A FULL FACE OF E.L.F MAKEUP... HERES MY HONEST FIRST IMPRESSIONS ? 

Hi Patricia! ELF blushes and highlighters have a protective layer to prevent it from cracking and breaking up during transport since they are baked and the packaging isn't as protected/in a metal pan. If you scrape the top layer off, you will get color payoff and can try the highlighter again. I know consumers shouldn't have to do an extra step to use the product but I think the baked blushes & highlighters are quite lovely after scraping off the top layer. Plus they're so affordable. for the highlighter u have to scrap off the top layer and then apply it when u do that it is a vv intense highlighter and it looks really pretty :))

Until watching youtube videos, I never realized how so many beauty brands don't cater to dark skinned woman. It's so ridiculous to me that so many brands don't have dark shades or their darkest shades are too light. Patricia, the top layer of baked products are always never pigmented, that's probably what happened to the highlighter. Scrap off the top layer and it should be good !! 😊😊xx

Hey Patricia, if you don't like the shades in the blush palette you have, they do a palette specifically for deeper skin tones called the 'Blush palette dark 315' and it's got much better colours for POC in it x

Yes! I have the blush gems highlighter and like everyone else said, it has like a protective film over it initially. But once you pretty much scrape that top layer off, it's really pigmented and I love it! It's a really pretty champagne type color.

I use the elf eyebrow gel and powder compact from elf. The gel is great, the powder has a lot of fallout but for $2 you can really work with it to get amazing brows. I always get compliments on my brows, it's not the best eyebrow gel but I can work with it

My favorite product from ELF is the Acne Fighting Foundation. It sounds like it would be drying, but its not, It's quite soothing and calming to the skin. It's got wonderful coverage too-enough to do a full glam, but light enough wear everyday!

As much as I love love LOVE E.L.F. makeup, they are not at all poc friendly. They need a little more help when it comes to it a larger variety. That said, I think they have recently been expanding their skin care then they are going to work on more skin tones. I love their palettes the most though.

e.l.f. is sold in stores in the US and the prices are still standardized. I definitely recommend their primers set with their prime and set powder beneath their foundations. I also recommend busing their glitter shadow primer beneath their shadows. Drop a few eyebrows into their mascara and it saved them from the trash. They have a darker palette than that, but it may be a foundation or concealer. I mix and match them accordingly. I also take their yellow powder, the shimmer powder, and crushed bronzer to make a brown lady setting powder. Their best lip liner is called "Bitter"; it only comes in one color with a built in sharpener. I also recommend their matte lipsticks.

You have problems getting makeup dark enough, I have the opposite problem lol. Nothing is ever light enough! I actually had to go buy a white foundation from a Goth make up website to mix in with mine lol

i live in the us and i absolutely love elf! their stuff is incredible, definitely the same quality as high end brands and it’s so affordable! i use their eyeshadow primer everyday and it never disappoints.

With the highlighters and blush, initially you have to scrape the top of it off in order to get color transfer to your cheeks. It sounds weird but it works. The only thing I like of Elf is their eyeliners. They have a gel one in a pot that's amazing too. Nice video as usual.
