind regards Nicholas ❤🎉
I'm so jealous! No vide greniers near us this weekend . Just lovely to be in France without family. Happy birthday Ashley 🎉. Love as always from County Durham xxx ❤, and Sancy es Meaux, thirty five miles east of Paris.
‘Modern’ in interior design tends to mean roughly 1930-1950, although some define it more widely as early to mid 20th Century, so you were pretty right Terry. 🇦🇺 that blue sofa looks uncomfortable ☹️
I loved that blue couch set and the two chairs cream and gray. I love this shop! 😲 Do you have a corner nook in a hallway or entrance way? That blue set would look nice.
There was a tapestry at the beginning that I really liked. It was very bright coloured so maybe newer, I loved it. The blue set was gorgeous you could have thought of changing the colours in your grande salon, down the road, but buying for a possible change. The first place you went was disappointing a lot more modern items, typical of a thrift store we go to most weeks on seniors day, 30% off, we usually find something. The small chandelier that had rose coloured glass that looked like flowers, was also lovely, too small for your rooms though. I would love that in my upstairs bathroom. I can dream. ;-) From Saskatchewan, Canada
Happy Birthday Ash. Good to see you guys out antique shopping. The blue set was stunning. Saw a few side tables that were also stunning. As one person commented, I’d have to rent a container to get buys back home. That and win the lottery to pay for it all.
At Emmaus, you showed a couple of table clocks. I just wanted to say, that the little black one would be perfect for a bedroom!! Reason is, that it only had one hole for winding, which means it does not chime! So all it will ever do, is "tic-toc", and you wont be disturbed in your sleep, because a clock wants to tell you it is now 4 o'clock 😂 And this goes for all clocks that only has one hole for winding, even wall clocks. I have a few, just because I think they are cool and a bit special 😂
